A powerful message. A "must hear" for everyone!!. This sermon exalts the glory of God through Christ's work. May we serve, worship and live for the LORD alone, for He is God.

“ Exactly what I needed ”
Both these sermons have helped me so much, theyve given me peace about where I am and the process I'm going through, while also admonishing. Great speaker I've never heard of him but I'll be downloading more. He's very personable, practical and straight forward yet interesting to listen to and excited about God's promises for us.

If one does not believe in the literal 6 day approach they are essentially disregarding Biblical truth to place God and His works within human comprehension.
You CANNOT say that the "Word was God" (John 1) and say therefore that the Word is Truth (for God is Truth) if you beleive in a longer creation period than 6 days. Either all in the Bible is true or all is not (and to claim that 6 days is not in fact 6 days is dispensational rubbish.)

“ Great Sermon! ”
Far from proving communism, this text establishes that meeting the needs of her own is the prerogative of the church (not the state). Perhaps the welfare state would be dealt a lethal blow if each church practiced this type of Spirit-filled generosity. The Kingdom of Christ would be enlarged and the encroachments of the state would be diminished! Thus can we give legs to our prayer “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

“ Wrong Sermon ”
Good message, but wrong title- it actually deals w/ how pedophiles are making dangerous inroads into our society, not bankruptcy.

Romans 6:23 would have been effective - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Lyn,
I think it’s also valid to point out that they’re not passing these shot glasses out at AA meetings or to the Church congregation (at least I hope not). If an alcoholic is already in a bar ordering a drink, it’s probably too late for this to be a stumbling block. I also find it hard to imagine someone drinking out of one of these glasses without getting a huge guilt trip! Hopefully it would put the idea in their head that there’s real help for them out there. I agree with everything you say about alcoholism and its effects, but this hits at the heart of the problem: the Church is there for sinners. Here’s an analogy – I don’t want a gun in my house, but I’m sure glad our soldiers get one issued to them. It sounds contradictory, but that’s why context is so important.

lyn,
I invite you to spend some time with our French brothers and sisters. I assure you that your perspective on wine will change - the phobia is purely cultural.
Also let's remember Jesus was not trying to reach anyone with this miracle, he was just doing his mother a favor. They hadn't run out of grape juice - they were out of wine. This was the culture, so I don't see it as contradicting God's word - rather I would warn against distorting the context to fit our puritan ideals.

I am the Lord your God who brought thee up out of the land of egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.Thou salt not make unto thyself any graven images. Either of the heavens above or of the earth beneath, or of the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them. For I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquities unto the thrid adn forth generation of them that hate me. But showing mercy unto the thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who taketh his name in vain.Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days thou shalt labor and do all thy work, but the seventh day is the sabath unto the Lord thy God. In it thou shalt not do any work, neither you nor your man servant nor your maid servant, your son, nor your daughter, nor the stranger within your gate. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, but rested on the seventh. Wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it.Honor your father and your mother, that thy days may be long upon the land that the Lord thy God giveth you.Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery.Thou shalt not bear f

Next thing you know Christians are gonna think that they can't play sports. Well I for one am gonna pick up my bowling balls every tuesday night, go down to the lanes, and bowl with all those people who cuss, get drunk, and talk about immoral things, because I for one can be a light to them. I've had many people come up to me and ask me why I don't cuss, drink, etc... and I get a chance to tell them about God. And I for one don't think it's wrong to watch pro sports, especially golf, when the guy who won the US Open praised God for his victory (and it was true praise, not just pointing to the heavens and all that other stuff)

I rarely leave a tip. I don't make a lot of money. Also, I worked at McDonalds before. I never got tipped while preparing someone's food for them and I feel the same way with any Restaurant. It's gotten to the point where it's expected and not earned. If someone does a great job, above and beyond what they are supposed to do, and I happen to have some cash, I might leave a tip. I do what I want with my money and if someone wants to tip with "their" money, they can go for it. But don't look down on me because I don't.

Here's a question to think about. If you give to a ministry, instead of to the Church, is that ok?

I believe in tithing and I myself have seen the blessings from it. So many of us have been given so much and yet so many of us don't share even a portion of what GOD has given us. So many are homeless and malnourished. If everyone gave 10% of their incomes to churches and other organizations, I really think people in the world would be better off. There's just to many selfish people. But that's their choice right?

All I have to say is I love Jeremy Camp. And if I could worship God every Sunday at Church while singing his songs I would. I love most kinds of worship. But considering my age, I'm not so much into the Hymns. Even though they are a good form of worship, I would rather worship while singing something else. Just personal opinion.

Jerusalem as it lies at the hub of the three continents that God gave to Noah's three sons: Ham/Africa, Japeth/Europe, and Shem/Asia. Nimrod’s Babylon does also, a city designed to keep men from spreading out were they were meant to go.

Read carefully: Deut. 32:8 When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

God is not a "uniter" (like Nimrod), he is a "divider" of the sons of man into their boundaries - lines that should not be crossed.

Paul said in Acts 17:26-27 "…all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord,"

This says bounds of habitation/separation lead races to “seek the Lord” - that is because race-mixers always end up throwing God out in their vain attempt to achieve unity.

Unity in Christ spiritually eliminates racial or gender differences - however that does not change anything about our current station in life. Woman can't be preachers in the Church, and Christian slaves must continue to do their Christian masters service (1 Tim. 6:2).

This does not mean the Bible advocates race hate!

When the IRA breaks their word (yet again!) won't Mr. Paisley look like fool?? How long until that happens, I wonder?

When Ariel Sharon wanted to make peace he formed a new party, Kadima. The change of name and organization is a clean break from the past, which is the only terms on which DUP should accept those Sinn Fein types. When Gerry Adams says, I'm leaving SF and forming a new group that is committed to peace - that's a basis on which Paisley can say OK and not look stupid later if they break their word.

Hopefully the worst of the terrorist SF crooks would refuse to join the new group, and maybe it could be a fresh start.

If the rule was at least laid down by Paisley that any time you break your word and blow things up we are NEVER going to do business with you again, then that is a true disincentive to future violence.

I agree that Eire has no right to govern Ulster - let Eire submit to governmental oversight by Ulster first. Two nations can share an island without sharing a goverment.

What Ulster needs is a "winner take all" system that will leave the Roman Catholic minority with no effective voice.

(Media hypocrisy says Eire is Catholic by "majority rights," but Ulster can't be Protestant because that offends the "minority rights" - HA!)

Sister 33K,

God determines the bounds of habitation so your argument is with the Bible. He gave this continent to the Europeans, as is his right. And in judgment he can take it away again, as he is clearly in the process of doing.

There is nothing "unbiblical" about avoiding race-mixing. It's sound doctrine.

Yesterday's Christians had a lot more sense, but today the apostate "pukes" of Laodicea are brainwashed by TV to accept the United Nation's evil "diversity" as being charitable. It's a satanic ploy to break up homogeneous societies so that the antichrist can set up his one-world system all the easier.

The New Testament also condones slavery. Modern Christians have been co-opted to crusade for evil programs that sound nice, but are deadly unbiblical evils, such as:

Gender Equality, Economic Redistribution, Abolition, Universal Health Care, Diversity, Racial Equality, and every other "big government" program.

The comments show how clueless modern Christians are about what the Bible says (as opposed to what it is presumed to teach).
