Just a guy, when Paul and Silas were put in jail, they were singing hymns and praying at Midnight and it mentioned that the other prisoners were listening to them and pretty amazed that they weren’t complaining and arguing with each other about whose fault it was they wound up in jail in the first place. No they were singing and trusting God with their lives and making the best out of a bad situation. An earthquake shook the jail so hard that chains fell off and the prison doors opened and that’s when the jailer thought the prisoners had fled and pulled a sword out to kill himself ! That’s when Paul cried out with a loud voice to not harm himself because all the prisoners were still there. Amazing Grace.

Acts 16;28 But Paul cried with a loud voice “Do not harm yourself, for we are all here “vs29 And the jailer called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas.vs30 Then he brought them out and said “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
vs31 And they said,” Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”vs 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
vs 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds and he was baptized at once, he and all his family. I’m assuming you know this story, if not I suggest you read the whole chapter and be blessed at how God could save and change this jailer’s life.

Agree, John and so unbelievable that it is happening in our schools of all places. Every day it seems on the headlines that some small child has been abused physically (even killed by parents) or sexually by adults. Even to the point of one woman being accused of sex trafficking. Had her ugly picture plus the four sick men involved on front page of our newspaper. Now, they are being bombarded with this at a very young age. Basically as a child I was told not to talk to strangers and it put enough fear in me to see danger in that. Told my kids the same thing. If someone needs directions to some place they could ask an adult!! Usually it’s a step parent that does the molesting while the parent allows it, but not always.

Right now he has support from the evangelical group and he realizes how much he needs that support. He really loves America and it is a disturbing thought for a power hungry Democratic whoever gets President. Christians need to pray that the right person for our nation be put in office.

So true JohnUk, unbelievable how the world is turning now and you’re so right that no matter what his beliefs, if he is a blood bought child of God, he can rejoice in his trials and tribulations because God will take care of him. We rejoice because we are counted worthy to suffer for His name and His cause.

Hi John, a million, I think or close to it. Just got another news flash a second ago and it reported that President Trump called off the strikes against Iran 10 minutes before. Since no casualties were involved and it would be if they retaliated. But unless negotiations fail and then we’ll see. He needs our prayers and we need to be united as a nation.

There was a news flash a few minutes ago, that a Navy drone was shot down by an Iranian missile. Our nation and Trump need our prayers, instead of the division we are seeing now in our country.

All comments have been so inspiring to me and uplifting. I too, have noticed that very few comment on these posts but get a doctrinal post going and it’s all out war. I am a Christian serving God in a Baptist Church. My grandson raised Baptist, is youth Pastor of his wife’s denomination Presbyterian and we all love each other and get along great. We are Republicans and my daughter and their family Democrats. No argument between us. About politics or religion.
My family laughs a lot and we have a great sense of humor and I thought of that scripture in proverbs that says, a merry heart does good like a medicine. I was so down once and my husband went hunting even while being so sick. Someone made a snarky remark about hunting for the sport of it and how horrible that was! Then the fun began when you guys started making jokes about how deer were so dangerous and the hunters had to hunt from deer stands. I laughed so much and my heart was so merry and I loved you all so much because you made me feel so special! And he did get two deer 😄

Gay, I am so sorry that you won’t be posting much anymore and I do understand your problem. My sister died from Alzheimer’s, and a few Uncles and I am aware of what it can do. I enjoy the fellowship as well, minus a few. Will be praying for you and your family. Much love in Christ.

After thought on this is that during the time of Hilter’s evil reign Bibles were taken away from those going into the death camps. Through a miracle Corrie Ten Boon was able to hide hers from the guards. And what a help she was to the other prisoners and encouragement. I have a memory problem at times but so strange how my memories of scriptures that have been read will come to mind when needed to help someone or explain something or just whenever in a discussion. It never ceases to amaze me.

I have read the KJV for so long that I still use thou and thee and add th to the ending of words that the correct speller on my IPhone has given up on trying to help me out on here.

I was thinking along the same lines, trying. Pray for those in persecution now because it’s slowly beginning to happen here as well . Christians are under fire now and it is going to only get worse. We need to work while it’s still day before the night cometh when no man can work.

I just finished the sermon by Steve Lyon on here called Boundaries and it was something that I found helpful. I will listen to part 2 and part 3. Thanks Trying for the information. Blessings.
I agree Tim, that’s why I don’t interact with certain ones. It does no good whatsoever. So I say whatever and leave it for whoever to take or leave.

Amen to all three posts and so thankful that we have people like Franklin Graham to be an encouragement in what happened on that football ball. God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. The devil knows he has a short time left and he goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

Btw, that was in response to LB challenging someone to show her one scripture where Jesus loved sinners. That is interesting since the Pharisees condemned Jesus because He ate with sinners !! And he won them with His love for them. Some of the people that the Spirit has sent for me to witness to were first a person I had befriended. I didn’t have a relationship so to speak because I was never able to until they became a Christian as a result of my witness. You can’t be or do the things they can do. It’s called being led of the Spirit.

God loved the rich young ruler and was saddened when he walked away because he loved his riches more than Christ.
He loved the woman caught in adultery and saved her from the murderous crowd.
He loved Matthew, the hated tax collector that was taking money from the Jews.
He told Nicodemous to climb down from the tree and come eat with him.
That was one of the things that the Pharisees accusation included he ate with sinners!!
One He ate with was Mary from whom He had cast out 7 demons and was condemned because he allowed her to pour expensive oil on his head. Another Mary washed his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair.
Paul on his way to Damascus to bring Christians to be jailed. Jesus appeared to him and saved him and sent him to be a witness to the Gentiles. Interesting story of how this came about and how he was sent to Barnabus first. Can’t help but see the irony of that as later they had a falling out over his nephew, John Mark.
These are just some that the Holy Spirit brought to mind maybe you can think of others. God has two sides love and wrath like the story I told about the drowning boy. Things I don’t understand I leave in the hands of my loving Savior and go about my business of helping others find His love as well.
