On one hand is a theory that people basically live their lives in three places: home, work, and in fellowship with one another.
On the other hand is how worship, and as a result, church sanctuaries, have evolved. No longer does a minister simply stand behind a podium and preach. Decades ago, using a microphone and speakers to amplify the sound was considered church technology.
"The technology that we're putting into those spaces is phenomenal," Williams said, noting that sound and video systems are the new norm. "Worship is now an experience, and it's an experience you have to reach multiple senses. I think that's a step to reach the society where we are....
