“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent! To the point, biblical and compassionate. We need more sound preaching like this.

“ Great Sermon! ”
God bless this brother for his courage and honesty. As a former homosexual myself I thank the Lord for testimonies like this. There is hope for the vilest of sinners and there is no sin that cannot be washed away by the precious blood of Christ.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thank you so much for this encouraging and compassionate message. I have struggled with homosexual desires for almost my entire life of 37 years and even many years after my conversion to Christ I could not bring myself to totally give up these unholy thoughts and desires and way of thinking. Finally about three years ago I became so emotionally ill and depressed and psychotic that I realized I had to give up my homosexual 'fantasies' completely or go insane. But I suffer greatly both emotionally and even physically from my long involvement that I sometimes wonder if God can forgive me for all the terrible things I have done. I really needed to hear a message of hope like this one at this time in my life. You are right on. My rebellion against God's perfect will has almost destroyed myself.

Amen Bob

I am one of those people having been saved by the grace of God out of homosexuality. But I still struggle and have to fight temptation with Christ's help. You are right, these false "christians" bring a message of utter hopelessness to those who are perishing in the abyss of the homosexual lifestyle. Most shocking to me was not the article itself though but the horrendous anti-Christian comments of some of the readers. The most hateful and intolerant people in the world are probably the gay activists. I know because I once used to be on their side.

Thank you Sophie, Paul Derek and lyn, usa for your helpful replies to my comments. I apologize for any harshness in my arguments, but naturally having to struggle with this sinful pattern of thought and behaviour I get very emotional talking about it. May God bless you all. I do believe that God can deliver a person completely from homosexuality and all that goes with it, but it may not happen overnight.

Sorry Nigel Tompsett for getting off track but I just couldn't resist to reply to some other comments already posted.

Lyn from the US

I do agree that homosexuality is sinful, yet that does not contradict the fact, that it is a very addictive behaviour which is very difficult to overcome. I strongly believe that male homosexuality is much harder to overcome than lesbianism. They are NOT the same. ALL references in scripture to homosexuality apart from Romans 1 refer EXCLUSIVELY to MALE homosexuality. Only MALE homosexuality was punishable by death in the Old Testament. This seems to me to be a clear indication that male homosexuality is much more dangerous, powerful and destructive than lesbiansim. Sociology also testifies to this. There is much more promiscuity among male homosexuals, more change of partners, more frequent and more violent sexual practice etc. than among lesbians. Male homosexuals have higher suicide rates and lesser life expectancy than lesbians as well. So I think it is VERY clear that both biblically and sociologically sodomy and lesbianism are not to be compared, they are very different in their intensity and their grip on a persons life. Just the mere fact that there are so many more male homosexuals than lesbians in the world shows that these sins are not the same.

I clearly understand that homosexuality is a terrible sin and that a Christian has to repent of this sin. Yet many people especially on this website talk as if breaking away from that sin was an easy thing, which it is not. As a female you have never experienced the power and violence of male sexuality and are not really qualified to teach me on this matter. Every man who has ever been under bondage of homosexuality knows (if they are honest with themselves) how terribly addictive this sinful behaviour is even if they have repented of it a thousand times before. Only a miracle of Divine intervention and ongoing support from a local church can in my opinion help people break free. By the way it is deplorable how few testimonies there are on this sight from former homosexuals. Could it be that many "fundamentalist" churches are afraid to admit that they have been unable or even unwilling to help homosexuals break free from their bondage? Just suppressing the emotions won't do it. I have tried that for many years. The only way out is a lifestyle of daily and continual repentance, but then that goes for every true believer not just the homosexuals.

It sure is great to see the support for our friend as he opposes gay lifestyle, etc. What I would like to see here in our open forum is the fact that many, I believe, amongst our brothers, struggle with this "sin" "problem". I really believe that many Christian men struggle with this problem but don't dare to come out and admit it. Am I right or wrong?
I think you are right Freddie. I have been a bitter hateful homosexual "Christian" for many years until God by His grace made me see the enormity of my sin. Yet though I have broken all outward links to the homosexual subculture I still have to fight hard not to fall back into this terribly addictive and destructive behaviour. I thank God for a true and godly pastor who is supporting me and helping me to fight these powerful temptations and to remain faithful to Christ and His word. Thank you for this honest comment. There may very well be many more Christians out there who are consumed with this problem and do not have anyone to help them along in their struggles. Denying the problem will definitely not resolve it. "Christ came into the world to save SINNERS..."

Thank you John UK. God's grace and peace to all the Welsh brethren as well! Isn't it wonderful that the growing enmity of the world towards us is only drawing the true believers in Christ closer together and above all closer to our precious Lord. It is so good to know that we are not alone in these dark times. God has His seven thousand chosen ones who have not bowed their knees to baal, and He has chosen them from every tongue and nation under heaven.

Many blessings to you for this new year!

Yes I agree it can well do. But a short testimony here: When I sought to get back to work after lengthy illness, becoming self-employed for the first time, I was greatly helped by guv agencies who had financial assistance from Europe, being given free business studies, free literature, and access to the tutors via phone or e-mail, plus free courses on how to fill in tax returns, and financial support. Sure, I nearly got in a big furore when, during one business study, I expressed myself concerning unethical practices in business, and that I would not be going the world's way just to make money. The tutor was wise enough not to argue. Maybe he got a little convicted of his sins. A Christian is an embarrassment to the world, because we stand up for values like truth and honesty and fairness.
I don't see a problem in your taking advantage of the social system in this manner as long as you do not have to deny your Christian principles. I see a huge problem though with churches seeking the worlds accreditation in order to gain financial support. Nevertheless it may soon come to the point where ALL support from the governement will only be accessible to those who throw all Christian morality and convictions over board.

Lovely post!
However, not all the money in the coffers of the ungodly government is dirty money. Some of it came from taxes paid in by Christians. Does that make it clean money?
I believe that as Christians we are to give unto governement what is due to governement, that is paying taxes. Yet I believe that we should not accept the world's money or any other support from unbelievers since this will in most cases lead to shameful compromise.

Let the dirty money of the ungodly perish with them! I am sick of Christians being in the defensive and always trying to make deals with the world. The early Church did not take the money of the heathen, why should we? They trusted in the God that owns the cattle on a thousand hills, why should not we? By the way there is no retirement from Christian service. We serve Christ to our last breath or we do not serve Him at all.

Praise God for a remnant who dares to speak out against sin. Though I was a little shaken about certain things that recently happened in the Free Presbyterian Church I am very happy to hear that Pastor Paisley is still willing to go to jail rather than to give in to ungodly pressure. May God give all of us the strength and courage to confess Christ and His Words even under the intimidation and violent onslaught of the homosexual movement and its allies.

Faithful Remnant wrote:
If these conservatives are following their convictions and confession (which upholds Christ, Scripture and Faith Alone), then they have sufficiently given up the doctrines of apostacy, even if they aren't following perfectly another man's interpretation of the Bible(i.e. the Pope's version of it or Mr. Rugh's version, Spurgeon's, etc..etc.), because if this conformity to another person's version is demanded, then man's thoughts are again superior to the Scriptures alone for each congregation or individual and we don't need to go there again. They have been freed from one pope and don't need another, whether in Rome or elsewhere.
Very well said Faithful Remnant. I am sick of people being put on a pedestal and placed in a position of authority that belongs to God and God ALONE. Even spiritual giants like Luther, Spurgeon or others were fallible human beings saved by Grace Alone and were not above reproach. CHRIST ALONE is the ONLY Head of the Church and His Word is the ONLY Authority in all matters of faith and practice.

Does cofec have churches in uk?
Yes John UK. The Church of England (Continuing) does have four congregations in England. They are St. Silas in Wolverhampton, St. Mary's in Reading, St. John's in South London and Holy Trinity in Frinton-on-Sea. As you can see this is a very small fellowship of churches, but then the Lord said that his followers would always be a little flock in this present evil world.

The address of the presiding bishop is:

Edward Malcolm
15 Bridge Street
Knighton
Powys
LD7 1BT
UK

God bless!

What are these people waiting for? There already is a 'Church of England (Continuing') www.cofec.org which is holding to the original Anglican confession, the original Book of Prayer, the original 39 Articles and who uses and honours the Authorized Version. In fact the CofEC might be the only Anglican denomination worthy of that name!!

As a former homosexual let me tell you that it was strong hard preaching against sin that made me ready to repent. And it is strong hard preaching against sin that still gets me going in the right direction. Now I used to be a VERY effeminate man but I'm afraid the most effeminate men are standing in pulpits these days. Let's be men and call sin 'sin' and hell 'hell'! For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound who shall prepare himself for the battle?!

Thank God I am not in an 'emergent church'. I would still be entangled in the homosexual lifestyle and even feel good about it. Just another sign of the last days. Please come soon, Lord Jesus!

You are right Faithful Remnant. They should not be called Anglicans, its an abuse of the word. For true Anglicans visit www.cofec.org the website of The Church of England (Continuing). Please check out their audio sermons to hear some excellent and sound teaching from a Bible-Anglican perspective.

Watch out China. God is not going to put up with this kind of wickedness for too long. All the glory and splendour of the Olympic Games will not cover the blood of the innocents crying out to God for vengeance.
