Good for Robert Foster. I'll have to send him a good-will gesture oppossum burger...

I think all men should avoid being alone with any woman other than his wife, at all times.

It's not really a question if it's the safer model or not. It's a matter of avoiding the chance of a lifelong stain that was thrown on you, vs being safe...

And this is not an issue of the "Me too" movement either. The things Rep Foster is trying to avoid have been happening for the history of the world. Just go ask Joseph if he would have liked to avoided the confrontation with Potiphar's wife...

I would certainly do the same thing if I was in his position 👍

As Christians we are the ones who have taken in the sick, the unwanted, the orphans, and the widows. Historically it has always been the Christian who have given the most in genuine love and help to those in need...

But we have to be careful and wise in how we apply this. No one in their right mind would care for a injured tiger in there house. Just so we should not be taking refugees from worn torn countries without some type of safety protocol...

Lets give these image bearers of God food, clothing, and shelter so they can come in and abuse us, steal, and be a general weight on society. That is not wisdom in any way...

We have the chance to avoid what Europe is going through with the Muslims if we do the refugee thing right, or really, not do it at all..

Right for sure QC. Like being non-racist is a matter of percentages based off the average race break down in the given area.

Not being racist is a matter of the heart. It stops there and has nothing to do with percentages or anything of that sort. Nor will having perfectly integrated churches solve the problem...

The only racist I have noticed on here is the one from Nebraska who sits in his basement eating cool ranch Doritos, while looking for any way to stir up trouble...

Jim Lincoln says...
"but if a person was in the typical Methodist Church if he looked around all the people people see would be White ones."

I would like to make a point about actual racism...

First a question, is it racist to notice different skin colors? Is it wrong to describe people by physical traits such as hair patterns, eyes, or skin color?

If the answer is yes, than we are in a hopeless fight to try to change how we are designed. To look around a church and say "humph all the people are here are white/black" is natural for people. It doesn't change the character of the observed or the observer and doesn't make either side racist. What makes racism is purposely denying someone the same treatment as you would have yourself over skin.

I am so sick of our culture shoving skin color in the faces of those who wouldn't have given it a thought otherwise. Humans are going to forever see the world in color. We are not going to look around like it's a black and white movie. But treating all people the same doesn't mean we will see them in the same physical way. It honestly doesn't matter. Just like eye color or hair pattern, we are all made in a beautiful way by the Lord and we will be able to forever see and observe the amazing design of our God in black, white, and b

Seems right to me...

Lip work is easy, free, and fast. But when it come to backing your believes with words, they become like Pres Trump signing a bill giving Planned Parenthood 500 million greenbacks...

He probably posted a tweet the very next week proclaiming his defense of the unborn...

Frank says...
I also know that when many of the homeless are helped financially, they simply spend the money on more drugs. We actually have a homeless situation in our family, so I may be a little tainted?"

Absolutely true. I saw a homeless person once in Pensacola FL holding up a sign that said "I'm not going to lie, I need a beer". That is the mindset of most homeless people. If they have two legs and to arms, and can stand up in the heat (or cold) for hours, then they can raise themselves out or the mire if they chose too, but they don't care...

We also have a fairly close relative who is a drug addict and homeless. He has been wandering the streets of New Orleans for almost two decades. He has broke every link of trust and support from his family and is now wandering the streets, all by his own doing.

I find it interesting that the most wicked states on our country are built on the back of our most unstable soils...

The ignorant, defiant God-haters are shaking their fist at God while he crumbles the very ground they stand on...

Sometimes I think of how nice it would be to look into the future 50 years from now. And other times I think I wouldn't want it to come if I knew...

Every nation has its fall, and some are literal, falling into the ground...

Excellent points QC. I would totally agree with the government having no business helping people survive. I personally don't even believe that homeless shelters really have a place in a society ran biblically...

Protect us from evildoers, and punish evildoers governments only job...

I can understand the other side saying it messes up their seeing...

My brother wears glasses everyday, and when I have tried to wear them, I almost couldn't see for a minute afterwards. I wear driving glasses myself, and not having glasses catered to your unique eye condition can really hurt your eyes...

Of course I don't really know what this has to do with a Christian perspective of life?

SC says
We are to be good stewards over that to which God has entrusted.
Killing animals desensitizes people."

God has told us to kill and eat. You just don't understand looking at your family and knowing it's either you kill the oppossums, or they kill you.

Like Dr Tim said. These critters are 400 lbs. You don't play around with them. Especially if its a matter of life or death. The only thing that I get desensitized about is an empty stomach anyway...

They do that with oppossums here is Miss'sip. You are can kill as many as you want and there is no season...

Of course down here, if that wasn't an option, the whole state would starve to death...

The old vaccine debate...

Call me anti-vaccine or whater you like. My kids will not be injected with the toxic venom that the vaccines contain. Cells of other creatures, aluminum, mercury, and (in many cases) aborted baby stem cells...

The last time I got a vaccine was when I was 7. A year after that a developed a bad eczema outbreak on my arm. Ever since then I have had it on some part of my body. Face, thighs, shoulders, etc. I get weekly reminders of the dangers of vaccines every time I start to itch. Of course I was already prone to skin issues since I was a C-section, but the vaccines made it noticeably worse...

Would we expect anything else form a for profit business. That is one reason why churches should be set up on a fixed salary for the ministers and others...

Otherwise, it becomes so easy just be more liberal to bring in more people and make more money. And the little bit becomes a lot a bit over time...

This is yet another problem with women being in the mainstream work force (excluding women's health fields, and the very-rare-occasion-people-love-making-the-standard). God has given the provision part life to the men. Therefore he designed his creatures as such. Men are better equipped to do physical things like this. It just simply the truth...

Many times, part of providing for a family includes things that need a strong body. Construction, manufacturing, and apparently being a pilot also. Women are given a different, but equal role of child rearing, and birthing, and educating...

Both are absolutely vital to have a family, and society that is healthy and strong. If you don't have those concepts acted out, you get...well... the US. Our country is falling very quickly because we are trying to destroy the ideas behind our God given design. Let's keep trying to make men, and women do the same stuff, all we will do is fail. We will make a country that is loosing money because of the lack of maximum proficiency due in women in the work force. And we will have generations of uneducated, untrained children who don't know who they are, or what their place is in society because their mothers are gone, working to pay the schools, the job they should be doing...

We live in a mess

QC says...
IF the Lord tarries and this world remains another forty years, you will be in a fairly unique position"

I totally agree...

I am fairly certain that we are entering an age similar to the great persecutions experienced by the early church. An age where people blame the Godly ones for the problems they brought on themselves...

I am confident I can take the persecution brought on myself. But the agony that comes with persecution for a potential family is really hard to think about. The thought that my kids could be taken because they will be biblically disciplined (they'll call it child abuse), the negative influences from a culture saturated in bad media, or the financial heartaches we will start to have as we become a socialist country...

Those are the things that I will have to face. My the Lord give me courage in the time of need...

So I guess by the time I am the age of many people on here, this nation will be a country filled with blank, ignorant, communist dummies who follow in the footsteps of the lazy nation destroyers of history...

Pot is the first stone on crossing the creek to a complete dependency on the State. The socialist in this country want a generation to grow that can't take care of themselves, is drugged out, dumbed out, and monitored out of oblivion...

I can't imagine want we will look like in 2040 or so...
