My dear Brother, there is absolutely no need for an apology from you, I wasn't offended or slighted in the least by anything that you or anyone elses has said.I reciprocate the apology, if anyone was offended by that which I posted, including typos!!!! I was using my phone.;-)
The main thing we are one in The Lord, (hopefully) and it has to be remembered, we all speak English , I think as a first language. But USA and UK are distinct countries with distinct cultures, which I believe get blurred a little just because we share a common language. God Bless you all, and particular BLESSINGS on the victims familys, and that of the sad and misguided perpetrator of this heinous crime. |

It geives me deeply to say the following, if penny is right if christopher is right the.America is in a state of lawlessness , anarchy if you will... Ergo everyone needs guns to protect themselves from bears!!.really, bears penny !!!!.... And if not bears then every one else with a gun of some sort....Forgive me again, but giving YOUR WORDS, the USA doesnt seemed to have evolved, or matured since the days of the Wild West.. I genuinely invite you to emigrate to either Scotland or Wales in the UK. Where you will learn in time to forget about guns, the sound of guns .... And actually learn a peace of mind that must be foreign. To you all.
Just think going to work, sending kids to school going to church to pray.....all without being in fear of your life.........for the largest part.

Many thanks folks to those that took the time to reply to my posts...I shall read up as much as is practical in the links you suggested......
Bottom line however is there is a fundamental ignorance of the
understanding of USA gun.culture from folks like me that live in a society where we go about our daily lives without given guns, the need to own one, or the fear of them a second thought.... Americans on the other hand struggle to understand or get their heads around that Europeans are not similarly obsessed with surrounding themselves with firearms to protect themselves.... A? one point it was.said by an American contributor, and I cant state atrongly enough my dissapointment a? the assertion ... That those opposed to the freely availability of guns ... Was UNMANLY!!!
Apart from never having read such a nonsensical comment on the wonderful SA news section, sums up the non-thinking contrbutions of ............ |

Jim, from Nebraska, i agree with much of what you say, i accept that gun control in the wonderful US is unlikely ever to happen. And if it were it wld take decades úpon decades to rid your country of the excess of firearms...
Re your thoughts on violent solutions, history has proved this true, which to me is so very sad,
Christopher, i believe that. It would take.more than sitting through a prayer meeting to reach into the heart of this deluded and misguided individual. I example myself, as a hard bitten communist, i was determined to argue against the claims of Christ , it took sitting through many many meetings and the intervention of The Holy Spirit before I was to realise the foolishness of my viewpoint and the sinful state i was in..... I am curious however Christopher, has there ever been circumstances where an individual gun owner was in a position to avert a gun massacre due to him or her carrying a firearm??
Mike, you are correct in stating i am ignorant in regard to what an automatic weapon is, my assumption is that a firearm which can be fired repeatedly without reloading. .. i confess ignorance, but in my defence i am only quoting that which is reported on news channels and newspapers....

Dont you get it, "criminals per se" dont do massacres that we witness all too regularly in America,.... Evil induced as well as mentally imbalanced folk carry out these atrocities ...... Why can they do that? Answer, the free availability of automatic weapons in the US, ..... Ban guns, for the most part the problém wld go away.... What other civilised modern society on the planet is plagued with this problém.... None like the US .
Re the charlie hebdo, i contributed extensively elswhere on the murdering islamic scum.
Penned,... Treachery!!! Propoganda!!!!! What utter nonsense, is it treachery to comment on whats happening in the schools, churches and kindergardens in the US, i believe it is my duty as a Believer to speak out , to want gun ownership severly restricted, to discharging a firearm being only allowed a? a gun range.. you know penned, i accept fully that from this side of the Atlantic i have a different perspective on gun issues, BUT i sincerely believe it is "perspective" that those whom scream and shout "right to bear arms" need.
How many innocents have to be brutally murdered before you, and many of your countrymen see that. I pray it is sooner rather than later.

Grow up America. Ban guns, stop clinging to the infantile and out of date...Right to bear arms nonsense. ....
Such an awful waste of life, how many more innocents have to die before you collectively WAKE UP!!!!???
Here in Scotland we had Dunblane tragedy, and in short order tightened up gun control, and as a responsible citizen i surrenedered my firearm, gave up my licence, lest any madman got hold of my gun........
It is beyond the understanding of most modern day Europeans as to why you guys dont wise up, and say ENOUGH. Is ENOUGH.......
I truly pity you, that you seem unable to change your culture, no matter how many m?n womén and CHILDREN , get slaughtered. |

If only leaders In my country of Scotland would take such a stance, Sadly We have the national Church of Scotland , at one time In its history reformed ....NOW, It advocates practicing homosexual men and women In the pulpit. Now It advocates same sex couples In a civil partnership In the pulpit.. NOW, by next year the Plan is to Allow married same sex couples In the pulpit.
And believe It or not...they have the hypocritical audacity to actualy speak against same sex marriage, you couldnt make It up. |

The Ukraine was destablised by mobs and.Fascist groups supported and trained by the USA and the EU.
As countries invading other countries to enforce democracy on them , here was a democratic country with an elected democratic government, albeit corrupt,... Like most other western governments... But destablised , because of USA and EU self interest.
They were afraid of the trading and financial block Putin and China were putting into place... Seems to me its the same old story of man's Love of Money , in that multi nationals want to preserve their market share , even if it means stoking up war talk, and sending young men and women to their deaths, just to preserve their bottom line........Father in Heaven open up their eyes, convict them of sin , bring them to their knees in repentance, and confessing the Lord Jesus as saviour and
Lord..... Oh that world leaders would truly find Christ.....

Jessica Dawson of Canada.Thankyou dear sister For your loving and thoughtful words, also for sharing your regretable experiences on the SA news site. It is unfortunate when those whom are determined their particular doctrinal view is exclusively Right.
And through this lens of their percieved inerrant doctrinal view; They insist they have exclusivity to Interpretation, going by much of the debate.. I Come from a reformed Position, but weary at the lack of LOVE by many contributors. Jessica , like you i may take a break reading through the exchanges as they are often fruitless . . After all watching self claiming believers, snipe and ridicule anothers Biblical Interpretationen is at Best very depressing... If i can say In love my brethren, love one another, Show more respect one for the other, accepting that NONE OF US has a monopoly In truthful Interpretation.
Remember. Unbelievers will read these pages, some no doubt under conviction, looking for Answers.....

There is a rush to judgement oftentimes on this site.......
There is also , to me at least, a lack of Love on display....
Look at any news item on homosexuality, It is mostly inundated with comments....Let me be clear, i abhor homosexuality, Am disgusted by the national church In Scotlands relaxed attitude to It. BUT, putting our prejudices aside, homosexuals are just as much In need, and not more so than family and friends whom are unconverted .... ALL need Christ. If our sister In the Lord HAS Fällen, or strayed from the Way, then let us pray for her .... Surely this is a better way, than judging, and critiszing her..
Just a thought. He who is without sin , and all that.
