Concerning Greg Price.
We have listened to a number of his sermons.While we do not find biblical support for some of the positions that he holds, all and all he is a good expositor of the Scriptures.
One particular sermon that he gave recently on the Book of Acts concerning tongues was quite edifying.
He seems to have a humble and a teachable spirit which is so refreshing in these dark apostate days.
Would recommend him as he glorifies and exhalts the Lord Jesus Christ, and humbles the pride of man.

Passages like Romans 14:1~15:13 and 1 Cor. 8-10 instruct us to:
(1) receive other Christians and not make differences about diets and special days a test of fellowship or spirituality;
(2) avoid being a stumbling block to others;
(3) seek to build one another up in Christian maturity;
(4) avoid being obstinate and defensive about our own personal convictions so that they become a cause of disunity.

Our personal family conviction is total abstinence, but we do not make it a test of fellowship or spirituality.
Other Christians who do not share our convictions have respected us because we respected them and tried to manifest Christian love.

Christians everywhere should deplore drunkenness, but not all agree on total abstinence...

Proverbs 20:1 doesn't prove abstinence. I think we've exhausted this subject - at least I have. I'm done.
Proverbs 20:1 nor Matthew 5:19 prove abstinence.

B. Mc
What a sad commentary this has proven to be.
Let us seek to help each other all we can, but let us leave Christ to judge us.He only has the capacity as He only has the right to do so.

Let us perform what we are assured to be our duty and leave others to do likewise: thereby the rights of the individual are preserved and the peace of the community promoted.

Like Rodney I'm done.

Dorcas:
You might like to consider this to decide on the relevance of what you call ‘a secondary issue’.
http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=9160116324
It comes along with some interesting statistics and with 'simple' argumentation for godliness

Regards[/QUOTE]Very surprised B. by your militant attitude on what is CLEARLY a secondary issue.
You have not proved your point from scripture to all us 'simple' folk.
Take care.

Different opinions on secondary issues are to be expected...
"touch not; taste not; handle not"
If one is satisfied that they may enjoy a glass of wine/beer and have Divine warrant to do so and another is convinced that it is devoid of Divine authority, then let each one act from their conviction and not alow the fear of censure from or the contempt of others to deter them.

Each Christian is responsible to believe and act according to the best light which they have from God, and continue to examine His Word and pray for more light.

The dictates of conscience are not to be trifled with, and the right of private judgment is ever to be exercised and respected by all.

My small mite.

Wine, in the Bible, was a symbol of joy, when it was rightly used.
But let's not overlook the fact that it is also used as a symbol of the judgement of God.

Revelation 14:10..."The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God"...,,

moses,
Wine to the excess is a mocker. We have seen Christ give the disciples wine to drink, now, if it were not biblical, then our Lord would never have given His disciples fermented drink if it were a mocker. Those who oppose drinking even a glass of wine have no scriptural support for their view, it is of their opinion only. We cannot force others to go by what our conscience says isn't good for us. Some may have a glass of fermnented wine, as for me, I cannot. But, I will not force others to adhere to that. Alcohol was a stumbling block for me; we all have our weaknesses that the enemy of our souls preys upon and we must be on our guard against those weaknesses, but we must not impose our weaknesses on others.
Amen ladybug.
Always remembering: "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God".

It's good that you're keeping count. Would that you kept count of euro-kills as well. It's also good that you see the gun itself cannot be the issue.
But you really must control your urge to identify all 300 million+ Americans with criminals and lunatics. Tempting, I know, but when these urges come upon you, get yourself a cup of coffee, and stop doing what our president, and other liberals do.
