Greetings to all my compadres on SA news forum.
A miracle took place in our family today, and I wanted to give GOD all the glory and share with you all...The Lord Jesus Christ called my 89 year old Roman Catholic Dad to Himself and he (my Dad) left the RC institution.Called the priest and told him he will no longer be attending their meetings.
So much I could say, but suffice it that my dear Dad is now my brother in Christ..Praise God,to Him be all the glory.
Amen!
Praise God!!!

I just saw this, sister, and my heart rejoices with you. I am reminded of the parable of the workers who the Lord called in the eleventh hour, yet they received the same reward as those who were called early on. Praise God for His marvelous mercy! So happy for you and your father. We will be praying for him.

One great thing about singing the psalms...
I heartily commend this to all on SA, that you might at least try it out...
Howdy, Bro. John!

I second your call for psalmody. It is one of the means we are given in order that the "the word of Christ dwell in you richly." (Colossians 3:16) Notice that the singing of psalms is not an option for the believer, but a command.

Proverbs 23:13-14
(13) Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
(14) Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

Don't tell me, you sing that round a log fire, with an acoustic guitar, when you go hunting with the boys? I can tell the accent from the words.
How did you know???

Hannah gave women the example to follow. It is God who opens and closes the womb and He knows the ache and longing of a woman who desires motherhood. I know those of us who have struggled or are struggling with infertility would do well to keep looking up and remember our Creator above what we can create.
He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD. (Psalms 113:9)

Your chickens are pushovers, TMC. My goats insist on pizza three times a week, flat-screen TV, Sleep Number beds and a hot tub. If I don’t provide all of this, I’m afraid they’ll call the Department of Caprine Services and have me picked up for neglect. The cell phone bills alone have me on the brink of bankruptcy.
Are your goats in prison?

Except that this vote isn't about Trump. It's about the merit of Kavanaugh.

And what if the senate rejects Kavanaugh? The next nominee will be a Trump nominee as well. From the Dem's perspective, how is that any better? This is nothing more than political posturing by the left to their base. (That's you, Jim)

Have disproved this on this forum multiple times. Is there a reason you keep posting what has been proven to be misleading and inaccurate information? Give it some consideration Jim, this is a Christian forum, we should be truthful.
Perhaps because he has not received a love for the truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12
(8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
(9) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
(10) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
(11) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
(12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The real problem is that many so called "evangelicals" don't really know what the term means...
It's one of those words that has been used in so many different ways that it really has lost its meaning. I prefer the word coined by R. C. Sproul - "imputationist". Now there's a descriptor with real meaning!

Not my fault you are reading inaccurate sources whose prejudices color their distorted viewpoints. I gave you the definitive one, read it and you will see the truth of the matter.

I'm not a military guy, but isn't a minefield one of the most effective and cost efficient defenses? Why would the South willingly give that up? The only one who gains by both sides removing minefields is the aggressor.

That action concerning romanticized relationships was never approved by the board and the original wording has been reinstated.
So, they reinstated the original wording, but have they fired (or will they fire) the ones who instituted the change? If not, all they have treated is the symptom - not the disease.
