Much prayer is needed for the victims and their families.

We all ought to remember the scriptures “Teach us to number our days” for “As it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgment”

@NC God also killed a ruler in the book of Acts, and He killed two people named Ananias and Sephira.

But remember, God has the right to kill rebel sinners.

@NC I would recommended you start with the Genesis Flood, God killed man, woman, and child by a worldwide flood. We can make our way to Exodus where God killed people via Hailstones. And God killed every firstborn of the Egyptians.

We can fast fast forward our way to the battle of Jericho where God brought down the walls of Jericho and Command the Jewish army to slaughter the occupants.

We can move right along where the angel of the Lord killed 150,000 men. God had 400 prophets of Baal killed by the sword. God sent bears to kill youth who were mocking His prophet.

I think that anyone can see the error in Jim's post. Jim, in any religion, you aught to examine the people in light of their ideology, in other words the ideology/teaching is to be examined more than the people.

Once you know the ideology, you can determine whether or not the people (or in this case, Muslims) are living up to the teachings of their holy book(s)

And we see that in Western civilization, most Muslims are not living up to their holy books, which is ironic because their holy books say to kill the hypocrites. Who are the hypocrites? Muslims who do not follow the Koran or hadiths.

Pay more attention to the ideology, so that you can see if its adherents are living up to that ideology.

Hold the phone Adriel, that is not the Christian attitude, shouldn't you be praying for them? Shouldn't you beg Jehovah to save them? Where is your love for them? I just have to rebuke you for what you said. Haven't you heard that homosexuals have come to Christ, they have fled their wicked ways because of the cross,

that's where we can see the beauty of, "ye were quickened by the Spirit" "such were some of you"

Your attitude is like that Steven Anderson dude or the Westbro church, that is not a godly attitude, that is not being like Christ. I pray that you will see your error and repent from such an attitude.

The reason why I think humanism is more dangerous is that it throws all morals out the window (or at least tries to) Islam on the other hand has at least some set of moral standard, whereas humanism has no moral standard.

@Chris, I did notice the distinction you made and it is a proper distinction

@ The Quiet Christian, I never said that it is hate to tell someone that they are wrong, you did not answer the question and you missed my point.

@Chris, true that all roads, except Christianity, lead to hell; however that being said, I view humanism as a belief that is more dangerous than Islam. As the old saying goes, let's agree to disagree. And to answer your question, I am talking about Islam in general, but Muslims particularly.

I agree that Muslims are lost, but would you agree that humanism is more dangerous than Islam?

And Adriel, I'm wondering if you've heard the response of Muslim apologist such as Shabir Ally, who has responded to your question?

I'm also quite intrigued that Christians are starting to have a particular...hatered towards Islam, the sort of hatred that the Christians had towards the Catholic Church. I'm not saying that anyone here has such a hatred, but it's just interesting to see such an attitude that Christians have been developing.

Has anyone else seen this attitude develop within the Christian community?

In-N-Out sounds good right about now. The democrat who tweeted that is a few clowns short of a circus. Just because a food chain gives money to the Republican Party means that they are 100% behind Trump? Let's hope that stupidity isn't contagious.

It's very sad that this happened, but I wonder how much the video games actually played into it, I believe that there are thousands upon thousands of "gamers" that play violent games but we don't hear of thousands of thousands of gamers going out and shooting people, trying to track down terrorists, trying to hijack airplanes, etc. there seems to be a small minority of such a group.

There's a lot of people who read violent comic books, and most don't go out killing people. In fact, I don't think Chairman Mao, Joseph Stalin, Hitler, Paul Pot, etc. played a lot of violent video games, but they were extremely violent. It just shows the depravity of man.

I think the violent gaming industry won't be affected too much by this, I think the big thing will be the gun control issue.

Ligonier ministries is putting out a teaching series about Islam 101.

Dr. Sproul wrote a book on Islam "The dark side of Islam" & I believe he has a teaching series on it as well.

We have a plethora of theologians who deal with Islam, apologists such as Matt Slick, David Wood, Ravi Zacharius, Nabel Queshi, etc.

There are plenty of materials on witnessing to Muslims,

& the reason why there are theological conferences is that we have a better grip on our own theology in order to understand our faith in a deeper & richer way & to defend the faith. Your theology will determine your apologetics.

Do your homework, it's really that simple. I would direct people to look at the G3 conference, and the fact that James White has debated prominent Muslim scholars.

I agree that pastors need to be better equipped to answer Muslim objections and to be better equipped to witness to Muslims, here's a Muslim objection, " according to your scriptures Jesus (God) was Baptized, the Father (God) spoke, and the Spirit (God) descended on Jesus (God). Isn't that three Gods?"

How would you answer that? If you've studied the Trinity and listened to theologians teach on the Trinity, you would know how to answer that objection without dabbling in Modalism or some other heresy.

Remember when those Presbyterians kidnapped that pastor and raped the women...me neither, those were Muhammad's disciples (Muslims), Jesus's disciples have adopted orphans, built orphanages, have given food to the hungry, have started multiple charities, have been against unjust slavery, have made and continue to make advancements in science, translated the Bible so that everyone might have and read one, have ministered to widows, and wives whose husbands were in jail, built colleges, educated folk, influenced kings, queens, presidents, etc. for the good of mankind, loved their enemies, left their homes to preach the gospel...not so much Islam.
