Lance, your opinion 'you'd need to start with doctrines' is worthless. A 'doctrine' cannot change a wicked sinful heart, a 'tradition' cannot change the sinful heart, nor can confessing sin to mortal men, praying to dead people, eating a wafer manufactured in a plant somewhere far off..."The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it?" Jer. 17:9. Monks fighting are no different than a bar-room brawl, men are just acting out what lies within EVERY human heart, "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies" Mat. 15:19. ONLY GOD can change the sinful heart of man; once one is born again, their thoughts, speech, and actions are changed forevermore. They are a 'new creation in Christ'.

P. Resby- there is powerful truth in your statement, 'the important thing is the washing of the soul by the blood of Christ and the mortifying of the flesh', this is the only baptism that truly saves! Christ baptizes with the Holy Spirit, this is the baptism that truly counts. 'But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior' Titus 3:4-6

Micheal- I consider you my brother in Christ, and I pray I would never say anything sarcastic or demean you in any way. May we ALL allow the Holy Spirit of the Most High God to teach each one of us, and may we pray for each other instead of resorting to any form of self-righteousness, or holier than thou attitude. We all must remember, it is GOD who reveals His truth to each of us according to His timing, purpose and plan. Let's not get nasty and resort to anger, childish name calling, and the likes when a brother or sister disagrees. Instead, let's pray for each other and remember the command to love one another.
If we want to help a brother or sister in Christ, lift them to the Lord in fervent prayer and LOVE them from your heart. We must stop attacking each other and fighting amongst ourselves, let us proclaim the gospel to those who are lost in sin, praying they may be saved. This is God-honoring, and accomplishes His purpose and plan which is fulfilling.

Keeping the focus solely on the power of the gospel, this comes from Paul Washer's article in the latest edition of Heartcry magazine entitled 'An impossible yet powerful gospel'; 'The scriptures teach that man cannot come to God because he will not come to God, and he will not come to God because his heart is evil. Jesus taught this truth in John 3:19-20, 'this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear his deeds will be exposed'. The walls of depravity around the heart of a man are much stronger and thicker than those that surrounded Jericho.'
Rather than argue over things too lofty for the human mind to fully understand, let's pray for one another and proclaim this powerful gospel to a lost world. God bless all who are in Christ

So you are saying one can be 'born again' yet reject God's truth. One can uphold the shedding of innocent blood{prov. 6:17}, and sodomy {Lev. 18:22}, yet be in Christ? Are you absolutely sure about that?
"If you love me, you will OBEY what I command" John 14:15
"Whoever has my commands and OBEYS them, he is the one who loves Me." John 14:21
"If anyone loves Me, he will OBEY my teaching" John 14:23
"He who does NOT love me will NOT OBEY my teaching" John 14:24
"Keep my decrees and laws, for the man who OBEYS them will LIVE BY THEM. I am the Lord" Leviticus 18:6
It is apparent, Vogue, according to scripture, Obama is in direct violation of God's word. Still think he is 'born again'? Some will toss truth to the wind for the satisfaction of the flesh.

John Y. -ask yourself that as you head for mass.
'Be ye not unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?'

Vogue, quit avoiding the question, do YOU think Barack Obama is a born again Christian, if so based on what? Unless I say 'I supported Bush and McCain', you have no right to make that accusation. I NEVER made that claim, I follow Christ.
Again, I ask, do YOU think Barack Obama is a blood bought, saved by God's grace, born again, regenerated in his heart Christian?

BinB-First of all, let me state I was not sure what a zionist was until I did a little research, so obviously your accusation is without merit. I did not trust your definition, so that prompted further investigation as well. After reading up on the subject, I am compelled to ask, where did you get your definition of zionism?
The Arab/Muslims detest Zionism, is there a reason you use such strong language against it?
The bible commands us to pray for ALL men, whether they be a zionist, muslim, buddhist, or a newly elected African American President.
Please inform us, who do you follow sir?

Banned- your false accusations are unwelcome, how dare you speak for me, claiming to know my inner feelings. You have taken my words and twisted them to fit some concept in your own mind, you are a scary individual sir. I am not a warmonger. Your description of a zionist seems to fit radical Islam. I do not defend the Muslim faith, for it is false, and pray for the salvation of their souls, that hardly sounds like a 'warmonger' to me. I, by the grace of God Almighty, have been saved. I follow the bible, Christ is my Lord and Savior. Again I ask, who do you follow Banned? Again I repeat, you are a scary, unusual character.

Are you saying Barack Obama is a born again Christian? If so, based on what? Are you born again? Do you support a man who opposes God's word? If so, how can you justify being saved? Don't be hypocritical, you cannot serve a Holy God, uphold His laws, bring glory to His name if you throw support behind men who say it's okay to kill unborn children and who say same sex unions are okay. This is the heart of the matter, everything else you throw out is just to avoid this critical issue.

Vogue- as expected, you resort to the usual tactic of insulting others who don't agree with your thinking. I will not stoop to your level and will bow out graciously... Good night.

Banned, where did Iran's leader and the Muslim nations express their desire for peace? Why do you defend the Muslim faith, which does NOT follow the word of the God of the bible? This is a Christian website, most who post here follow Jesus Christ, who do you follow banned?

Banned- What are you talking about?!? Where in my post did I condone war with the Muslims? You need to slow down...read what people post a little more carefully before you go off on people.
My heart's desire is for the return of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died and gave Himself for me, and rose from the dead; there will NEVER be peace until He comes.

Banned,- Have you read the news stories all across the internet on Muslim countries rejoicing over Obama's victory? There is a story at Fox news concerning Iran's Ahmadinejad, for the first time since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, an Iranian leader has offered well wishes to a U.S. president-elect. There is a much deeper issue concerning Barack Obama; uniformed, uneducated, unbelieving voters refused to listen to the warnings, and now America is barreling into very perilous, dark and evil times. Through it all I pray, 'thy will be done'.

John Y.- you fail to understand, the RCC worship is ritualistic, man-made, it is empty worship. We are called to worship God in spirit and truth, but how can you do that when truth is not given? You must worship from your heart, that is not possible in a dead church because Christ is not present. Please understand, quit dividing everything and labeling, RCC and Protestantism. There are only 2 kinds of people in the world John, the truly born again, regenerated in their heart, mind, and soul by Christ and baptized with the Holy Spirit [evidenced in a changed life}; and the lost. Please don't be fooled into thinking you can cleave to what God abhors and He be 'ok' with it. Find yourself a bible believing, bible teaching church and flee from the false traditions of Roman Catholicism. And please, don't form your own god!! Your words, 'I believe' do just that. I sincerely pray for you John Y.

Vogue-do you read your own posts? You said,'you guys are amazing, especially the few who claim to have x-ray vision that they can determine if one is a Christian.' Then you decide who is a Christian with your comment, 'it could be that many of you are not genuine in your faith.' Contrary to what you say, Christ teaches us that indeed, you can tell a true believer by their fruit. Bush, McCain, and Obama do not bear any fruit in keeping with repentance, and should not be upheld or defended by true believers. It is impossible to belong to Christ and support murder, sodomy, and unity with false religions. Rather than go round and round over mortal men who are lost in sin, why don't we who do belong to Christ do what the bible commands? "Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations" Luke 24:47

So they dump their stance on abortion for unity? This is like following the wind, changing what one professes to believe in favor of moral majority. "So then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth" Rev. 3:16
This solidifies, once again, the flimsy, apostate RCC beliefs. We are to hate what God hates, and God hates SIN. God hates murdering unborn children, God hates sexual immorality, God hates idolatry, serving other gods, greed, lust, pride, etc. NEVER does God call us to unite with those who condone what He has said in His word is sin.
"Everything isn't falling apart, it's falling into place" -the late Ruth Bell Graham

Nathan, will all due respect, if you are speaking to me, number one, you do not know what I believe, I did not state my beliefs! I merely stated preacher's view was his opinion. I prefer to keep my views to myself, allowing the Spirit to teach, and my Pastor. God bless.

Preacher, your view is your opinion, and it is just that, an 'opinion'.
