No. And it is a dangerous doctrine to state otherwise ... I have been wrestling with just this question in the past year, and realize that many of those who hold to "entire sanctification" tend to underestimate sin. They seem to either limit it to "known sin" or ignore the biblical evidence that sin is not just what we do, but it is how we think and feel and even exist. I wonder if those who hold this really continue to read and reflect on Jesus teachings about the heart ...
For me, since I tend to be highly introspective, such teaching was especially harmful and led me to unconsciously slip into basing my relationship with God on my obedience - and I could never live up to the standards before me in the OT, let alone the New Testament. I pray that God exposes this lie for what it is ... and it smells like smoke.

I think the Wesleys did some good things, but if I understand what they taught on this subject, well, let's just say I could not recommend their writings to an undiscerning reader.

I know we often dismiss the OT law quickly, but it is interesting to me that one could become "unclean" by performing normal bodily functions. Aside from the sanitary benefits, I see that as a commentary on the human condition - even if you do nothing but exist, you become unclean

Yes, God is absolutely sovereign, and through His providential care, we have exactly what He wills for us to have. I believe in the inerrancy of the original autographs, of which we have none. So, while the issue of determining the original text is difficult, I do believe that we have all that is necessary for faith and life, and that the process of discovering what Scripture means by what it says, and what the original sources "said" brings about growth in the church's thinking. Look how rigidly some interpret the language in various places - how rigid would we be with an "original autograph," which we might be tempted to elevate to the point of "deification" of the document? There was a reason God hid Moses' body, and there is a reason he "hid" the original autographs. He is sovereign and good, and whatever He does is right and true. Thus, I can trust Him, even if there are some misunderstandings about exactly what His Word is talking about among men ...

I don't think this survey had enough answers to choose from. Where a child "should" go to school is probably more based on the individual than some would like to admit. There are children well-trained in the faith who could thrive (not just survive) in the most liberal, secular school. Not every kid, but some. Besides, if a child "loses" his faith so easily at college, has there really been "the right training" at home to allow them to make the faith their own Control will not make Christians out of your kids ...
Christians are far too afraid of information. If we taught our kids how to think critically about issues, their faith would be so much stronger ... but alas, we think that by isolating them we will preserve the feeble faith we have "passed on" to them. I truly feel pity for parents who fear an honest search for truth. If it is honest, Christ is there, for He is Truth. We all need to do a better job of explaining and living the Scriptures before our kids instead of preaching at them ... is it any wonder that parents who preach are often the ones most afraid of their kids rejecting the faith?
I pray that God preserves true faith in my children - but I also want to employ His methods for imparting wisdom while they are with me. Honest answers to honest ques
