Thanks you for that sermon and thank you for praying for us in Canada! I just listened to this and had never heard of the letter written by the pastors to our Tyrant. It was good to hear!

“ Great Sermon! ”
I’ve listened to this recording numerous times, as well as countless other sermons on Sermonaudio. Many have blessed me greatly, but I still say that this one is the most wonderful , soul-edifying, heartwarming , blessed hour of preaching/teaching I’ve heard.

Wayfarer pilgrim from Lubbock, Texas writes:
Has Great Britain ever offered the world anything but Marxism and evolution?

Yes, the Puritans, John Bunyan, Charles Spurgeon and a host of other saints and martyrs whose writings stand as a witness against the ungodliness of today!

Hm... I believe something similar to this was attempted centuries ago by this guy named Haman. Didn't turn out so great for him. Be patient and God will always vindicate His name.

1 Corinth 5:9-13

"I wrote to you in a letter not to associate with sexually immoral people. I did not mean the immoral people of this world or the greedy and swindlers or idolaters; otherwise you would have to leave the world. But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer who is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or verbally abusive, a drunkard or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person. For what business is it of mine to judge outsiders? Don’t you judge those who are inside? But God judges outsiders. Put away the evil person from among yourselves."

Not sure I completely agree with you JAG. When someone receives a human organ for transplant, their base DNA remains unchanged. This IVF procedure actually changes a piece of the mother's DNA so the unfertilized egg has DNA from two seperate women. It is not as simple as an organ transplant or blood transfusion - the procedure actually changes the egg's DNA base code. The more we study DNA, the more we find its scope and complexity far outdistance the theories geneticists have believed. This genetic splicing leaves a vast black hole of unknowns.

Hannah gave women the example to follow. It is God who opens and closes the womb and He knows the ache and longing of a woman who desires motherhood. I know those of us who have struggled or are struggling with infertility would do well to keep looking up and remember our Creator above what we can create.

They're the "Christians" who are pro-life! Unless the mother's life is in danger, the fetus has no chance of survival, or rape/incest were involved. Then you need access to abortion facilities because that fetus is obviously not made in God's image.

They're the "Christians" who proclaim the soveignty of God! And allow space in their lives for tolerance of other religions who's gods are "equally soveign".

They're the "Christians" who claim God's word is true and right! And hand the mic over to women pastors & homosexuals to give their story about the true, unfailable word of God.

They're the "Christians" who believe God should rule over their lives. And the government should be the vehicle to that; from healthcare to your paycheck to your family planning to you children's upbringing to your retirement - the government is the hand of God in our life.

Prov 9:1-5 "Wisdom has built her house; she has carved out her seven pillars. She has prepared her meat; she has mixed her wine;
she has also set her table.
She has sent out her female servants;
she calls out from the highest points of the city: 'Whoever is inexperienced, enter here!' To the one who lacks sense, she says,
'Come, eat my bread, and drink the wine I have mixed.'"

And that's Wisdom speaking. I'll add only that drinking is not a sin, being an alcoholic is. Eating is not a sin, but gluttony is. Speaking is not a sin, but lying is.

1 Corinth 10:30-31: "If I partake with thanks, why am I slandered because of something I give thanks for? Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God’s glory."

There is yet another nefarious side to these drugs: the danger posed to first responders. They respond to a call where an individual is unresponsive so they go through their procedure to determine a course of action. This powdered drug is on the person & they unknowingly (because it can't be seen on the persons clothes or skin) come in contact with it. Within a very short time, they are now in their own emergency. There have already been a number of deaths of EMT's & paramedics for this very scenario. It's completely changing the way first responders have to assess a patient & precious time for the patient is lost.

Sue, is there good fruit that can come from a bad tree? Is the sincere "I love you" of a practicing homosexual the same sincere "I love you" of a sinner saved by Christ? We all know "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul & mind; and love your neighbor as yourself". The homosexual says "See! This is validation that we can LOVE who we want because LOVE trumps all!" The Christian sinner, however, knows that true love, not man-made love, even if it is sincere, can come from anywhere other than the Author & Perfector of our faith, Jesus Christ. The sinner is capable of a type of love, but it is ultimatley in vain.

Psalm 1:1 "How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked or take the path of sinners or join a group of mockers!"

Jude 20-23 "But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the LOVE of God, expecting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life. Have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; have mercy on others but with fear, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh." That is a wonderful message of love, wouldn't you agree?

Sin is the problem & yes, it's universal and awful, not unlike universal healthcare. But I think glorifying and objectifying sin is much different than examining sin. Abortion, for example. It's a sin to murder and untying it from God's word to deal with it in some other way is exactly how the unregenerates deal with sin - blame game. So divorce isn't as much the problem as the heart of sin. The foundational need to love & fear God are just not there. You don't loose weight by hiding the forks. You don't stop the murder of the unborn by giving "free" healthcare options to women. Fear God & turn from sin. But to unbelievers it's impossible.
