IMO, the creation account is a cornerstone to all other truths in scripture. It reveals God who can simply speak things into existence. The complexities of God’s creative power are mind boggling and unfathomable to any fair minded person. And just think, God simply has to purpose something and it must come to pass.
To deny literal six 24 hour days creation account is to deny God. The concept of macroevolution is incompatible with Christianity ‚Äď period.
John UK wrote: What happened to the protest about extradition? Oh, that was just a front. The real business is just beginning, and this one will end in more than just tears. A dragon can eat a thousand grasshoppers at a time.
Hey Brother! I also don't think this Hong Kong thing is a moral issue but strictly a political issue and except for perhaps verbal support we should do nothing.
China is the 2nd most powerful country in the world and they have no regard for life or liberty, so they will win.
Jim Lincoln wrote: Frank, Divine Providence stopped any abortion of Christ, John the Baptist Jeremiah, etc., But God has aborted more preborns, than any groups of physicians, no matter if you call the miscarriages, spontaneous abortions, and so forth. Many people have looked at Scriptures differently from Catholics even conservative Protestants before their unholy political alliance with the Catholic Church. In fact Protestants had the same view on abortion as Jews did. excerpts from, " Judaism and abortion:..." https://tinyurl.com/y24sowfs
Jim, do you realize just how stupid and illogical your comment is? If God stops a life, that is His business, not mine. He doesn't answer to me, I answer to Him.
You are still nit-picking and it doesn't surprise me in the least that you are trying to use a female Jew to prove your point. Whatever happened to your old Jewish theologian.
I have a great meditation on abortion if you want it.
You are implying that if a baby is murdered in the womb, then the person doing it can blame divine providence.
The unborn Christ was fully human from conception. And the unborn John the Baptist was fully human when he leapt for joy in Elizabeth’s womb.
Buttigieg would say it was okay to murder the Messiah from birth and to murder John the Baptist even after he recognized his Lord and Savior in the womb. Mary was poor and unmarried so according to all the democrats, Mary should have actually been allowed and encouraged to terminate her pregnancy.
I could site numerous scriptures that show life begins while we are in the womb. Life begins at conception ‚Äď period.
Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders endorsed abortion to curb population growth during a town hall Wednesday, saying it‚Äôs a solution that would work ‚Äúespecially in poor countries‚ÄĚ around the world.
The above is from the article.
What Bernie really believes in is eugenics. I can pretty much assure folks that it is rare for anyone who is deemed successful in our society to get an abortion.
The argument for abortion is so lame. But, one of Hitler’s propagandists correctly understood how easy it is to brainwash mankind.
The below is an internet article.
‚ÄúRepeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth‚ÄĚ, is a law of propaganda often attributed to the Nazi Joseph Goebbels. Among psychologists something like this known as the "illusion of truth" effect.

Just like they are with the casinos, each state is slowly moving towards recreational use marijuana for purely revenue reasons. The war on drugs always included MJ and hash, etc. In fact, how many are sitting in prisons right now for carrying/using/dealing, these illegal, mind-altering drugs? So, individual states begin to see how much cash they can bankroll if they were to take over the action, legalize the drug, and become the exclusive suppliers/dealers. They see money signs, reverse the laws that held them as class-1 drugs, legalizing the drugs for recreational use, and sold only by dispensaries, that the state controls, places a heavy product tax on for their slice of the action, and by a stroke of the pen, they become instant drug dealers, with no competition. The very same dealers that they've been imprisoning for decades. Interesting.
I am so ignorant when it comes to drugs, including marijuana. But, I do understand your point and I couldn't agree more. FOLLOW THE MONEY.
Youth in Asia wrote: I doubt anyone going to read what I say anymore, Christians try to make so many excuses to stop loving their brothers and sisters. But if this were a valid excuse, every one of us could avoid the call to love, and we do avoid it as pointed out by so many people here on unwillingness to forgive Benny Hynn.
Benny Hinn is not my enemy, he is God's enemy. I don't even know him and have never met him. He hasn't stolen from me or any of my loved ones.
He has preached a false gospel to 10s of thousands and has stolen money from the rich and the poor.
Now if you are curious, why don't you google what it means to be an enemy of God and His Son. (notice the Psalms and David)
If you think that Benny Hinn is my brother in the Lord, then you are clueless. If you want further thoughts on this, then please email me.
If you suspected that a Christian site would reject your thoughts, then that means there is a good chance that you are simply wrong.
Unless you respond to this, I will in fact ignore you.
Well it appears this fellow is simply doing what his Islamic faith tells him to do. His reasoning is certainly not Christian. He was raised a Muslim and as far as I can tell still considers himself to be a Muslim.
Benny Hinn has presented a false gospel for many years and has confused and misled 100s of thousands of people. He has become extremely wealthy by defrauding the unsaved for years. I have absolutely nothing to show me Hinn is saved; therefore his repentance means absolutely nothing even if he was sincere.
Numerous studies have shown that employers and society at large discriminate against tattooed people. Yet the tattoo, once ‚Äúlargely reserved for criminals, sailors and circus freaks‚ÄĚ, has undergone a rise in popularity that ‚Äúconstitutes one of the most significant cultural trends in the West‚ÄĚ,
I never saw a tattoo as a child or even as a young adult. Now I see them everywhere! I have never seen a tattoo that I would even remotely consider to be attractive in any sense. I think men started doing it because they thought it would make them appear to be more masculine, but to this day I have no idea why a woman would do it. I remember some feminist saying something like this; if you want to be liberated become more like a man. Could that be the reason?
The below does apply:
Leviticus 19:28 - Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I [am] the LORD.
John UK wrote: Phew, according to our BBC reports, the hurricane is moving northwards just east of Florida's coastline. How about that, Frank? Your prayers are mighty fine, bro!
I am so happy that my wife and I appear to be safe; praise the Lord. Now if the Lord takes this storm out into the Atlantic and it self destructs without causing any more damage, my prayers would be fully and completely answered.
Dolores wrote: Prayers for our brethren that are in harms way, that God’s protection will be with them as they make decisions concerning what they need to do. May strength be given you and peace of mind. Brother Frank being one that comes to mind and others as well on here.
Thanks sister. It appears my area is totally safe, but I'm sure many of our brothers and sisters are not.
Thanks to both of you for your comments and agreement. I think the below applies. The Lord knows and is in control.
Matthew 13:30 ‚ÄúLet both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.‚ÄĚ
This comment will sound divisive, but it is not my intent.
The problem I see with this is these people protesting will be thought of as being part of the body of Christ. Anyone who names the name of Christ is thought of by the world as being a genuine part of His body. Of course we know that isn’t true. So, when some priest molests someone, the world thinks that a Christian did the molestation. When protesters use the Lord’s name, then the same thing happens. And of course we could go on and on.
These things result in the dummying down of the gospel and our relationship to our Lord and Savior is judged by the world by things of this nature.
"We will always respect the freedom of religion of every veteran of every faith,"
A politician will always use the term ‚Äúrespect‚ÄĚ instead of something like ‚Äútolerate‚ÄĚ. Respect is a form of adoration. Our country was founded as a pluralistic nation and this is simply what that means.
Here is what pluralism really means. If someone says that faith in Christ is essential for their individual salvation but not necessarily for someone else’s then they have logically said it wasn’t essential for them, but was simply a matter of personal choice. The world has told us to think this way in all spiritual matters. So it is not uncommon for someone to apply a moral standard to their own lives, but not to the lives of others. That is moral hypocrisy of the highest order and simply deludes the lost into reducing God’s moral standards and requirements to personal choices, and if a personal choice then they can’t be binding on anyone. This personal choice fallacy is one of the characteristics that separate the true church of Christ from all others. Pluralism is simply spiritual polygamy. There are lots of worthy husbands and Christ just happens to be the one I chose. But, I’ll sleep with whomever I want!
