I'm not altogether convinced that being taken away is a benefit. in the case below, they were taken away into the flood (judgment)..."And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left." Matthew 24:39
and in this case again we see initially the tares taken out and the wheat left behind, and then the wheat is bundled and put in shelter.
"Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn." Matthew 13:30
also we see in both cases that the judgment of the tares is eternal and eternal life is "spiritual", if we are to be ashamed of spiritual things, we don't have a thing, the Christian life is spiritual by nature.
