San Diego proclaims 'gay pride' month
After hearing fervent opposition, the San Diego City Council unanimously adopted a resolution introduced by Mayor Jerry Sanders to designate July as "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Month."

Previous resolutions have honored the "gay pride" festival held each July in San Diego, but this apparently is city's the first to designate an entire month, according to festival representatives. The council did approve a Lesbian and Gay Archives Month" in 1992. President Clinton declared June 2000 to be "Gay and Lesbian Pride Month" is the U.S. ...

Matthew 18 verse 11, thats why He came.
You quote Matthew 7 verse 3, how true.
I really like that chapter, verses 7 and 8, do it, it works, verses 15 and 16.
John everyone judges, some won't admit it, I mean, I just did with the weather up where you are.
Thats what by their fruit is, Don't judge a man by his wealth, color of his skin, how smart he is, but by what he says, and/or does, his fruit.
Your ? on the prostitutes, Luke 7 verses 37-50. Notice in verse 43 Simon rightly judged.
And I agree with you, God knows your heart.
Do you need to know Greek and Hebrew to know God, no
Does the Bible say the gay lifestyle is an abomination to God, yes.
Does it tell a person to repent and believe, yes
Hang in there John, its going to get bad, but remember, He will never forsake or desert you, everyone else just might.

Hello terry. I agree with you that just because something is offered to you does not mkae it right. We need to look and see who is offering it to us. Is god testing our control and self disipline, or is it truly a gift from god. Alot of people get love and lust confused, sex should never be the forefront of a relationship. In fact god would perfer we would be celibate(new testament). The fact is only god knows are hearts and in with my past I can not judge people that is part of my salvation. I was raised to beleive unless you are a white male you are nothing. I has since rebuked the devower in the name of jesus and sent that hateful spirit where it belongs, behind me. I bible also tells us if I point out the mote in your eye a beam shall shine from mine. I say to study the bible because jesus wrote in parables where the unsaved would not get it. Or kinda like a riddle if you will it says one thing but really is pertaining to another. In bible times temple prositution was rampid, and we know jesus cleaned out the market in the temple what do u think he would do to prostitutes? Also it is well documented that people use to keep little boys strictly for sex the word begins with a c. Anyway I don't have to try to prove my point like the golden. I have to live by that God Bless

Good point, when I was a whoremonger I was going there also, and a few people took the time to tell me, but some also took the time to tell me, not only why, but how to change my destination.

Yes John you must research the Bible, but you do that using the Bible.
Your point on the word homosexual may be true, I don't know, but the Bible also talks about a man should not lay with another man, nor a woman lay with a woman. Also talks about sex outside of marriage, my flesh hates that part

Everybody has that sin that they must die to, that cross, they must pick up, daily.

There was a time when my knowlage of God was, all good things come from God, true, but I took that to mean if a woman wanted to go to bed with me, that was a good thing. Boy was I wrong.

As far as hate, you say you don't hate?
Good, the Bible says God hates, God is angry everyday, why you think that is John.

Being a christian, I find it very challenging, but the yoke of Jesus Christ easy. Read your Bible and pray.

Hello, I am curious why are people so quick to tell gays that they are going to hell? Did you know that in order to understand the bible you have to research it not just read it? If you get a strong's and look up the words that are used as homosexual in the newer translations you will see that: their is no word in the greek, or hebrewic language for homosexual. It does talk about soft skin boys. Lets think child molesters. Oh and it is rather funny how the people in the past condoned slavery according to what the bible says, but gues what learn what a parable is and learn that this was not the case at all. Sounds to me that alot of people are filled with hate and are using the bible to justify their feelings. God Bless all. We all need more jesus in our lives and need to be molded into what he wants us to be. I hate no one and it is not my place to condem them for their sins, let alone tell them what their sins are. That is where the holy spirit comes in and helps us all out. Remember that the bible also says that the word is not above god's rule and never to let someone on this earth condem you. Maybe if we spent less time on this topic and more on the NWO and the prophecies that are coming true we could be better people. The unions are here. The antichrist is surely approaching

Are you related? Thanks soooooooo much for your encouragement. I've recommended this room to some of my brothers and sisters in Christ. Then, all of a sudden, I read horrible things describing people in this room. I thought to myself, is this a Christian room? I feel bad that there is no one watching/reading what's going on in this room. How great it would be if someone was overseeing what's going on here!!!!

Thank you for your encouraging post. There is no greater blessing than being able to lift a brother or sister along the way. The Christian's purpose in life is to "save and heal" the broken hearted, to bind up that which is broken, and to set the captives free. Jesus said, "As the Father sent me, so send I you."

Jesus also said, "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences! For it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!" (Matt 18:6)

"These little ones" does not mean little children—it means the saints of God that have become as little children in the Kingdom of God. Except we become as little children, we cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

We're all familiar with John 3:16,17 -- but nowadays we don't hear men quoting John 3:18,19,20,21 -- they don't like the sound of these verses !?!


John 3:
18) He that *believeth* on Him is not condemned: *but* he that *believeth not* is condemned already, because he *hath not believed* in the name of the only begotten Son of GOD.

19) And this is the condemnation, THAT LIGHT IS COME INTO the world, and men **loved darkness** rather than LIGHT because *their deeds* *were evil*.

Let me thank 4 people in this room who really "came to the rescue" re: my struggle with / bisexuallity. Jessica !! Bravo !! KK !! and Abigail !!. You 4 in particular sound like you know {and practice !!] what the Bible says " bear ye one anothers burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ". Let's pray that backbiting may stop in this room and that we may be "an arm and a hand" to one another!! Isn't that really what the Christian life is all about ???????????

The sower in Matthew 13:3-8 not only sowed good seed in good ground, but in shallow ground, rocky ground, where thorns grew.

It is the kindness of God that leads us to repentance and we will reap what we sow. Friends if we see another as shallow ground or ground with thorns and sow not the kindness of God to your perceived enemies. You will indeed reap what you sow. I plead with you by the mercies of Jesus to forgive and be kind to one another and pray for one another.

Thanks Abigail. Even though we disagree on some stuff I still think that you have a good heart, which is a lot more than I can say for others on this site.

To the rest of you: I really do think I’m nearing my limit for all of this. I don’t know how many times I need to say I don’t approve of homosexuality before you stop accusing me of doing so. I think most of you hear what you want to hear in my posts. I agree that homosexuality is sin, but I don’t agree that I need to entangle myself in legal battles over things like gay marriage. I just don’t think it’s fair or effective. I mean, if lobbying to make gay marriage illegal actually won some souls then I’d be all for it, but it doesn’t. Sharing the love of Christ with people in a personal way is the only strategy that works at all. Jesus ministered to people where they were and didn’t hurl insults at them. His love for “unlovable” sinners opened their hearts to the work of the Holy Spirit so they could understand the shamefulness of their sin. That kind of real love was the only thing that made me want to submit to Jesus and change my ways; not name calling or threats of Hell.

In my comments I was thinking about someone who once asked a question on this site, wondering if it meant they were "gay" if they notice that another man was good looking.

"There is no beauty that we should desire Him"

Isaiah 53:2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.

Sarah, Rachel, Tamar, Saul, Absalom, David and Daniel are all noted in the Scriptures as being nice looking people.

2 Samuel 14:25 But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.

In this may those who notice the attractiveness of the same gender be assured and comforted, that it does not mean they are a homosexual.

1 Timothy 5:2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.

In noticing the beauty of the opposite sex, this should only be done in the most pureness of heart. A man seeing the beauty of a woman, should see her as a sister desiring to protect her in all chastity. A woman seeing a man that is nice looking, should behold him as the image of God in all purity.

Didn't God create men and women to be sexually attracted to each other?

If this is natural, then at what point does it become a sin? Would you say it becomes a sin if one dwells on it and/or allows it to become lust? This may be a difficult subject to fully understand, but it does seem important for a christian to have a biblical understanding, would you say?
