Tebow is a far cry from standing on the street corner. That verse does not restrict us from praying in public. Do you not say grace with your family before eating a meal in a restraunt?

why not tackle the issue of claiming the blessings of Israel,but dumping the curses onto the Jews?
So the Amills tell us National Israel no longer has a future in the plan of God. All the promises given to Israel are forfeited and are now transferred to the church, the church is now the true Israel. The Jews have inherited all the curses of the law found in Deuteronomy chapters 28-33. They believe that ALL the blessings to Israel are now transferred to the church. What they neglect is the curses are included in Deuteronomy 28. If you are going to claim the blessing of Deuteronomy 28 you cannot exclude the curses.
Another test for literal interpretation is the river which is described in Ezekiel 47 and in other places in the Old Testament. This river will originate from the house of the LORD (compare Joel 3:18) as a very shallow stream.It eventually travels east until it empties into the Dead Sea which will then be a terrible misnomer because the waters of the Dead Sea will be turned into fresh water teeming with fish (see Ezekiel 47:1-10). In Zechariah 14:8 we learn that half of the river which will empty into the Dead Sea and half of the river will empty into the Mediterranean Sea. This river is also mentioned in Psalm 46:4 The descriptions of this river are as literal as literal can be. There are clear geographical references made in connection with this river (Ezek. 47:8-10). There are exact distances and depths measured out (Ezek. 47:3-5). The details concerning this river are very descriptive and specific. It flows into the sea (the Dead Sea) and the waters, which once were the saltiest on earth, become fresh. There will be many varieties of fish in this same body of water where fish formerly could never live.
