Amen Watcher! The Holy Spirit in a believer will aways point us to the Lord Jesus Christ and what He did for us poor undone sinners. Out of gratitude and love as we grow in our walk with the Lord, we will be gradually in some measure bear fruit unto God. Some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
As a Christian lady I whole heartily agree with Frank's comment. The rotten fruit from feminism is alive and well in homes and churches across this nation. I praise the Lord for the grace and mercy bestowed upon me to have my blind eyes open and to follow my Lord on the narrow road, and by His Grace try to be the godly woman that He commands me to be.
Just a friendly reminder from God's Book, for all of us. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
The account of Dinah who went out to see the daughters of the land.Genisis 34, and how that all brought rape, death and destruction should be plenty warning for Christian parents who see nothing wrong in placing their precious children in immodest attire before the ungodly.
No worries at all. I was not offended in any way. Just wanted to give a female point of view. Thank you for your very helpful, comments, especially concerning cremation.
For me personally I do not want to enter in a prolonged convo with any of the male posters on any forum. Just because we are behind a computer screen does not negate God and husband honoring principles. But I do like to give encouragement, perhaps ask a question, or sometimes post what the Lord has taught me in His Word concerning the subject at hand.
I do realize that there are some posters who will not agree with me but that's fine, we are all a work in progress as we journey to our Fathers house.
Looking forward to meeting many of you on that great day.
Some valid observations by most on this subject. My husband and I have discussed this matter, as well as the biblical standards for a Christian women that are laid out for us in the Bible. I am under his headship in these matters, not another brother or sister in Christ and their well meaning directives. This is really a secondary issue and should not be used to cause division among God's people. My thoughts anyway.
Thank you to the posters from the UK who were having the discussion concerning cremation. I appreciate the openness with which you both were willing to share with us. This subject is very hard to talk about with ones family and acquaintances as it seems to make them uncomfortable and wanting to change the subject quickly.:-)
Once again, thank you as I benefitted from your posts.
