John and Jim claim to be Christians and they “teach” others. This woman is and always was a pagan. She didn’t grow up with believing parents. She’s an outsider. So I don’t get accused of cherry picking verses see 5 and 6 below. Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven. 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. 7 Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant[a] in the Lord. |

He said, ""Senator" Hirono needs to shut up her office and step up to the stove, the sink and the washing machine and perform the role God intended for her." I'm surprised he didn't say that she needed to be barefoot. God, before the Fall, made women to be helpers. They weren't a flawed creation. Not a mistake on God's part. Eve was deceived into sin, Adam sinned willfully, and then blamed his wife. He was no angel. We trust the care of our own children to our wives. Yes, women are keepers of the home, but they do so much more in a Biblical economy (see Proverbs 31). Such a statement doesn't "answer the Senator in her folly"; rather, it trivializes what good Christian women do every day for their families and their churches. It's crass and belittling speech that doesn't build up at all. If he wanted to answer her by her folly, then he should have stuck to her only and showed the consequences of men being silent. That would include all of those liberal men that support politicians like her. Lurker wrote: Marty, I have no bone to pick with you. Please quote exactly what Doc Tim posted that has caused such an uproar and we can discuss it. Or better yet, you can tell me what is wrong with it from a biblical perspective. |
