Yeah, I have a problem with Call of duty, Grand Theft Auto, etc. but Pong, Missile Command, Pac-Man, etc. and the earlier versions of Mario, Star Fox, Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, etc. are pretty good games.Although I would think that PETA would have a problem with Mario... he’s a plumber that smashes turtles by jumping on them and he hurts fish. 🐢🐠 |

This is my last comment. I don’t have a command to wear a suit, or tie. Where is the command? You can try to extrapolate it out of the OT commands that were given to a specific people, and apply that principal to a somewhat modern set of garments (17th century) of which we call a suit, but the connection is clearly lacking. If a position has to commit logical fallacies category errors, unsupported conclusions, and some unusual statements about what a t shirt represents, I’ll stay clear of that position. But in case you’re wondering, when I teach at my church, or another church, or when I sing in the choir, I do “give up” my Christian liberty and wear a suite. @Wayfarer, I’m 23...are you trying to say something about me? 😀 |

“The t-shirt still remains an item belonging to a frivolous life style, representing a sloppy, do-it-your-own-way philosophy, which does not necessarily represent biblical value or terms.”No it does not. T-shirts are a garment that covers you. If someone were to ask me why I wear a shirt, it’s because I don’t want to go around shirtless. Or as someone once said, “Modesty is the best policy.” In fact, your statement is subjective, not objective, you have no facts supporting your position it is simply your personal opinion that you think to be true. But in your example of the priests, again there’s another category error, they were commanded to do it. Jesus, the great high priest, never wore it. The apostles probably weren’t decked out in the fanciest garb. |

@Adriel, I don’t know where you live, but I live in California, but I hope you’re praying for the Christians in California, and for the souls of people in California. And as far as Romans 1:26, that was happening when Paul wrote the book and before he wrote the book. I assume you live in a land where adultery, fornication, pornography, are not only legal, but also rampant. And might I add that if the Holy Spirit was not restraining evil, every nation would be worse than California. |

@John, I thought you were a KJVonlyist, especially since the argumentation you utilized was much like the KJVonly camp, and your answers were like KJVonlyists, so it's easy how people could misidentify your position. Furthermore, the article you directed me to says that the KJV is the Bible that God gave to America. Another trademark of KJVonlyism. But I should've asked what your position really is.And there's more than those three that the article mentioned, but since you're not a classic KJVonlyist it kinda is a point not worth pursuing (in my opinion), I recommend the KJVonly controversy by James White, unfortunately I can't spend anymore time on this, whether or not you'll see it as a retreat I don't know, but I've got a lot of catching up to do, I'm teaching a class this Sunday, I have to catch up on my personal studies, and I am putting together a series for my church, so I have a lot to do and I can't spend anymore time on this. Thanks for spending time on this issue, I hope you have a good weekend, and may God's blessing be on your life. BTW, I think Benjamin thought you represent the views of Dr. Sam Gipp |
