whats interesting is no one can find any double blind study to see whether these vaccines are actually safe. IOW the companies that produce these vaccines do not do double blind studies, nor are they required.

Double blinds are required on the majority of medicines & over the counter drugs, but NOT for vaccines.

Things that make you say "Ummm..."

Hi John,

BTDT while in the military (POW/SERE school in the 80's) & its extreme as SBGG said. I saw my limits & don't ever want to go down that road again.

Point being those who say its not really torture, its just water splashing, &/or its acceptable, they've never been subjected to it, so how can they make such a judgment call? Simple, they cannot.

Its a shame there are too many backseat drivers everywhere. The worst are those who are in the church, who say one thing, but live another. If we are in a spiritual battle, dont you think we had better start acting like it? Isnt it time for those who call themselves "christian" to start acting like Jesus?

Just a thot.

Well, Steve, I'm not sure it's necessary to have been tortured to know it isn't good... wonder if having water poured on your face is torture...
Hi Mike,

My comments not to say WB is okay, or one must be tortured to say so. True there are much worse, but WB is not just "water poured on your face". Its comments like these that show an ignorance of the topic (ignorance is used as a person without full knowledge of a subject; I do not use as it as an insult - case in point I am ignorant of quantum physics, chia pets & the hypnotic effect of barney & how it differs between children & adults).

Anyway, WB is a carefully controlled torture technique used to repeatedly "drown" a person to the point of mental, physical & emotional breakdown, w/out actually killing them.

Again my comment is not to condone torture, but just wondering if anyone here has experienced this, or do we just have a bunch of backseat drivers who are downplaying a very harsh torture technique?

I am not being sarcastic or demeaning, I am honestly wondering because those that have experienced WB do not downplay its harshness. Of course the world will do what it will do. The only lasting change is thru Jesus Christ.

I look forward to more replies.

Love,

Ummm....

So Jhawk44, do you speak from experience? IOW have you ever been "waterboarded" for any considerable length of time?

Just curious

Opps let me say one more thing - not all building is bad.

If God does tells you to build something, you better do it (read about Noah & the thing God told him to build), but if its your own idea, it could be a bad thing (for you and others around you).

I think lots of folks need to apologize - click on my link to see an example of an apology to the world. Just a regular guy who when convicted by God, said sorry to the world for doing his own thing. Very thought provoking.

Love ya,

steve

"It was a tremendous step of faith to build this," for the $3.5 million project. "There's been an adjustment period."

Wow.

I wonder if anyone asked God about that 3.5m debt? They probably only advertise to those that make $30K - $80K a year.

Gee isn't that showing partiality?

Going after only the rich & those who have money? Seems to me that lots of "christians" need to read James 2:1-12.

Imagine judgment day...

Jesus: Did you do what I commanded? Breaking the yokes of oppression, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, taking in the poor wanderer & setting the captives free from sin, addiction, etc?

Mega-church Pastor: No, not exactly but we can seat 3,000 people comfortably, with dolby 5.1 surround sound...

Jesus: Ummm.... (followed by an eerie silence)

(Note: read the parables of Jesus - the sheep & the goats, the virgins, the talents, vineyard, etc - it will help in preparing for the "final exam").

Keep praying that God will continue to draw His remnant closer to Him till He comes.

Love you all,

steve

cool, no perhaps we can get some good bank tellers who wont come up short in the till at the end of the day.

Now if we could only teach elephants to do math - think of all the money we could save in that they only work for peanuts.

(yea lame but kinda funny)

Hey anyone that has a problem with porn or any other addiction, God can free you.

Check out this vid on youtube. The guy there is serious and will pray with you about anything and everything.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMx8tTuuICo

Running away from it isnt the answer because eventually you run right back into it. Perhaps we are deep in the wrong stuff & its a constant problem because we have a lot of sin in our lives (and not just the porn). Anyway God heals and delivers from all kinds of stuff.

Check it out.

Love you all,

steve

I agree that in persecuted countries the christians there have a more dynamic & serious relationship with God than us here in the U.S.

Apathy, greed and over abundance in the west is persecution that not many christians see.

Its all about seeking God, listening & obeying Him.

wow so instead of teaching our children via our dynamic and active relationship with God that focuses on repentance & obedience, we deny His power and leave the spiritual training of our children to a piece of plastic.

Ummm... I dont think this is what God had in mind when He said to "train a child in the way they should go".

Keep seeking God, listening & obeying Him.

Love you all,

Steve

Heck if Rick Warren held up a big rock in front of his church, I imagine they would still give a standing ovation.

Its sad that the modern church has become and the problem is we have all contributed to its down fall in some way, shape or form.

Please check out a youtube video called "Open Letter of Apology to the World" and you will see WHY the church has fallen so far.

MBA, strange how the bible differs in that pastors are not always the most educated person.

The bible says its the person who is a servant and who is in the trenches. Its no wonder the world thinks the church is so messed up - we keep trying to do it our way, instead of God's.

Check out the website. Keep seeking God, listening & obeying Him.

Love ya steve

There is an image problem...

The body of Christ (the majority of those claiming to believe & follow Him) are not conforming to HIS IMAGE.

Keep seeking God, listening & obeying Him.

"I don't think that God would want us to evangelize like Jesus did 2,000 years ago"

yea that raised a red flag for me too.

Its not that audio/visual equipment is "evil" but if your using all this 8.1 BILLION DOLLARS of equipment because God & His power are not present, then something is terribly wrong.

I wonder if anyone prayed & asked God if they should spend that 8.1 Billion on equipment or for actually doing what He wants us to do (preach the gospel, clothe the naked, feed the hungry, etc).

This thing they call "church" is a growing monster that needs to be fed. Too bad its at the expense of putting people in bondage with no emphasis on what God really wants (just compare these modern church messages to the messages of God, Jesus & the disciples).

Repent or perish.

Love ya all,

Steve

Hard to say its an allegory. I believe the bible - & it says there was a flood that covered the earth.

What is really interesting is that there are over 300+ flood legends from around the world.

Ummm... I guess God is pretty serious about sin, and its highly probable its not just an "allegory".

What is the worst thing to happen if we take it as an actual event? A greater respect for the Almighty God and that repenting is a good thing, even if it hurts.

Of course its not what you know, its who you know (Matt 7:23).

Keep seeking God, listening & obeying Him.

Love ya all,

Steve

yea TV is getting worse by the minute. MOF we are going to drop our cable at the end of the month.

Simplicity seems to go hand in hand with holiness. Surrender all to Him and do as He says, or you might become a player in the New World Order. If you dont think you could fall pray to the NWO click on my like to see a vid I compiled that shows how seductive and easy it is to fall away from the truth.

BTW when it comes to TV shows (or anything else), do we make it a point to ask God if we should do something before we do that "couch potato" thing?

Steve

...continue part 2

In light of the bible's warnings to flee from those who preach a different message, why do people still embrace these things? Perhaps because the Catholic doctrine has such a weak view on sin. Did you know that its only required to confess your sin once a year at minimum, but the bible says to examine yourself daily? Ummm... yea something is amiss.

The Catholic doctrine is a different message, one that should be avoided. But inlight of this info we need to pray for those and others who are lost in false doctrine and continue to show love as Christ commanded. Still its strange how people will hold fast to their denominational beliefs (protestant or catholic) instead of just following Jesus CHrist and His word.

Love ya all,

Steve

Its important to believe whats right & true, its in the OT & NT. My parents became believers while in the Catholic Church but when they saw the differences between the Catholic doctrine vs the bible (God's standard) they left the Catholic church.

We have a responsibility to worship God in spirit & in truth.

Click on my link to see a youtube video where I compare the Catholic doctrine against the bible. You will see the major differences. One big one is the Catholic church has elevated Mary as another mediator & advocate, when the bible states that Jesus Christ is the ONLY mediator & advocate! They also state Mary ascended to heaven (a big event in heaven) and crowned her as "Queen of Heaven/Queen of Everything" even tho there is no account found in the bible. end part 1...
