Mike wrote: “Celibacy as cause of homosexuality, pedophilia, etc. is bogus, etc." ******* Mike, while celibacy may not be the cause, I believe the R.C. priesthood, by it's very nature, (men living with men in a close communal lifestyle) creates an unhealthy environment that both promotes and fosters homosexuality. I believe as well that the routine exposure and ready access R.C. priests have to young pre-teen boys , “altar boys” employed in their service, leads to the abuse of children . . pedophilia. Both homosexuality and pedophilia are perverse and sinful and I believe the celibate priesthood is a safe haven for both perversions. An in-depth website called 'Frightening Gay Statistics' is most informative on this subject. http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Evils%20in%20America/Sodomy/frightening_gay_statistics.htm Excerpt: "Although most homosexual activists publicly deny that they want access to boys, many homosexual groups around the world are working aggressively to lower the age of sexual consent. Their cause is being aided by the professional psychiatric and psychological associations, which have moved n recent years toward normalizing pedophilia, much as they did with homosexuality in the early 1970s." |

John - UK -Some statistics - R. C. priesthood: Richard Sipe, a psychotherapist and former priest, has studied celibacy, chastity, and sexuality in the priesthood for four decades. He has authored three books on the topic. He once estimated that 30% of the priesthood is homosexually oriented. 5) Elsewhere, he is quoted as estimating that between 25% and 45% of American priests are homosexual in orientation. 6) He told the Boston Globe: "If they were to eliminate all those who were homosexually oriented, the number would be so staggering that it would be like an atomic bomb; it would do the same damage to the church's operation...It would mean the resignation of at least a third of the bishops of the world. And it's very much against the tradition of the church; many saints had a gay orientation, and many popes had gay orientations. #5 "Gay Priests," Religion & Ethics Newsweekly, 2002-MAY-10, at: http://www.pbs.org/ #6 Barbara Walters, "Priests with AIDS: Crisis within [sic] Catholic church," 20/20, at: http://abcnews.go.com/ |

John UK wrote: June, I'm sure Richard Bennett's articles, preaching etc. will be very informed, and very instructive......absolutely. However, to claim that those who "burn" rather than "marry" will turn into sodomites, perverts or paedophiles, is plainly overstating a very good point. Did Paul never "burn"? Did Christ never suffer "temptation"? And if God in his omniscience did a survey amongst his people worldwide, would he not find many who suffer sexual deprivation yet who do not turn into perverts or sodomites????? The very thought is preposterous! Sure, if mankind goes against God's blueprint for life, it can only expect a higher degree of depravity, not a depravity from a position of normality. ******** John / Mike . . my brothers in Christ, you have both made some very good points and I will ponder them and pray for discernment. Do either of you take exception to my original comment . . my words . . namely, The false church of ROME whose hierarchy is occupied by unmarried men, predominantly practicing homosexuals (Lev. 18:22; 1 Tim. 4:3; 1 Cor. 7:9), and presumptuously acts contrary to the qualifications that God has expressly revealed in his word (1 Tim. 4:2) for those who rule in the church, is in the grip of Satan. |

John - UK wrote:What about Christians who are single? ******* John, you have taken what Richard Bennett has said with respect to the imposed celibacy by the false church of ROME on their priests out of context. As we read in: "1 Cor. 7:9 "But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn." Neither R. Bennett nor I am arguing against the single / celibate life. Apparently Paul was able to contain himself, but it is equally apparent and painfully clear as evidenced by the ongoing clergy abuse scandal that the "priests of ROME" cannot! God's Word in 1 Tim. 4:1-3 in the plainest of terms denounces those who "forbid to marry", calling such a constraint, a "doctrine of devils", but then what can we expect from that which is the very seat of the antichrist! |

Nothing authentic about the false church of ROME! In the face of their feigned public apologies & tearful SHOWS of remorse over the clergy abuse scandal, this article exposes what the pope & his devotees do in secret & the arrogant nature of these so-called "princes of the church" What a mockery they make of Christ's religion! Galatians 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked:" ********** Source: Herald.i.e. - Dublin, Ireland Birthday party a sick parody of Last Supper The Pope's recent birthday party was held in the magnificent Ducal Hall in the Apostolic Palace. Aged silk-clad technicoloured prelates, including Boston's notorious Cardinal Law, made it a parody of the Last Supper. On the Pope's right: Cardinal Sodano, Dean of the Sacred College. In a fawning address, he spoke of the Pope as the victim of "chiacchiericcio", Italian for tittle-tattle. When he was Secretary of State, Sodano convinced John Paul that Mexican priest Fr Maciel, founder of the Legionaries of Christ, was a saint. In fact, he was a complete fraud and a monster of carnality. A serial adulterer, he fathered up to six children and abused a huge number of seminarians. His own son said he sexually abused him for years. ******** Link: http://www.herald.ie/lifestyle/birthday-party-a-sick-parody |

A Word in Season from Gospel Minister Shaun Willcock: .As increasing numbers of conservative Anglicans realise that their “church” is in freefall, appointing priestesses, bishopesses and sodomites, they cast about for a “church” which presents an image to the world of stability, immutability, and steadfastness, and moreover one which looks as much like their own “church” as possible; and inevitably their eyes come to rest on Rome. It is a false image, but Rome has successfully conned much of the world, and much of the professing “Church”. . Anglicans need to hear the true Gospel of Jesus Christ! They are deluded. Like the Roman Catholic people, they belong to a religious institution which falsely calls itself a Christian church. They are floundering because they are not founded upon the Word of God, the Bible. Their priests and priestesses are blind leaders of the blind. Those who hear the voice of Christ in His Word, and who feel the pricks of conscience, and come under conviction of sin, must forsake this false religious harlot, and turn to Christ for salvation. 'All the Pope's Priests?' . . the movie . . coming soonSource: The Washington Post Link: http://newsweek.washingtonpost.com/onfaith/undergod/2010/04/clergy_sex_abuse_the_movie.html Clergy sex abuse: The movie By William Wan As the clerical abuse scandal continues to spread across Europe and South America, this Interesting tidbit came across the wire this morning: The group of Boston Globe reporters who reported the story on the U.S. scandals in 2002 just inked a deal with movie producers. According to Deadline New York, the film being developed would be in the vein of All the President's Men , the story following Post reporters Woodward and Bernstein as they pieced together the burglary coverup by Nixon and company. Interestingly, Post editor Ben Bradlee -- who oversaw Woodward and Bernstein's work and provided key drama to the movie version (portrayed by Jason Robards) -- has a son Ben Bradlee, Jr., who worked on the Globe's priest investigation. Bradlee Jr. is one of the journalists who will be cooperating with movie. |

From article: "Simply click on the church and icon you want, type in your credit card or PayPal information — each candle costs about $2" **** A desperate marketing tool to boost revenue in the "false church" whose membership is dwindling! **** RELATED: The Vatican's Pedophilia Scandal Catholics in crisis Source: THE WEEK http://theweek.com/article/index/202388/Catholics_in_crisisReeling from sex-abuse scandals, the Roman Catholic Church is losing members in droves. How severe is the crisis? It’s “the largest institutional crisis in centuries, possibly in church history,” says the National Catholic Reporter. Worldwide, the Roman Catholic Church now has 1.1 billion members, compared with 1.5 billion Muslims and 593 million Protestants. In the U.S., all the major denominations have seen their numbers decline in recent years, but the Catholic Church has taken the biggest hit. Since the 1960s, four American-born Catholics have left the church for every one who has converted, according to a 2009 Pew study. In 2008 alone, Catholic membership declined by 400,000. More than 1,000 parishes have closed since 1995, and the number of priests has fallen from about 49,000 to 40,000 during that same period. Some 3,400 Catholic parishes in the U.S. now lack a resident priest. |

FACTS the Vatican not too keen on publishing:Source: Dispatch Online More ripples appear for Catholic Church 2010/04/29 THE paedophile priests scandal shredding the Catholic Church’s reputation worldwide has been especially savage in Latin America, where half the religion’s faithful live. Ecclesiastical authorities from the region have either been begging for forgiveness as they tried to reassure their nervous flock – or echoing the Holy See’s line that the Catholic Church was being persecuted by some mysterious forces. Colombian cardinal Dario Castrillon, for instance, said he would “never” regret his support for a French bishop who did not denounce a pederast priest, and claimed Freemasonry was behind a smear campaign. “I’m not afraid to say that in some cases there are, within the Masons, enemies united against the Church,” said the cardinal, who was appointed by the late Pope John Paul II. Deliver us from evil . . RELATED: Source: Radio Netherlands Link: http://www.rnw.nl/english/article/church-hush-money-paedophile-ex-priestChurch 'hush money' for paedophile ex-priest Published on : 28 April 2010 - 3:53pm | By Marijke Peters Oliver O’Grady, the ex-Irish priest convicted of paedophile offences who was living under a false identity in the Netherlands until February this year, receives a monthly pension from the Roman Catholic church, it has been revealed. A US lawyer who represented O’Grady’s victims says the former cleric brokered a “sinister deal” in which he refused to testify against senior church officials at his child sex abuse trial in return for cash. Lawyer Jeff Anderson told Radio Netherlands Worldwide that Oliver O’Grady was offered the money by senior members of his diocese the night before a civil trial to determine what they had known about his abuse. As a result, he never testified in court against bishop Roger Mahony – now the Archbishop of Los Angeles – who was later found by the jury to have known all along about O’Grady’s abuse, but did nothing about it. |

More credible stats:Source: The Local – Germany's News in English / Published: 23 Apr 10 'Catholics ready for Church exodus, poll finds' Link: http://www.thelocal.de/society/20100423-26739.html Nearly a quarter of Germany’s 25 million Catholics are considering turning their backs on their Church in the wake of the child abuse scandals, a survey published Friday found. The poll of more than 1,000 Catholics by the Forsa Institute published by daily Bild, found 23 percent of Church members said they were thinking of leaving. Even among those who described themselves as devout, 19 percent were considering walking away, the poll found. The disillusionment was felt most deeply by younger Catholics. Among those aged 18 to 29, just over a third (34 percent) were thinking of quitting. Some 28 percent of those aged 30 to 44 were considering walking away, as were 32 percent of 45 to 59-year-olds and 6 percent of those aged 60 or older. |

RELATED . . Source: TIMES ONLINE Pope may 'apologise' for child abuse scandals, says Levada / April 28, 2010 Cardinal William Levada, head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, has indicated that the Pope may apologise to victims of paedophile priests in June. Read the full transcript of his interview with Margaret Warner of PBS Newshour. Margaret asked: 'There are reports that the pope is going to make a general apology next June. A public apology at the conclusion of a Jubilee here, are those accurate? And if so what kind of apology?' Cardinal Levada responded: 'You know I'm not a good prophet. The Pope, he's Pope, and I'm the head of this congregation. I tell him what I'm doing but he doesn't tell me everything he is going to do, so whether he is going to do that or not we'll have to wait and see but I wouldn't be surprised.' He also indicated that he believes the sexual revolution of the 1960s is partly to blame for the crisis: Full article here: http://timescolumns.typepad.com/gledhill/2010/04/pope-may-apologise-for-child-abuse-scandals-says-levada.html |

As the Priestly Sex Abuse Scandal Grows . . Is the Pope of Rome Guilty? by: Shaun Willcock http://www.biblebasedministries.co.uk/category/rome/ "And Yet – the Whore’s Sins Are Open to the World As Never Before! What is amazing – and wonderful – to see, however, in all of this, is how people all over the world have now had their eyes opened to what Roman Catholicism is like on the inside! Just a few short years ago, Christians who spoke up against Popery, & described its sins & crimes, were viewed as religious bigots, “Catholic-haters”, evangelical “conspiracy nuts”. The Papacy really is a vast cesspool of iniquity, after all! It is the most vile institution to ever disgrace the face of the earth. It is, truly, “the habitation of devils, & the hold of every foul spirit, & a cage of every unclean and hateful bird” (Rev. 18:2). True Christians must pray for the Roman Catholic people, and preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to them. That false, hypocritical mask of piety worn by this Mother Whore must be ripped off, so that the world can see her for what she really is, & what she has really done & continues to do every single day, behind closed doors. May the Lord hasten the day when this Babylonian strumpet on the seven hills will be no more!" |

Mike, Dawkins denies the existence of God and such men God calls “fools” (Ps.14:1)As S.Willcock has said: “Yes, a man may deny the Lord by denying His existence; but he may also deny Him, by apostacy — a departure from the truth! This is very plain from such Scriptures as Matt.10:33, Tit.1:16, and 2 Tim.3:5. Men who in any way deny the truth regarding Christ are Antichrists; and the pope of Rome is the supreme Antichrist, for no one denies the divine truth regarding Christ as he does. The Antichrist, then, far from being an atheist, a Communist, a Jew or a Muslim, is one who claims to be the chief of all Christians, the Vicar of Christ, in fact he reaches the height of blasphemy & claims to be Christ Himself! Consider the following: Pius IX was described as "the living Christ", and "the Lamb of the Vatican". And in a speech, he said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." Pius X said: "The Pope...is Jesus Christ Himself, hidden under the veil of flesh." Pius XI, on 30 April 1922, in the Vatican throne room, said: "You know that I am the Holy Father, the representative of God on the earth, the Vicar of Christ, which means that I am God on the earth." The Roman Catholic theologian, Thomas Aquinas, said: "There is no difference between the Pope & Jesus Christ" |
