Someone once said, “It’s better to reign in Hell than to serve in Heaven.”

PS 84:10 “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”

The wonders of the Lord in how good & merciful, He is too His people, in showing amazing patience with us,. Praises to the Lord, as I am today & everyday. Truly am doing better than I am deserving of amen.

All the men in the world are either vessels of mercy or vessels of wrath, according to the will of God. (Thomas Hooker)

Thomas Watson; A man's greatest care should be for that place where he lives longest; therefore eternity should be his scope.

Thomas Watson; Eternity to the godly is a day that has no sunset; eternity to the wicked is a night that has no sunrise.

John UK; I have a free & renewed spirit too, as all Praises & All glory goes to no King but Christ Alone, as the essence of Salvation is of the Lord alone; Jonah 2:9. & Hallelujah, what a Savior He is amen!

Loraine Boettner; THE INFINITE VALUE OF CHRIST’S ATONEMENT; This doctrine doesn’t mean that any limit can be set to the value or power of the atonement which Christ made. The value of the atonement depends upon, & is measured by, the dignity of the person making it; & since Christ suffered as a Divine-human person the value of His suffering was infinite. The Scripture writers tell us plainly that the “Lord of glory” was crucified, I Cor. 2:8; that wicked men “killed the Prince of life,” Acts 3:15; & that God “purchased” the Church “with His own blood,” Acts 20:28. The atonement, therefore, was infinitely meritorious & might have saved every member of the human race, had that been God’s plan. It was limited only in the sense that it was intended for, & is applied to, particular persons; namely for those who
are actually saved.

Please explain the source material of your comment to me for it seems that you think I am of the strip of those who are offended by the doctrine of election and the Sovereignty of God. If you gleaned that from anything I have said then that is on you because I have said or done no such thing. My last comment was plain enough in describing a 'gospel' without election and was in no way "placing the Triune God on trial." But you know this already, so please explain the cause of such a misleading comment on your behalf.
DD; I read over your comment that you were talking about, cat first when I read over again your post, I thought you were blasting on those who hold too Reformed teaching of election, in how the fall has affected the human race, in ones will being affected by the fall, etc. I thought you were saying, that if one holds to Christ Atonement, secured the salvation of many, Rev 5:9, through His Sovereign Election. That would give others a reason to blast on God, in being a Moral Monster & unfair.

& if you weren’t saying that then, then I apologize for the confusion directed your way.

Thank You O’ Lord in giving to me hope, for what a loving Savior You are. What a Friend, one has with You. In being bought & purchased by your amazing grace, through the shedding of Your Precious Holy blood. Through Your perfect Ransom, thank You, O’ Lord!

As He never tells us he sent His son to die for every man every where, for since every man isn’t & willn’t be saved that would imply Christ paid their ransom price but in vain! John Owen put it so well "Did Christ die for all of the sins of all men- Did He die for all of the sins of some men- Or did he die for some of the sins of all men?"

As He then comments "If the last be true then all men have some sins to answer for & no man can be saved. If the first be true then why are all men n’t saved & freed from the grip & punishment of sin? You answer "because of unbelief. I ask is this unbelief n’t a sin? If it be a sin then why must that hinder a man more than any other sin for which Christ died? We are therefore shut up to the second conclusion which is the proposition we lay down as truth. (Christ died for all of the sins of some men)

Praise the Lord for the power & the glory of His gospel that changes & transform lives, to be n’t ashamed of Him or of His Word amen!

DD; With love & due respect towards, how can fine creature who is fallen bring a charge against a infinite Holy & Good God. As the lost or one who is spiritually adopted into the house hold of the redeemed, can’ bring a true charge against Him. As their is no reasoning, or ethics, morality, logic, etc, outside of the Truine God. As He is Objective & n’t, subjective too fallen human kind thoughts & reasoning of what is right from wrong. In placing the Triune God on trial, as a Moral Monster. As I say in a spirit of gentleness towards you. Whatever is right for God to do, it’s right for him to decree. If God’s casting sinners into hell isn’t wrong or unjust, then His purposing to do so from all eternity can’t be wrong or unjust. So you must either deny that there is a hell or admit God’s right to leave sinners to themselves to go to their own place to dwell there forever.

Pro 16:4 The LORD has made all things for Himself, yes, even the wicked for the day of doom

Our first duty is to believe, but there is nothing in the Bible which we need to shrink from believing. “For an empty-headed man will be wise, when a wild donkey’s colt is born a man” (Job 11:12

God made man & every man & every thing, to glorify God. Is it unjust of God if He saves many & n’ any?

Election isn’t of man. Some say, “God votes, the devil votes, & man votes.” The Bible teaches that election isn’t of the devil or of man but “of God Alone! (1 Thess. 1:4; John 10:16; 1 John 4:10,19).

Jhn 5:40, “But you aren’t willing to come to Me that you may have life.” In this little verse our Lord is telling us our fundamental & necessary things: Every man is spiritually dead & dead men need life (“come to Me that you may have life”).

There is life in Jesus Christ only for those who come for it (one must “come”). No one by nature ever will come (“you are not wiiling to come”). This verse lays the groundwork for the blessed doctrine of unconditional election. It expresses the biblical view of the fallen will: “You aren’t willing to come to Me.” Left to himself no one will come to Christ ever.

“What is the use of arguing about whosoever will when we live in a world of whosoever will nots. The universal condition of the will nots” makes the doctrine of unconditional election necessary if any one is to be saved.

1 Cor 12:3 Therefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed, and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, except by the Holy Ghost.

O’ how I am ever so grateful, & thankful in experiencing how wonderful God’s life changing grace truly is. How He first loved me, & sought me out first.bTakes away the mental gymnastics away, in letting Him be no King but Christ Alone. O’ how His marvelous His grace is, as it rightly so humbles, ones & teaches one. Who the Creator is & who is the creature is! O’ how gracious & loving He is, that He would save many & n’t any at all. Hallelujah what a Savior He is amen.

Mat 11:27 “All things are delivered unto Me by My Father, & no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, & he to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him.
Goes right back to what fallen mankind will’nt & can’t do, apart from sovereignty God, being bestowed upon one. Through His amazing life changing grace amen!; Jhn 6:37, 6:44

If it weren’t for election, ones fallen will would take one to hell; Eph
2:1:3, Rom 3:10-12, Ecc 7:20, etc. You can only get rid of election by getting rid of the Bible. As the atonement isn’t designed to render men inexcusable, but rather it’s designed to save some of those who stand before God with any excuses.

A good read here; http://www.reformedreader.org/suforall.htm

If ones spiritual adoption isn’t All of His Grace Alone, then one has something to boast of & in then. As the teaching of Jhn 1:12-13, says other wise. As God isn’t under any obligation to save any one ever, as salvation is to glorify Himself, n’t to glorify the 1 ST Adam, but the 2 Nd Adam Alone. As Christ isn’t a potential Savior, waiting for sinners in the loins of the 1 St Adam, too let Him into their heart & accept Christ. I need to Christ to accept me, I need Christ to make me able to come to Him, as He did for Lazarus in the Tomb. As Lazarus didn’t come kicking & screaming to Christ, no I don’t want to be one of the elect. O’ how marvelous His electing love is, that He saves many & n’t any, Mat 1:21!

Grace is a provision for men who are so fallen they can’t lift the axe of justice; who are so corrupt they can’t change their own natures; so adverse to God that they can’t turn to Him of their own strength; so blind they can’t see Him, so deaf they can’t hear Him, & so dead that
He Himself must open their graves." -G.S. Bishop

Titus 3:5 He saved us not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration, & by the renewing of the Holy Ghost

Let me put this as kindly as I can. You would have a point if anyone in the history of the reformed church ever understood limited atonement to mean that Christ's atonement was of limited value. Sadly for you the term 'limited' always refers to the application, not the worth, and the concept is therefore exactly that of particular redemption.
But, as I asked before, of what practical value is it to know that Christ's atonement is of infinite value, if the trinity has determined that it will only be efficacious for the elect?
You make it sound like your theology turns on this fact, but I cannot see you ever explaining exactly why. It still doesn't enable you to say to any particular sinner "Christ died for you" or even your cherished "God loves you". So what's the point of knowing of the infinite value of the atonement?
Darren Thomas; Is God under any obligations or conditions, that He has to save any one? His glorious sovereignty makes people weep, when they reflect on, what rebels & tyrants, they were apart, from Christ remind their spiritual heart of stone away! As His saving grace
is truly a gift, of utter amazing, love. That He would save many & n’t
any. For who is truly deserving to be reconciled too Him?

As many who hold too the Doctrines of Grace, who aren’t ashamed of the gospel, who know, that their is no true seeker outside of the Eternal Godhead, seeking after one first. As their is none who are righteous apart from the imputed righteousness of Christ Alone.

O’ glorious it’s to proclaim no King but Christ Alone amen!

Spurgeon; If sinners will be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our bodies. & if they will perish, let them perish with our arms around their knees, imploring them to stay. If hell must be filled, at least let it be filled with the teeth of our exertions, & let not one go there unwarned and unprayed for.

Spurgeon; To be laughter at is no great hardship to me. I can delight in scoffs and jeers Caricatures, lampoons, and slanders are my glory. But that you should turn from your own mercy, that is my sorrow. Spit on me, but, oh, repent! Laugh at me, but, oh, believe in my Master! Make my body as the dirt of the streets, but dam n’t your own souls!

Darren Thomas, I appreciate the kind words reflected my way, but to say that Doctrines of Grace people aren’t trusting in the Lord, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, speaking truth & life to one. Isn’t a accurate statement that any informed, person who is a Christian, who holds to the Doctrines of Grace. As the Bible clearly teaches one to be a doer & a hearer too!

From a great Soul Winner, Spurgeon, Whom I have learned a lot from. In the privilege I have had in being able to do, street preaching ministry, over the years now. What hope Christ gives to His people, His sheep, to know that the essence of salvation is from the Lord alone. What joy & reassurance, that brings too my soul, hallelujah amen!

Spurgeon; Unless the Holy Ghost blesses the Word, we who preach the gospel are of all men most miserable, for we have attempted a task that is impossible. We have entered on a sphere where nothing but the supernatural will ever avail. If the Holy Spirit doesn’t renew the hearts of our hearers, we cannot do it. If the Holy Ghost doesn’t regenerate them, we cannot. If He doesn’t send the truth home into their souls, we might as well speak into the ear of a corpse.

Spurgeon; Winners of souls must first be weepers for souls.

Spurgeon; If then, you will be damned, let me

I rejoice in knowing today, that I have Hope today because of Christ, grace is greater than my stains of sins amen!

Randy Smith; Therefore, since salvation is a work of the Lord, I can draw these simple conclusions: First, I must share the Gospel with passion. Yet when it comes to conversion I need to leave the matter in God’s hands because that is a work that only He can accomplish.

Second, my responsibility is not to save people, but rather my responsibility is to faithfully share the “good news.” Therefore, I don’t need to resort to gimmicks or manipulation, but rather prayer and trust in God’s sovereignty. It is not the skill of the proclaimer, the packaging of the message or the techniques used to proclaim it, but the unadulterated Word and trust in the Holy Spirit. We need clarity, not cleverness. Third, once I share the faith, I can be at peace regarding the eternal outcome of souls and am I thankful for that!

What is absolutely beautiful & brings peace to ones soul, that God is absolutely in control, making one to rejoice in. That He would save many & n’t any amen.

Sam Storm; Here’s the rub: We simply don’t like the idea that the reason for God’s choices resides wholly within God. We want to account for His decision. We want to explain it, to rationalize it, to provide grounds & warrant for it. We want to be able to point to “factor A, or datum B, or issue C” in something other than God or preferably to “characteristic X, or virtue Y, or work Z” in us. We want to point to this quality or that personality trait or some accomplishment in one that isn’t in another as the grounds for God’s decision.

Absolute humbeling when one reflects on, the only thing I am truly deserving of in this day alone. Is to be under the Righteous justice of Gods, justified anger against me. As I fall short of His Absolute mark of utter perfection & utter Holiness amen.

O’ what a Savior He is, what a utter privilege it’s to be spiritually adopted as Son of the Most High. May Christ bring salvation to our own & many that are praying for love ones & friends to be reconciled too Christ Alone!

Matthew Henry; None can know their election but by their conformity to Christ; for all who are chosen are chosen to sanctification.

Praise Him!, For He Alone is Worthy Alone! Spurgeon; It is a good thing God chose me before I was born, because he surely would not have afterwards.

Hallelujah; Spurgeon; O you redeemed ones you who have been bought by the precious blood of this steadfast, resolute Redeemer—come and think awhile of Him, that your hearts may burn within you and that your faces may be set like flints to live and die for Him who lived and died for you!”

Ladybug, you are welcome, I am what I am, only by the mere mercies Christ had on this once blinded sinner, who was spiritually dead in my trespasses & sin. O’ what a mighty Savior He is & what a faithful Friend He is, too His people. Hallelujah!, amen!

Spurgeon; What is doctrine after all but the throne whereon Christ sitteth, & when the throne is vacant what is the throne to us? Doctrines are the shovel & tongs of the altar, while Christ is the sacrifice smoking thereon. Doctrines are Christ’s garments; verily they smell of myrrh, & cassia, & aloes out of the ivory palaces, whereby they make us glad, but it’s n’t the garments we care for as much as the person, the very person of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Salvation being of the Lord alone through His Grace Alone, stops mankind in any boasting of, I did this or that in coming to Christ. For how hopeless one is, apart from Christ, as He will never see foreseen faith, as He looks down the Corridor of Time.

Spurgeon; We are often told that we limit the atonement of Christ, because we say that Christ hasn’t made satisfaction for all men, or all men would be saved. Now, our reply to this is, that, on the other hand, our opponents limit it: we don’t . The Arminians say, Christ died for all men. Ask them what they mean by it. Did Christ die so as to secure the salvation of all men? They say, “No, certainly not.” We ask them the next question: Did Christ die so as to secure the salvation of any man in particular? They answer “No.” They are obliged to admit this, if they are consistent. They say, “No. Christ has died that any man may be saved if” & if then follow certain conditions of salvation. Now, who is it that limits the death of Christ? Why, you. You say that Christ didn’t die so as infallibly to secure the salvation of anybody. We beg your pardon, when you say we limit Christ’s death; we say, “No, my dear sir, it’s you that do it.” We say Christ so died that he infallibly secured the salvation of a multitude that no man can number

Spurgeon; I would rather believe a limited atonement that is efficacious for all men for whom it was intended, than a universal atonement that is not efficacious for anybody, except the will of men be added to it.

Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a Son, & thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.”

Jhn 10:26-28 But ye believe not, because ye are not of My sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear My voice, & I know them & they follow Me. & I give unto them eternal life, & they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.
