I very rarely come to chat on here but Hmm after reading these posts I can see why.
It is also very interesting that such argumentative tripe is such a good reason to avoid churches these days.

I'll just stick with leading my family into knowing and living for Christ through His Word, Worship and Prayer.

"God's people" are crumbling with our social system. Maybe because we are too closely aligned with the social system (mans kingdom) rather than Gods Kingdom.

It is clear that the discussion here is circumlocatious. Wisdom says to only discuss matters with people who are honest as to what they believe.

Can I make this any smaller on my site? It is too long to fit in my content box.

RPC 70706 you absolutely right.
These are not Protestants.
The title of the article should not have read as it does but rather "New Roman Catholic converts embrace confession".
Confess to one another does not mean broadcasting your faults to the world so others can be enticed by your fall and so it can be used against you at some future date as leverage.
If we confess our sins to Christ He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.
Confessing to one another can only be seen in the light of offending a brother or sister and confessing that sin to that brother or sister and recieving forgiveness from that brother or sister.

My exact thoughts to but I know myself that the last time I posted a comment on any website was over 12 months ago.
Between shift work and family time I never have time to slot commenting on
any web site.
It's nice to be on 5 weeks holiday

I coming to recognise the sickness that afflicts Western Society more an more every day and afflicts me too.
Tonight I turned the news on only to have my children want to be with me and the first news story was about a dismembered body. I looked at my children and said "What am I doing I can't allow this" and got up turn the tv off and sat with them in a quiet room talking instead.
The effect of tv on my mind and my children has me seriously considering basementising (sic) our tv's too.

"It is doubtful that any REAL TRUTH is
taught in any of these churches..
Where truth is taught there will be
few in number..."

Perhaps that is why Christ only spoke to groups of 20 or less...or is it 12...we had better find out.

I think this statistic (if correct) is entriely justified through the fact that most of the Church in the Western World is full of babies who need constant feeding the milk rather than going on to strong meat.

Though the cause for this I feel and have seen with my own eyes is due to ministers who pander to this and promote this for their own ends of creating dependency upon their ministry thus feeding either their own egos, or suring up their numbers by not addressing anything "controversial" and thus guarentee a life long career in the ministry by a dumbed down minsitry.

I agree that all these things are detrimental, but I think it is a matter of finding the root cause for the other things to fall away.

Attending church is irrelevant as a persecuting government can imprision you and yet you may still have a Christian Walk and Life.

Not reading the bible as important it is (this is the no 1 thing I do the most in my Christian Walk) is also irrelevant for men can take this from you and yet you can still have a Christian Walk.

Sin certainly can become a blockage and causes problems with your Christian walk but this is a result of a deeper problem.

The problem is the apex of all these things and that is prayer. (Something I know is my downfall. I don't pray hardly at all and I know it is my downfall in all other aspects.)
When I don't pray, I am suseptable to temptation, I do not see through the word of God correctly, attend church mechanically.

Ones entire relationship through Christ and our Father is dependant on prayer. It is the first thing whereby all other things detrimental to ones Christian walk stems.
It is the way the Spirit of God can reach us, soften us, turn our focus away from our self.

Yet a man of prayer without the Word is a right handed man walking on one right leg. Its his best leg but he can only hop.

I use a el cheapo 128 meg mp3 player.
I have had it for 18 months and have been using it during my trips to and from work to listen to sermons.
(3 hours a day) plus if I work night shift I listen to sermons whilst mopping the platform after the station is shut.
The Lord made it clear that I had wasted too much time on things that were unimportant. And this is one of the best ways to be active in "redeeming the time cause the days are evil."
The backlash is I have also become aware that MP3 players isolate people from communication. The need for being sensitive to the people around me may require it to be taken off for a trip so one can speak to others who are seeking truth and the one true God.
Its one thing to hear the truth and another to speak it.
Has anyone else noticed to isolation of the community through personal mp3 players and laptops?
