Malachi mentions tithes AND OFFERINGS.Question: since greedy people like to throw out tithing, saying it is OT, does that include offerings? Malachi said Israel has robbed God in Tithes AND offerings. Is tithing required? NO - keep your grubby money God gave you breath and health to get - he doesn't need it. So what did Jesus do with tithing? The same thing he did with all of the law - REQUIRE MORE! EVERYTHING belongs to God! And if you have a Church you don't want to give to - find another one. It usually comes down to simple greed and LACK OF FAITH. Jesus said "give" and it shall be given unto you... This word GIVE doesn't refer to money. It applies to EVERYTHING. Kenny - only 12 apostles - the pastor is not an apostle. |

Great Sermon! IT is sad that most churches are government run. It is sad that churches are church INC. |

Lisa - the word "fellowheirs" indicates two (or more) separate entities. All that verse means is that we have access to Christ through the Gospel, just like the J-ws ( ) did.AND,what about the believers that were called Christians frist at Antioch? Why were they called that? And why didn't they get up and scream "I am not a Christian"? But, I'm sure you're not a Christian, because the word Christian means "little christ". You are blinded by your pride, and are vainly trying to keep the law, as to salvation, which is impossible, and is a slap in the face to the one who shed his blood to purchase you. "I keep the 10 Commandments..." and don't cop-out with the parenthesis, because you're saying when you don't keep them, it's because the spirit didn't help you. I have tried not to reply to many of your comments, but the more I read the the more bewildered I become. You, Lisa, have some seriously flawed ideas, and I think you like the feeling (although usually subconscience) of being different from the "mainstream", which makes you feel superior and like the only one who "get's it." Hey, I know because I was the same way until God cut the legs off of my pedestal and I saw who I really was - a very religious lost man. It was pride...end of story. |

28As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. Serious question: does anyone know why there is a distinction here between the Gospel, and the election? Another question: Notice what Paul said - 13For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 14If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. Someone questioned Yamil about getting someone saved (reminding him only God does that - which we know), so what did Paul mean? One more thing: 18Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. Is it not true that the branches (gentiles) were grafted into the root, because the old branches were broken off? Who is the root? |

DJC49 - you said: "I also pray that JD's evangelizing results in NO false or shallow professions of faith which might very well result in their having obtained just enough "religion" so as to inoculate and seal them, temporarily, from the Truth."Who cares if the elect will be saved anywway. "Evangelization is very serious stuff." Again - why? You sound like man has the ability to thwart God's plan. Maybe it's not salvation your worried about but that people might be lead away from Calvinism. |
