Since when is the Holy Spirit prompting one to embrace Jesus as ones Savior a work of ones self and not a work of God?
You will never understand the issue with your Romanized brain. God needs to do a work in you to humble your stupid pride. Until then you are still dead in your sins.

Yes indeed, there are 401 sermons by Leonard Ravenhill on SA.
And I shall try to listen to all of them, although I find it difficult to listen to audio sermons. Thanks for reminding me! I am now able to download sermons at last due to a better internet connection, and it is proving most wonderful. Praise God!!
Have you ever read his book "Why Revival Tarries"?

Brother Saint Michael, New York,
Yes it is indeed an encouragement to me, and I wish you well as you seek the Lord together. What joy!
I am digging around for more videos or sermons by Leonard Ravenhill. I always thought he was an American, having heard him back in the 80's on Trans World Radio Monte Carlo, but it turns out he is English, who moved to America in the 50's and went to his eternal rest in 1994, buried in Texas.
Thus far, I have The Revival Hymn, and Facts of Revival, and am experiencing somewhat of a shakeup. The chief purpose of a man on earth is to bring glory to God through his life, and that can only happened if the man is fully crucified, dead, buried, resurrected with Christ, and fully committed to loving, serving, worshipping and obeying the Lord, that the Lord may have the glory through him.
Why dig around? He's got lots of sermons on SA.

Baptist teaching states that the Holy Spirit prompts individuals to embrace Jesus as their Savior. And that is not a work of ones self but is a work of God.
Fail. Wrong again!

You'll never get it.

I see. Sympathy for a fellow troll brings your hatred to the surface and makes you dis all soldiers? Well why didn't you say so in the first place. That makes it all better.

Of course not all Catholics are Christians. But there are some Catholics who are Christians by reason of having embraced Jesus as their Personal Savior by asking Jesus to become their Savior and trusting in Him alone for salvation.
Becoming a Christian is not something you do, it's something God does. If you can't even get that right, what hope do you have?

Murder? Murder of innocents during war? What planet are you from?! Your disrespect for soldiers who secure our liberties is truly awful. Shame on you!

Do you crave evil so deeply, you cant recognize Catholics are Christian? Are you so blinded as your false prophets are?
You have nil spiritual discernment because you're not born again. Many have probably already told you this, but I guess not having ears to hear or eyes to see, and a heart full of hatred for the true gospel it's impossible for you to repent or believe. One has to wonder whether someone as persistently opposed to the true gospel as you has committed the sin against the Holy Ghost.

Matt 12:30, 31
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Just an observation: I understand what "all things whatsoever I have commanded you" means. And since the Republican Party official platform is against abortion and homosexuality then the Republican Party is doing what God commands by being against abortion and homosexuality. What makes you believe I have a personalized religion? I don't have my own religion as I am Catholic.
[snip]
So you think that abortion and homosexuality is "all things whatsoever I have commanded you"?

As I said your Romanized brain just can't cope with the whole truth. And yes, you've demonstrated on here ad infinitum that yours is a highly personalised religion where you pick and choose the stuff that's agreeable to you and completely disregard the stuff you don't like e.g. separation from error and the false church. You're just an unthinking, blind, ignorant Romanist.

Yoder's question was on the order of how many people did Jim kill while in the military. Disgusting. I have no time for thankless parasites like Yoder who take advantage of all the rights and freedom this country offers yet despise the patriots and military which serves to preserve those rights and freedom.
If you don't like the fact that freedom isn't free.... get out of my country.
My profuse apologies. I forgot to say - We salute you Sir for your service to our country. Very proud of every person who has served to protect our freedoms. God bless you all!

Yoder, disgruntled that that post had been removed, referred to his copyright in that post. A person not so long ago made the same protestation before he either stopped posting or was banned viz. Dopey. I have my suspicion that he is Dopey. It's the sort of stupid comment he would make.

Then the official Republican Party platform is not against abortion and homosexuality? I have a wrong view of religion? I accept that salvation comes only through trusting in Jesus alone for salvation. Since when is that a wrong view of religion when that doctrine comes directly from the Bible?
What part of the verse I quoted did you not understand? Was it the "all things whatsoever I have commanded you"? The truth is that your Romanized brain cannot cope with truth in all its parts. You like to pick and choose whatever is convenient to your highly personalised religion.

Something you don't like and so you pick and choose what makes something for Jesus. You're wrong in your view of religion and politics.

I do so trust in Jesus alone for salvation(Which is what the Gospel is). I sure don't trust in Baptism, the Sacraments and church attendance for salvation. If I only participate in the scriptural parts to the Mass then I am not sinning.
If I'd said to my little boy who was stuck up a tree, jump! If he trusted me, he'd jump.

Same with the Lord Jesus, if you trust him, jump from where you are, because you're up a tree whether you recognize it or not. There is a duty on the part of all who love the Lord to separate from evil and false doctrine. The separation has to be total, not just in your mind!

There are more poorly taught Presbys than there are Baptists. Imagine claiming to know the Bible and yet believing some cuckoo covenant with Abraham being the bond between the 2 Testaments! How ignorant!
