“ Great Sermon! ”
I agree with you that even the Jews still have to believe in Christ for salvation...but its also obvious that the church hasn't replaced Israel and that Gods wonderful promises for Israel will be fullfilled.

I'm sorry I can't seem to find the word rapture in any Greek text, let alone in KJV Bible.

I just wanted to thank you for this post Wil. I have struggled with this and it something that I have been challenged with when I consider how I am going to end my messages everytime I get to preach or teach. I posted a link to this on my blog and I am encouraging everyone I know to read your post. Thanks again.

Elders? I guess that you are referring to 1 Timothy 5:1? Here the word elder refers to an age man, because Paul states next the “younger men”. But if you are referring to verse 15, it still means age man, but maybe in the sense of age in which the age man could be trusted.

Either way, why can’t there be elders in a home church?

Your 3000 in Acts is way off. First of all, these men were from all around the region of Israel. They came back to Jersualem to celebrate Pentecost. But note verse 46, “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, [that’s to say the temple courts, for they were forbidden to enter into the Jewish Temple] and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising Yahweh, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

What “house to house”.

Now keep in mind the phrase in verse 47, “to the church” is not in most of the texts, it was added.

Donnie says, "not to forsake the assemblies of ourselves together."
Those of us that assemble in our house son't we fulfill this?

Dosen't Yahshua state in Mat 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Dr Phil said
We are not told that God told Eve directly of the commandment, because Eve was not yet formed when He told Adam Gen. 2:17. When she answered the serpent, it demonstrates a) that she had knowledge of the command, and b) Adam must have taught her the command.

Ok Dr. Phil I agree with that.

But as DJC49 commented on his post, “I've always wondered why Eve tacked on the addendum: "nor shall you TOUCH it" to the command that God gave Adam in Gen 2:17”

Do we have the possibility of Adam twisting the commandment of Yahweh around?

Could it have been Adam that added “nor shall you shall touch it”?

Was Adam overwhelmed into the beauty of Eve, that he was willing to twist the commandment?

Yahweh knew he had; but He puts this question to bring him to a confession of it, that it was a violation of a precept of His, who had been so kind and bountiful to him, who had crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of His hands, and had allowed him to eat of every tree in the garden but one; there was but one tree restrained from him, but one command He gave him, and this he broke; sin is a transgression of the law, 1Jo_3:4. And in this light it is here put to bring Adam under a conviction, and to a confession of it.

Dr. Phil, good question.

Now there are a number of things to consider.

In Gen. 2, to whom was Yahweh speaking to?
Gen 2:16 And Yahweh Elohim commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Note woman not formed yet.

Now whom was Satan talking to?

Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which Yahweh Elohim had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath Elohim said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, Elohim hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Can we believe that Eve didn't know the commandment set forth?

Where does it state that Adam told her?

Now if Adam was there with her, why didn't he speak up and tell Satan what Yahweh really said?

There is no doubt that the Yahweh's commandment was broking.

I'm a big fan of the home Churches. It wasn't until I got out of the Church system, that I actually started to grow. I was tried of sucking on bottle"s milk. I needed the meat of the word.

Tom, where would you recommend people go to Church?

What system holds the best perspective towards Yahweh's Words?

Truley I have not found any. For they all teach some sort of church traditions, instead of the truth.

I compare this to the school system. Why is it that there are more home schooled children with a higher education then those that attend a school system?

By the way, who is teaching these children? for the most part their parents. Parents with common sense and not some piece of useless paper.

Just as in the Churches of today. There are many minister, that base their reasoning on a piece of paper.

I have meet many people that have more common sense when it comes to Yahweh's word, then those that hang their pieces of paper on the wall.

One thing that I find interesting, is those that each out of their homes are more open minded to the truth, then those that are set in the ways of their church system.

Kevin
