Let's hope he goes the whole route and gives back most of the money. He should sell off assets and give them to ministries which properly teach the Word of God. I do appreciate this move towards truth. We get these guys recently who are leaving the Faith publicly and then we get Benny moving towards it. I hope the best for him.
Romans 1:32. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. This verse describes everyone who voted for this bill.
Well, now he knows. Unfortunately it is too late for him. My understand is he had a wife who was a believer. They were divorced, but he did have the witness there. I am sad for anyone who dies and is going to be judged without the grace of God. For none of us could stand if we have to face the justice of God.
Stevenr wrote: It wasnât too long back that the headlines read âDivorces are trending down in the US.â What they didnât mention in that particular headline was that the reason behind lower divorce rate was lower marriage rate. Just saying Years ago I read a book by Jeff VanGoethem entitled, "Living Together". The book showed the adverse affects of people cohabitating. It was an eye opener. Our nation will reap the whirlwind even more as we have already.

Sam, I guess Mrs. Clinton has not heard of the Golden Rule. We are to treat people the way we want to be treated. According to Mrs. Clinton can Republicans be uncivil if the Democrats want to destroy what they care about? If she is being honest then the answer has to be yes.

Of course, you can argue the figures are not accurate, when in the fine print, they admit that not all Southern Baptist cthe hurches report their numbers to the central office. As for United Methodists, I can understand them failing, in part due to their doctrinal deviation on the sodomite issue. The newspaper article has a bit about a church meeting in a tavern, a bar that is. It reminds me of the other story here at S.A. about the California church making and serving beer. What will they think of next? Maybe meet in the parking lot of a shopping center?
Don, what they will think of next is to grow their own pot and dispense it. That will get folks in the door. Better have good snacks after the service though because pot brings on the munchies.

Thanks for the video. I watched the whole thing this afternoon. It is so easy to be swept away by worldly thinking as this video shows. I will continue to pastor small churches because I will never stop preaching the Gospel.
ladybug wrote: "Christians are part of a community and thus those who have forsaken church are not part of a community." Where does the bible say this? From quiet Christian, " It's not about a social community led by someone to do nice things. It's about Jesus and Him crucified on our behalf that we might live thru Him, and as a group, become the Bride of Christ." From BM, "The Lord upholds his church in his will and by his hand. Her bonding and growth are by the divine, quiet, secret work of His Spirit in the heart." Both of these statements are accurate concerning the church, which is a body of believers called out from every tribe, tongue and nation, and NOT a brick and mortar building or denomination/non-denominational man made organized religion. The social gospel isn't the main function of the elect. Proclaiming Christ crucified to a lost and dying world is more needful than meeting a temporal, physical need.
Christians are part of a Christian Community. We are part of God's family through faith in Christ. Years ago even unbelievers would go to church because it was socially acceptable. Thus they experienced what community feels like despite not being truly saved. As the culture has turned away from God they have lost the community experi
I actually was encouraged somewhat from his comments. He recognizes the good that comes from the church. Christians are part of a community and thus those who have forsaken church are not part of a community. Friends, don't be downhearted. We are recognized for our good works and perhaps some will praise our Father in Heaven for it. Of course Mark's conclusion is silly. You can't replace the church with Facebook. The Church is Christ's Body on Earth. We are His hands and feet. Praise His Name!!!!
If ever satanist prayed at the same time would Satan be able to hear all of them at once? No, because he isn't God. Only God is all knowing and all wise. The Devil is just trying to grab praise from people who are condemned already because he is condemned as well.
Piper is correctly in that we should have deep respect for the body. In the Bible the Lord condemned those who burned bodies because it was disrespectful. Are people doing this when they choose cremation? No, most get cremated because of expense. I see it that cremation only speeds up what will happen naturally. The truth is I get this question as a pastor on many occasions. People truly want to know if they are sinning by choosing cremation. I tell them no, but as what stated earlier if your conscience won't allow you to do it then don't do it. As for myself I would like to be cremated and have my ashes sprinkled in the ocean. I want this for a very simple reason. It will show the world that I truly believe that the Lord Jesus is the King of the Universe. For only He could find every particle of my being, bring it back together and raise me bodily. In fact I would have it read at my funeral that these are my intentions. It would be my last chance to tell the Devil off because He too doubts the power of God
Allie wrote: So the school district does not allow Gideon to share their religion with children, but the atheists and satanists may be able to share theirs. Based on their argument the government would be establishing religion(s). Atheists and Satanists (both worship Satan) will never destroy the Church since Christ is its living Head. They will pass away and be forgotten, but He reigns forevermore. We should pray for these children who are to be fodder for these evil people. Pray God will have mercy. That the parents will wake up and protect these kids.
Amen Allie!! If you think of it Yahweh has outlasted every other god in ancient times. When was the last time you saw a Molech worshipper? Anybody truly worship Artemis anymore? No, but there are millions of believers in the God of Israel who is Father,Son, and Holy Spirit who will be praised for all eternity.

You make a very good point. We are blessed when we follow God and His Ways. I also see that as the world gets darker, then it is an opportunity for those who truly know Jesus as Savior and Lord to shine the light of salvation and a blessed Christian walk.
Mike, you hit it on the head. We are being inundated with sensuality. If I am watching tv and a victoria's secret commercial comes on do I have to guard my heart? Yes, of course I do because sensuality is all around. It's not just hardcore pornography we have to be care about it's the everyday pornography that is on tv. Even when I check my yahoo mail after I log out I will sometimes see provocative pictures on the main yahoo screen. Jesus help me and other men who are wanting to live holy.
Mike wrote: One would need a blindfold in this world to avoid "porn" because it runs the gambit from innocent clothing ads on tv or magazines to the most vile images from the pit of hell. Reprobates are probably going to be more inclined to be drawn to the most vile material. Nice guys who have weak moments the more tame fare. Lust is simply part of the sinful human condition. Frankly I think these studies are not taking this "jerk factor" into account. Christ knows our struggles. Repentance is a turning away, a change of direction. Yet we will inevitably drift off course from time to time. Never give up the fight!
I agree with most of MacArthur's article. But I also would like to interject something Richard Baxter the Puritan pastor said in,"The Reformed Pastor". He asked the question whether a pastor can be restored back into ministry after committing shocking sin? He said the pastor must for a long time sit on the back pew and after some time when people remember his repentance more than they do his sin, then he is fit to come to the front of the church again. MacArthur's point a extremely valid. Is a year long enough to accomplish this? No way!
There is change within a species over time, but we have never observed through our eyes or the fossil record a change from one species becoming a different one. We should have plenty of evidence if this was true. In fact every morning we should trip over these intermediate species. If it took 4 billion yrs then this would be true. But there is NO evidence of any of these species.
Ron, you nailed it. His young woman talked about the lack of a father and all the proponents of gay marriage can say is what about me me me. If two gays marry then the kids grow up without a mother. If it's two lesbians they grow up without a father. These things sometimes happen because of death, or divorce, but it used to be called a tragic thing. People would say the home is broken. Now I guess neither sex is needed and does not bring anything unique to the table of family life. BTW, I always wonder how in a lesbian family jars get opened? In my house I am needed for this manly endevour.
Ron wrote: The most glaring aspect of this whole discussion is the contrast of Heather's other-centered attitude toward the needs of her kids vs the self-centeredness -"my rights" - of the same-sex advocates & LGBT crowd.
