The woman hasn’t encountered a particular situation in which she has been forced to design something contrary to her convictions...

Think someone needs to fix this headline.

If enough parents decide to withdraw their children from the school, I am sure the Mount Vernon School District policy would quickly change.

I have friends in the Republic of Ireland who are asked by many of the schools to take the RE classes, and as a result are able to present the gospel message to the children. While I am not entirely sure whether I would agree with religious education being compulsory, I think that having it removed from the curriculum could have a detrimental affect on future generations.

I wish someone could show me in the Bible where Jesus sanctioned same sex relationships.

Let's see. It wasn't in the Queen's speech, it wasn't in any party manifesto, nobody voted for it, the only public consultation was on how it would be introduced, and there was hardly any debate about it in the Houses of Parliament. So yes, I guess we will remember you, Mr. Cameron, just like we remember Mr. Blair for taking us into the Iraq war.

I work in a Christian bookshop in the UK, and STL were one of our major distributors. This is very bad news for Christian bookstores here, and unfortunately the article is right, Amazon is affecting our trade. We also get from Ingram and other suppliers as another commenter has pointed out, but this is just one in a long line of Christian suppliers who have gone bust over the past few years.

We sell on Amazon too, but it is very hard to compete with big stores who order in bulk and get massive discounts, and so can afford to sell books at ridiculous prices. People should support their local Christian bookstores wherever possible, because they are helping to maintain a Christian witness on the high street.

Mint is good. I'm on Xubuntu, which does the job for me. We have to use Windows 10 in work because a software package we have will only run on Windows, and the developers we get it from probably wouldn't let us use Wine with their support contract.

Very good Jim. Sometimes I despair when I look around and see the state my own country is in. Reading those articles makes me feel a little better. Sometimes we act like it's our job to "fix the world" and we end up getting frustrated when we don't get anywhere. It's our job to preach the gospel, but the rest is up to the Holy Spirit and to Christ.

Haha! Good point. I guess this proves veils are evil.

Let's not confuse head coverings, which are worn during an assembly gathering, to veils which cover the face and are completely unscriptural. Rebecca only covered herself with a veil when she met Isaac, her future husband, obviously she was uncovered before that.

That is just ridiculous. Christmas is an official national religious holiday. Or maybe we should all start calling it 'Winterval' or something stupid like that.
