Tony, your post says, "God promised to preserve America only if it turned from its evil". Can you show me from scripture where God specifically promised to preserve America? The only SPECIFIC promises of preservation were to the nation of Israel. Any other promise is a general promise that is to all nations, "righteousness exalts a nation". Your thinking shows again how so many people see America as "God's chosen people", when in reality, we are not!
The simple fact of the matter is, folks, that if we were still living under the old covenant, David Wilkerson would have been killed as a false prophet! He has given prophecies that have not come to pass, therefore, according to God's Word, he is a false prophet. Just because we are now in the age of grace does not mean that God has changed His attitude toward those who speak falsely in His name! The man is a false prophet, he should be treated as one who is dead to the church since we cannot literally carry out the OT punishment!
Actually, to baptize in the name of the Trinity is not traditional but biblical. Read the Great Commission of Matthew 28 and you will notice that it says to, "baptize them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost:. Pretty clear words spoken by Jesus Himself, don't you think?
enough already, Thank you for your encouragement. I have for to long seen the tolerance given to those who speak lies. Jesus left no room for it in His ministry or in His Word and neither should we. To often we cater to these liars in the hopes of leading them to Christ. Unfortunately, some are led astray by their lies while we play the games with them. We must stand for truth, and it is thr truth that will set people free. Sadly, there are those who would rather believe a lie.
According to the Bible, false teaching is not to be tolerated, especially when it comes to the message of the gospel. The church does not save, Jesus does. According to Paul, anyone who teaches another gospel is condemned to the fire of hell in the strongest terms.
