djc49,

Picking a fight, are you?

If the KJV is so old, inaccurate and corrupt; then why are there hundreds of new versions(All of them proclaiming to update the old classic KJV and having the latest discoveries and modern readability)?

Since when are sins and evil, the same thing? Explain.

Maybe, if these money grubbing and corrupt churches had adhered to a KJV Bible, they wouldn't be in the position that are in.

BTW, When you mention the greek, be honest. You mean the westcott and hort text.

1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Luk 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Swine flu - Mexicans
Bird flu - Chinese
Plague - Europeans (Killed more American Indians than warfare)

Why blame these individual groups for these diseases, when we are all to blame. Remember, it all comes from the fall of Adam. We as Christians should not blame or fear such things.

I, for one am not going to let the government dictate to me, how to run my household. You can't do this, you can't do that. There will be no immunizations here.

Maybe even execute you as they would all Christians. The day will come.

I like this one Hidemi, quite concise and nothing extra-biblical, nothing vague or speculative. Is there a link so I can have a look at the whole confession? I believe this is the one confession which includes the purpose of the church - evangelism.
Good morning John UK,

I like this one too. I use this one for myself with some minor adjustments.

www.reformedreader.org/ccc/1833newh.htm

Sometimes I am astounded by how complicated theologians have made Bible study. Who can understand some of what they are saying.

BTW, How much do you sell your paintings for? Grace Darling rescue attempt is very nice. I dabble in pastels myself.

Have a blessed day.

I have revised my link. Try the Philadelphia Confession of 1742.

New Hampshire Confession of Faith 1833

We believe that there is one, and only one, true and living God; that He is absolute in nature, perfect in
attributes, holy in character, the maker and supreme ruler
of heaven and earth; that He is infinite in wisdom, marvelous in power, and amazing in love; that He is holy,
righteous, and true, worthy of all confidence and love;
that He unites in Himself the infinite, the eternal, and the
Almighty Three — God the Father, God the Son, and
God the Holy Spirit; that the three persons of the Godhead
subsist in the same divine nature, essence and being;
and that they are co-extent and co-equal in every divine
attribute, each one executing distinct but harmonious
offices in the great work of redemption.

Suddenly there are people here playing pathetic games and showing the worldliness of their hearts.

Remember there are weaker and new Christians here who need to learn the Truth. What kind of example are we setting.

John UK,

You have some beautiful watercolors. Love them.

I don't agree with Mormon doctrine, but to lock them up?!?! What's gotten into you, Mr. Yurich? I guess religious freedom is not something you care for...the Bible according to you and nothing else, lock all the others up. Is this what you are implying? Would you like to be locked up for what you believe? Just because it is not "correct" or according to your opinion is not justification to lock them up.
Hello Faithful Remnant,

Locking people up is the RCC way of doing things Nothing new about his attitude. It is all insane and psychotic.

This ranks up there with "gay marriage" and other perversions practiced.

Rom 2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

Biblicist wrote:
No Hidemi that is not what I mean.
The visible Churches are particular Churches, over whom the Lord is the immediate head.
But there is another aspect of the Church's existence which is expressed by the term Catholic. Catholicity refers to the universality of the church. A church that is spread through all the world.
Did you know that 7 of the epistles in the NT were called the Catholic Epistles? They were not addressed to any individual church but were intended for all churches viz. James, I and II Peter, I, II, and III John, and Jude.
Thank you for the clarification.

1John describes Jesus as the Christ that came in the flesh and the need for faith in this. In other words Jesus as man and God that made atonement for men. So, the RCC is true, but Mormons and 7th day are not (as they deny the trinity). An example of a megachurch would be Harvest in Riverside CA. I dont agree with Greg Laurie on many things, but the basics are right.
I agree with your understanding of 1 John.

I don't agree with your opinion of the RCC.

As far as Greg Laurie is concerned, I've listened to his show on the radio broadcast here and like you find disagreement on a lot of things that he says and does.

I don't agree that believing in the Trinity and the basics can produce a sound Christian, there is a lot more than that. So what is your take on modernist and liberal Churches? Let's say, someone like Rick Warren?

My main concern is with the congregation being led captive by seducing and enticing words by these so-called "teachers". How can such a thing as this be justified.
