Unprofitable Servant..you remind me of a wise old owl (well, not old exactly but mature) sitting in a tree quietly watching and listening to all the chatter going on beneath kinda like Whinnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and all the others always did..and then finally the owl speaks and it is so full of wisdom that you listen to his words and it makes so much more sense than the chatter going on below that you want to stop talking and listen..at least I do.
Sorry, too lazy to go look the word up in the dictionary..just got home from church and pretty tired..good sermon though..about we are all going to stand before the judgement seat of God..sinners before the Great White Throne..christians before the judgement seat of Christ to recieve our rewards according to how we used the talents we were given..anyway, it was his heart doctor that told him to eat more vension..of course he is a hunter also..I know because thats what they talk about when he goes in for his check ups. You see he has 5 stents in one artery and 2 in another.
Christropher, we are on the same page and I do exactly what you do with bugs even spiders. I work really hard trying to get them out of the house. So just imagine how you would feel if you got a text from your son or husband ( well not husband..scratch that) with a picture of this beautiful deer with his head down, blood coming out and you have to say,"oh wow that's a nice one..good eating that one"!! They always send pictures because they feel proud as a hunter in old pioneer days when they brought food home for his family. Actually his cardiolist told him to eat more venison. If things go the way they are now for much longer( cattle have been sold off because of the drought conditions here in Texas ...they are dying in places from drought).. maybe Anne from the Wild West can teach you how to hunt. LOL
@I agree Michael Hranek, especially the part where you said, "wouldn't hurt in our daily lives ( to have a meeting place with God)". That's the most important thing to do. Our daily worship of God is very important in our walk with God..it's what keeps us strong in our faith, not flounding and unsure of what we believe. That's one of the first things I learned when I backslid and came back to God.. you cannot depend on the Church totally, you have to search the Bible yourself for God's leading but the Church has it's place in a christians' life also.
I hope they don't start trying to control bow and arrow..that is my son's favorite to hunt with..he killed a six point buck yesterday with his bow..first one killed in their camp..my sons grew up hunting with their dad and we love vension. If someone wants to kill they will do it and it doesn't have to be a gun.
I agree with Penny. Life begins at conception..it is not a blob but a baby in the process of being formed. My mother wanted a large family like she came from, ten brothers and one sister. My grandfather was a farmer. They had no running water just a well, no electricity. She used no birth control, ever. She had two girls two yrs. apart. One died at age two..I was born 16 yrs later and she never had anymore. I thought that was kind of strange since her mother had a cetain number and my mom had only 3. God is the one who choses who is to be born, I guess, because neither one used birth control.
Sounds like Obummer ( my friends favorite word for the President) is stirring the pot a lot lately..could he be wanting to start another civil war? Perscution on Christians..here in America? Good verse R.K. we better memorize it in case we need it in the future.
Thank you Will from Mississippi for your comment. I agree with you, and it was said from a youth's perspective on the subject..and we so need that on this forum. I know things have changed from when I was a teenager but Jesus is the same He never changes. I loved going to church, no one had to make me go. Like Will I had friends that helped me.I was in GAs and there was no entertainment just the study of God's word..sometimes we had parties with the RAs and we enjoyed that mixing with the boys.. what fun! We had a piano with the older songs..no drums, guiters, loud praise songs etc. I listened to my teenage songs at home or danced to them with my friends.I rebelled because of issues at home and was miserable until I came back to God and I missed Church but felt too unworthy to attend. There is still some Churches that have not bowed their knee to the gods of this world.find you one..btw mine is far from perfect believe me!
Sorry for all the misspelled words because this nook I'm on has small letters and I hit the wrong letter but maybe you can get what I'm trying to get across.
I saw the video about Billy G raham..what he said eas he at this point in his life he was no longer trying to be God..he's saying there will be true believers from all different religions with different doctrines. Heis no longer playing Judge and jury to the world..that is God's job. Why he put it the way he did puzzles because Baptist believ there is only one way to God and that being Jesus. There is one preacher that never lost his fire up until his death. Now I changelle you to watch some of the videos of David Wilkerson..of the prosperous preaching that are duping the elderly and poor out of their..he calls them ravous wolves in sheep clothing! Watch the 3 part videos on his book "The Vision" written in 1973 and watch what he wrote coming to place right now..or you can turn a deaf ear and go on and miss God's messages just as they did in the days of Noah as they riducled and ignored his warnings.
John UK, you said it very well..never thought of it like that but it's true and l am learning through this how to handle things in other areas of my Christian walk as well.
Penny, you are fine and like John uk said we really need to hear others thoughts and you were right about poor Gs. I was hard on him and he really is a nice christian guy. It is hard to find a good Church, especially the things young people are having to deal with now it is so needed.
I want to thank everyone who responded with their prayers and love for me and as usual Chris's encourgement..you are too funny and sweet to get upset with. Lisa you and Penny are special to me also because you are women and that makes me feel comfortable posting and love both of you.Unprofitable Servant you always bless me with your posts. I've finally realized that if I post something I better be ready for the arrows because we have different but I have a strong dislike of being told that I am not saved...I try not to do that to others that I have a disagreement with..anyway I felt that God wanted me on this forum because it's strange how I found it, so I gave up and quit. Well, I'm back thanks to encouagement from sweet Christian friends..God bless.
This will be my last post. I don't believe I have the cause at all with my posts. I guess I can't relate because are not having the problems here that is every where else. Our chuch has young families, youth groups, children dept.with great leaders. We have praise songs and elder people still attend. We have drums, guitars afull band so I can't relate to this great falling away and apostate churches so bad people don't want to attend. None of the churches around here have that problem. So it's very hard for me to understand and then maybe I say things that's not accepted. So like MS I won't be posting anymore.
