I find it hard to believe that wicked men could make a good choice. Anyway, it is interesting to do a word study on chose, chosen, predestined. Jesus said "you did not choose me, but I chose you" in John 15:16.
I don't understand the negative comments on this. There is nothing wrong with praying in public. The portion of Matthew has to do with WHY they are praying in public, not THAT they are praying in public.
If you are a need for prayer while out in the public and respond immediately, is that wrong?
Just because they prayed in public doesn't mean it was a "publicity stunt", and I think they should be given the benefit of thr doubt unless there is reason to suggest otherwise.
I have never been a big poll fan. It seems to me they can be too easily manipulated. Then, after obtaining the results the pollsters want, they release the numbers in an attempt to FORM public opinion rather than reflect it.
The teaching of purgatory is just another twist on Universalism.
It also claims that God is not just. You enter into purgatory requiring a certain amount of punishment to be purged of your sin. If that requirement is not met, i.e. it is shortened by prayer, then God is not just.
In true Christianity the punishment we deserve was meted out on Christ.
This is just another attempt to discount the Bible and weaken it's influence. âI wanted something that would be absolutely welcoming and accessible to anybody whether they have any religious background or interest. Weâre gonna meet on open, shared, common historical grounds.â
It's good to see someone from higher education come oit with a book against this pc nonsense. Now he kust needs to try to protect himself from being vilified by all the coolaid drinkers he is speaking against.
I don't see how someone could call having a baby punishment.(although sometimes raising them seems to be.lol)
Furthermore, why are people so willing to abandon their responsibility? Just like calling using contraceptives being responsible. Contraceptives are for the express purpose of avoiding responibility. How is it that I am a part of mankind yet cannot understand mankind?
*[[Gal 2:21]] KJV* I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
So if righteousness does not come by the law, how does ot come?
*[[Phi 3:8]] KJV* Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, *[[Phi 3:9]] KJV* And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
