...or perhaps scrap the whole thing and find out what the new covenant is about.
there is neither Jew nor Greek in Christ. Whatever claims are for one side are for the other as well.
Christ brought the heavenly Kingdom to us through the cross and Resurrection so that we could see the glory of God and remain with Him forever. this is the gospel Kingdom we have been called to preach.
I'd suggest scrapping the commentaries and read the gospels first, then the letters, and then find out what all those moving picture symbols of Revelations mean... they'll find that the tribulation is what believers go through and that the book is a source of encouragement for all of us as we bring the gospel Kingdom message to the world.... then Revelations will be put in its right place as encouragement to the soldiers of the Prince of Peace not a futurist blueprint for worldly attacks and defeats. (have our teachers not brought us enough defeat and bloodshed and loss of natl sov toknow they are being deceived?)
too bad they never tell them about cyures like intravenous vitamin c. why do we go to the poisons first? will God raise up a generation willing to honor their bodies instead of automatically sacrificing them to darwins minions?
Nuance, I would certainly hope to see them restored and right with the Lord, but denial to the issues at hand is not the way they are going to get there. Rather its more guilt-based works-based religion. And they want all the Christians in America to participate by "feeling their pain". There's a better way to resolution, and it would be one that silences the pagans, and that is remorse. This would take time and the work of the Holy Spirit-- especially among their followers that made idols out of them. Are the Huckabites feeling any remorse for watching the lives of the smiley children, their personal lives? Not really, they are leaving themselves as spiritual victims to the spiritual battle at play with the sodomite agenda.
taking personal responsibility would take the wind out of their sails, but as we know what pride does. just because someone comes upon an open door does not mean that the Lord opened it.
