I am not sure how to frame my question. But was this 501(3c) privilege seen as a way to invoke God's blessings upon our nation due to tithing? Got it! Was our government doing this initially to tithe?
Or, was this a way of separating the rule and image of God and Caesar; church and state? Even showing how Christians are obedient servants?

Are we speaking of America or the ongoing strife in Zionist Israel.

Let's get these people in the limelight.

this news does sadden me. praying for the brethren of the east and west.
I an undertand China more than what I see of the people in this video; people supported by American Christians who claim that their lives are changed just by visiting. We should stop supporting them. These Zionists will nuke Americans. Make no mistake about it.

We have to accuse him of something in support of Congress also.
Our forces cannot be spread too thin. Aren't troops in Sudan where hundreds of thousands have been killed or starved to death? Maybe Israel could send troops.

I thought Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Bad, so they were then enabled to do both good and bad, not just bad. They weren't totally depraved from doing good.
They were not enabled to do good and evil but became aware of good and evil.

As you can see from the verse below there are none that do good.

Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

My apologies to all. The "Outside the Camp" crew are apparently non-denominational, not Presbyterian. So I retract my previous post. There is nevertheless plenty of other evidence on the web of Presbys trying to outdo each other.

However, it is still true that historically, Presbys have viewed all Baptists as heretics. Believing as they do in a State Church, where they have been in control of such they have never been slow to use the Magistrate to put heretics to death. So Baptists and other non-conformists have to know their history to ensure that history does not repeat itself!

This may also explain why some Presbys on these forums display such disdain for Baptists, and sometimes even vent their spleen. They are not here to learn but to bring the heretics into the fold

I remember well, John. At the time I knew nothing about the presbys and I'm still just beginning to learn but what I'm learning so far leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
I read a bit more @ the SWRB site about paleo vs. neo presbys. The sheer arrogance which reeks from the article is disgusting. No wonder I frequently sense an elitist attitude from the presbys.
Jesus said: "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." But the presbys, like the Pharisees of old, would increase the burden of all they can affect with layers of the letter of their laws and covenants which kill the simplicity of Christ.
If the presby second reformation was of God how is it that it didn't flourish and spread over the face of the earth with God going before?
The vernacular bible, free of the dictates of church and state, is what flourished and overspread the earth and continues to do so to this day. That is what God blessed.
They try and outdo each other in their Pharasaism. If you think SWRB is bad (and there is no doubting it is), have a read of ]]Outside the Camp

"Milton embraced many heterodox Christian theological views. He rejected the Trinity, in the belief that the Son was subordinate to the Father, a position known as Arianism; and his sympathy or curiosity was probably engaged by Socinianism: in August 1650 he licensed for publication by William Dugard the Racovian Catechism, based on a non-trinitarian creed."

The Koran is an evil blasphemous book.

Say: 'Praise be to God who has never begotten a son; who has no partner in His Kingdom..." (Surah 17:111)

"'How shall I bear a child,' she [Mary] answered, 'when I am a virgin...?' 'Such is the will of the Lord,' he replied. 'That is no difficult thing for Him...God forbid that He [God[ Himself should beget a son!...Those who say: 'The Lord of Mercy has begotten a son,' preach a monstrous falsehood..." (Surah 19:12-, 29-, 88)

"The God will say: 'Jesus, son of Mary, did you ever say to mankind 'Worship me and my mother as gods besides God?' 'Glory to You, 'he will answer, 'how could I ever say that to which I have no right?" (Surah 5:114-)

"In this study we will be looking at some of the places where the readings found in most modern versions are based on only one, two or a small handful of manuscripts as opposed to the overwhelming majority of all other Greek copies. You will also find many examples of where the Nestle-Aland, UBS critical Greek texts continue to change from one edition to the next. The Modern Multiple-Choice, X Files (the truth is out there somewhere) Bible of the Month Club's contradictory versions have no settled and final text. The main versions referred to in this study are the King James Bible, NKJV, NASB, NIV and the ESV." (excerpt from 'Is this "Science" or Hocu-Pocus'?)

For example, in Revelation 17:4 Codex 1r and all other Greek manuscripts have the word ἀκάθαρτα (“impure”), but Erasmus’ text reads ἀκαθάρτητος, a word unknown in Greek literature.
Could it be that the Greek word 'ἀκαθάρτητος' is unknown is
because it is a spelling error?

tidbit, note that they "chant to the sound of the viol." Chants involve words, so I must infer that the words were false propositions.
Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
(Amo 5:23)

The Lord was not pleased with the noise not the words of their song. He also would not hear the melody of their viols.

"If so how do we know from the Bible how to discern between good and evil music?"
I don't know. Food for thought: lyrics contain logical propositions, or declarative statements, which can be true (of God) or false (of Satan). Can a sequence of notes contain propositions?
I concur with Lurker's remarks.
That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David; That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
(Amo 6:4-6)

Why was God not pleased with their music?

Is it a sin to sing hymns with doctrinal error in it? Would this please the Lord? Or should we sing hymns written by unitarians, catholics, quakers etc.?

I don't care about the instruments, as that is secondary. Ban instruments if you like; it doesn't resolve my question about tunes.
But how can one eliminate music? That is impossible.
You are right; it is impossible to eliminate music. God did not give us a literal musical blueprint in the Bible so now what? Is there a way to know from the Bible what music is pleasing to God and what is not pleasing to Him? Do you think all kinds of music are pleasing to God? If so, why? Is there satanic inspired music? If so how do we know from the Bible how to discern between good and evil music?

Rap music can conceivably use Psalm lyrics & avoid instruments; the only remaining question of any relevance is the style.
The music/tune is still there without musical instruments; the singing voice is an instrument that carries the tune. Where does a tune begin but in the heart of a man.
