“ Great Sermon! ”
I'm not really sure about what is said in this sermon. I have found a great deal of amazing sermons of Mark Driscolls on youtube and have grown a lot learning from his style of preaching. Driscoll in my opinion does a very good job of interpretation and then tells us how it can be applied. I find most preachers just give us the Word, and never tell us how it can actually be applied or achieved. After watching a Driscoll sermon (Who Do You Think You Are sermon series is my favorite) I have zero questions about anything because he has covered the topic to thoroughly. He may have made mistakes, but scripture tells us "there is no one righteous, no not one." So maybe it might be in the best interests of some to "take the plank out of your own eye, then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brothers eye."

The "black genocide" angle is an erroneous approach but support against abortion is good.
The curious item in this article is that it reads "..."Blacks make up 35 percent of the abortions in America..."
It sounds like it's not the genocide of the "black" as much as it is the genocide of the "non-black" which would make for 65% of the abortions in America compared to the "black" 35%.
Where are all of the non-black protestors?
The majority of abortions are non-black. So...I guess there goes the latest hullabaloo over blacks being the greater victim.
Of course,it would be refreshing for any and all to come against abortion period.
SC,

do your research. Initially, Planned Parenthood set up their kiosks on predominantly "black" campuses. They aim was clear.

Unfortunately, the cry went unheeded by those who could do something about this atrocity. As a result the infection spread. It is the same with police brutality. If we continue to sit back and not cry out for truth and honest reporting, we'll just find evil more and more entertaining.
This is the stuff movies are made of. Just listen to the mockingbird.

Pray for our leaders. When a leader of any nation is converted, the citizens follow. Satan is not bound by voting. Pray for the conversion of our leaders as brought out in this message.

My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 3:11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
I have been in hopeful prayer for this man, Obama, that God will change his heart and bring him into the knowledge Christ - as I pray. I am looking for God to move.

He might be redeemed any moment.

your comment makes no sense. Cody didn't make a judgmental statement. The people doing the protesting are Christians not unredeemed Kenyans.
Obama is of his father the devil and the lust of his father he will do. Praying for those in authority does not mean we condone or do not condemn their actions. Maybe you should concentrate on John the Baptist and the ruler Herod.
Read your New Testament again, there is much judgment mentioned of groups and individuals from the Lord Jesus and throughout the epistles. Read your Old Testament and see how prophets spoke against kings and their actions.
Judging? Simply put - Where is it written what the intentions of Obama are?

Only God knows Obama's heart, and only God can turn it wheresoever He wills.

Pray for those in authority so that there will be rejoicing in the streets. Pray. Pray with expectations that God will answer the prayer of one whose heart is fully set upon Him and His will.

The Confederate flag is still over the hearts of all racists; mostly in the church. I am sure God has a controversy with those who think they are not like other men, those who judge by outward appearances, and those who are not yoked equally with those of whom God made one; without distinction.

Enough said! I'm not going through Jericho and I'll get rid of my beast of burden before I let the broken, rejected, poor, neglected, ostracized, wounded, and bound (unlike myself) ride it to an inn. There will be no tab to pay. There will be no cake to eat.

John UK, you have been a big help for me on here and you have made me stop and think about my words I post on here. I see it as the Holy Spirit speaking to me through you and others also, like what happened yesterday. Before I even saw a picture I was so led to do the same and reseached it also. One of the questions I was asked by them is why I chose to do this and one of the chioces that I checked was led by God. I can't explain it but the joy I felt at the decision was very real. We have charities in our church that give to the poor here in our section of the world and give to them also.
Mike and Christropher thanks for your help in this also. The scripture came to my mind as I read some of the comments;Matt.10:42"And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward". The vs40-42 should be read also. I don't have time as I volunteer for church library on Fridays. Someone else feel free to post, do so.
Is this scriptural? Can this be supported by the Word of truth?

Christ came not to condemn. So who then is Graham to condemn?

Did Christ smite his own; his unfaithful Bride?

Pray for those in authority.

Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand (Rom 14:4); God alone is omniscient.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God (1 Cor 2:11);
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty (1 Tim 2:1,2)

Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?

Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin (Jn 19:10,11)

Obama is a servant to the Most High God, as we all are. God works all things according to His plan and not another.

Pray for a open door to the entrance of the Gospel into the hearts of both Obama and unredeemed Kenyans to the glory of God.

What he needs is to feel ashamed. I would not even allow my child to go into a public restroom anymore. They will either go before or after we leave any restaurant or public event. It is hard to pray seriously thinking of how foolish and comical this is. I understand that it is there choice as to which public restroom they want to use. Will they have a choice of which jail cell they'll be "bar"red from? Yes, let the days be shortened for evil doers; from the presidency down to the blatantly rebellious. And Lord, keep us, your redeemed, from the evil one.

The truth of the matter is that though we don't use icons to mediate between God and ourselves, Jesus is not exalted in an honorable manner in worship services. Beholding him as in a mirror, we are changed into his image. So then, why don't we look like the representatives of Christ? It is because the world has its icons in entertainment, etc. and we strive to look and behave like the entertainer. A picture is worth a thousand words. Cosmetic industries are more effective than we realize - causing us to strive for bigger fig leaves.

There is no other way to put it. Many rationalize by saying "Oh, I don't hate ... but I prefer." Or, "One of my best friends is ..." They love themselves; not God and those created in His image.

Are we prepared to speak the truth in love to those among them, those who might be lost? Are we prepared to tell them of the hope that lies within our hearts? Or, will we, Christians, simply have a secular worldview of them.
Our sovereign God has led them here for us to love and give our lives as servants for the sake of the Gospel. God gave them to us whether for good or evil BUT for His eternal purpose and glory. We are gifts to them.

Carl, with the load you are up against, you might consider a good, qualified Christian therapist who can help you to sort things out and deal with them in ways you probably hadn't even considered. A Christian, a born again Christian therapist will approach situations from a biblical perspectice as well and that 3rd party may be just what you need. Just getting someone to listen intently and genuinly care with a Godly concern all by itself would lighten the mental load. I'm not a fan of meds, but often they are beneficial short term, and taken when needed, like to take the edge off anxiety, etc until one learns how to deal with the specific situations at hand.

Oh how your post concerning your cousin tore at my heart.
I too suffered at the hands of ungodly males in my family.
But...God in His Love, Grace, and Mercy healed my broken spirit.
He also gave me a godly husband who has been most supportive.
When I read the Duggar article, all those memories came flooding back.
I too pray for the victims....the scars are deep!
Please No Name,

couldn't you have come up with another moniker, or something more remote. I have used the moniker "No Name" in the past and your use of it causes confusion.

pennnelope,

You are absolutely correct. I experienced this when I went to adopt a child. My heart sunk.
We who have the wisdom of God and the power of God by the indwelling Spirit of the Lord must reach as many parents with the Gospel as possible. We must pray without ceasing.

Some things are just too grievous to talk about. This is one of them.

"Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Who is being polled that so many are being fooled?

Kinsey fooled an entire generation of dummies. Perhaps we need to challenge these people taking polls. Call them on the carpet. They are lying through their teeth and forming questions is such a way that no matter how it is answered it gives the group taken the survey the option view it in their favor.
Who are these people with the questions and where are the groups with the answers?
