On the other hand, we need to remember that, if this nation is ever to be turned back to God and godliness it won't be a politician that does it. It may be that, at some point in time, God willing, President Trump will realize that protecting religious liberty (specifically Christian liberty) and at the same time pampering to the LGBTQ movement are absolutely contrary agendas.
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;..."
1 Timothy 2:1-3
Perhaps we, as believers, are more at fault than our president. He may be blind, but we supposedly see... Pray for him. He has professed publicly that he now reads the Bible. May God help him to see its truth concerning this particular issue! And also that he might be converted.
In the meantime, we should also thank God that he has, in His kind providence, blessed us and given us a little more time to practice and promote our beliefs. And part of that kind providence was His working through and by our president. (see Proverbs 21:1)
Please watch the film just released called "By What Standard::
I just finished watching the film "By What Standard." Initially, not understanding the technical terms used, I thought "Whats the big deal?" But by the time I reached the middle of the film and I understood the implications I grew very concerned. And by the end I was very deeply troubled. Taking supposed social injustices and lumping them all together with actual injustices as if they were all the same and were all therefore legitimate is to deceive and manipulate the uninformed, whether intentional or not. See:

No wonder the president of the SBC was able to defend those of the LBGTQ movement without rebuke or any censure. Men and women's fallible and fluctuating feelings have and will now be allowed to determine and usurp infallible unchanging biblical authority in the convention as if feigned compassion were the final test of correct theology and genuine Christianity. No, it's the bible that is the sole determinator of that.
God has already claimed that prerogative for Himself.
Very encouraging! A lot of times, even as believers, we feel as if God has distanced Himself from us because of our current failures and many sins. We feel unclean and unworthy and we know from experience that we sin daily and even our best efforts come far short of what we think will please God.
Isaiah 59:1, 2 "Behold, the LORDâS hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."
The above is how we often feel, but the LORD is not speaking to believers here. See the verse below also:
Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins."
Note the "for mine own sake." I suggest that anyone who confesses and believes in Christ and yet feels like God won't hear their prayers listen to this sermon carefully. Don't believe the devil - we HAVE access to God already and at any time. Access to Him was purchased already by Jesus Christ.
I thank God that He put this message on brother Corey's heart to preach, and also that my wife and I were present when he did. We needed it...
Did they forget that Vice President Mike Pence is Roman Catholic? Or do they even care?
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 2 Corinthians 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
I am really honored that you would consider something that I wrote that long ago to be of value, even to the point of saving it on your laptop. I like-wise really appreciated your insights on the forums. I really miss the days when we could discuss various doctrinal issues on the SermonAudio forums. While I do still glance through the news article headings I seldom find time or interest in perusing the articles themselves or the comments made. I do often come across John UK and I am glad for that. It does bring back fond memories. I suppose if we were still allowed a forum for doctrinal debate, they couldn't keep us away from commenting. Perhaps they could do something for MEMBERS ONLY... That would narrow down the abuse.
Hope you are well and that God has prospered you! I am doing good. Still working at 67, and grandfather to seven grandsons - and one on the way, gender unknown. Will be retiring in another year and a half.
Please pardon my memory, but didn't you have a website of your artwork or photography?
My email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to chat offsite.
John UK wrote: Is that Alan Huber? I've missed your constructive posts bro, and still have on my laptop your instructions on the Lord's Day. Snake is right! I wouldn't trust anything coming from the leaders in NK. However, nothing shall be impossible for our God.
Yes! Just heading out the door. Will chat later. Thanks!
"This people has a revolting and a rebellious heart;" and no wonder when they were foolish and without understanding, Psalm 82:5. Nay, it is the corrupt bias of the will that bribes and besots the understanding: none so blind as those that will not see. The character of this people is the true character of all people by nature, till the grace of God has wrought a change. We are foolish, slow of understanding, and apt to mistake and forget; yet that is not the worst. We have a revolting and a rebellious heart, a carnal mind, that is enmity against God, and is not in subjection to his law, not only revolting from him by a rooted aversion to that which is good, but rebellious against him by a strong inclination to that which is evil. Observe, The revolting heart is a rebellious one: those that withdraw from their allegiance to God do not stop there, but by siding in with sin and Satan take up arms against him. They have revolted and gone. The revolting heart will produce a revolting life. They are gone, and they will go (so it may be read now nothing will be restrained from them, Gen. 11:6.

Recreational marijuana use is legal in our state (Washington), but an employee tested and found to be high on it can still be terminated. We have random drug tests, as well as testing for suspicion.
It does bring up an interesting dilemma. Are we soon going to have dope-heads protecting us on the front lines of battle? Does it seem like we are being prepared to lose - AGAIN? God is just; the wicked always self-destruct...
Firstly, if Jesus Christ were simply a good man, even the best of all men, this wouldn't be such s big deal, but He was and always will be God incarnate, Emmanuel, so how can anyone accurately portray Him. More than likely, all attempts to do so will be blasphemous if not heretical. And can we really expect them to follow the Biblical text, which does give the only perfect revelation of Him?
Secondly, many sinful men are always looking for ways to have what appears to be religiously Christian all the while containing elements of the world which are clearly carnal. Is not the appeal of this movie based upon the fact that it appears to be Christian, while satisfying the desire to be entertained by adding fictitious elements?
While Moses was up on the mount God told him of the peoples rebellion saying: "They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt."
Now, are not these so-called pastors of these churches suggesting to their congregations, "This is thy Savior, O Saints, which was crucified for thee?" This is plainly IDOLATRY! Rev. 22:18-19
Biblical??? Oh, you mean like the old movie "The Ten Commandments" was biblical? Right!
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Rev. 22:18-19
