No, I never posted as SteveR, he is his own man.I believe John Y is according to his profession, a believer. I cannot say for sure, as no one here can either. I have read his remarks for the past 7 or so years and see someone at war within himself, as I was and still am, over his attendance of Mass and in a Protestant Church. He has said off the Wall things, which I considered as such, but have pity for him. He doesn’t defend well and has been confronted, but it has become a constant pile on. I just can’t sit by and see this over an over again. If you and the ant-troll cohort feel it is necessary to continue, then so be it. I DO NOT refute the biblical mandate to rebuke, it is clear. I just feel bad for him for some reason. |

“But woe unto, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.”“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” “Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of MANY. So that contrawise ye ought rather to forgive him, and COMFORT him, lest perhaps such a one might be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.” “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” “With all lowliness and meekness, with LONGSUFFERING, forbearing one another in love...” |

I know this, John Yurich is an easy target because he doesn’t really defend himself. Plus, this is a forum related to articles posted publicly, so like the Areopagus during Paul’s day, it’s a place where people can present ideas and thoughts. Of course, challenges to others views are part of the process. Yet, there is a constant stream of ad hominem attacks on John Yurich which doesn’t befit professsd Christians. But, of course this always seems to fall on deaf ears (eyes) because it’s never wrong to call someone a “troll”, “Jesuit troll”, “unsaved”, “unregenerate” , on and on to some. Plus, if someone like myself points it out then I’M the one doing the devil’s work. I have yet to see anyone of you apologize to John Yurich for calling him a troll or even worse unregenerate. Are you really saying you know a man’s heart via a news article forum? Be reasonable already. |

God is not subject to time or His creation, everything is “now” with God, to include all of existence. So on our end ( subject to time) He has PRE- determined all that has occurred. Pharaoh, l Caiphas, Judas, Herod were predestined to do their part in God’s, but chose to do so according to their spiritual disposition (deadness) therefore are liable. Likewise, Jesus knows his sheep because He predestined them to be his sheep, hence the reason they know his voice. Further, Jesus states in John 6! that NO one comes to him (Christ) lest God draws him. Couple that with Romans 5:8, while we were STILL sinners, Christ died for us and it gives in insight into God’s predetermined will relative to the elect ( chosen) and leaving others in their dead state (see Romans 9:22). God DOES predestine some to eternal salvation and some to eternal damnation. |
