Can anyone tell me What a Scholar is?. As far as I can see, A scholar is someone who thinks he can correct God's Word because knows what God is thinking. Isaiah 55:8-11 My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord; read the rest of Isaiah 55:9 through verse 11 and you will find out what God says about HIS WORD.I don't know if what I said will do any good, but I've been saved for 30 years and it's always the same thing scholars, I liken scholars or great scholars say. Well for my money, Yea hath God said were some of the first words of satan to mankind, So any bible scholar who corrects God's Word is of their father the devil and they can join him in the place prepared for the devil and his angels. I have read the comments to this article about a city forbidding people to have Bible studies, and I believe Mike from New York used Romans 13:1-2 as a proof text, saying that we are to obey the powers that be. Yes we are, BUT, What about the Book of Acts in Chapter 4, the powers that be forbade the disciples from spreading th and make e faith, but Peter and John said, "Whether it be right to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye". So, my point is you can't take only one portion of scripture and make it what you want it to say but, Isaiah 28:10,13 says it is to be precept upon precept line upon line. Also my personal belief is let's get back to the old King James, there are too many so called books called the Bible, and this I believe is where all the confusion comes from,on What the Bible teaches. Brother Jim or can I call you brother Jim, I am not sure what to call you. I hope I can call you Brother. I was gone this past weekend visiting family so I wasn't able to respond to your statement that KJVO people don't think, you are wrong on 2 accounts 1st, I believe that the King James is the WORD OF GOD for English speaking people, that is those who speak and understand English, but 2nd,I believe that the other language translations which are based on the Massoretic and the Textus Receptus Texts are also the true, inerrant, preserved Word of GOD. B.Jim,also you said that these KJVO'S don't think, jim I do think and I do read and I do study to shew myself approved unto GOD.
