"The LIBERAL soul shall be made fat,and he that watereth shall be watered unto himself". Proverbs 11:25.

"The vile person shall no more be called LIBERAL nor the churl said to be bountiful." Isaiah 32:5.

"But the LIBERAL devisith LIBERAL things, and by LIBERAL things shall he stand". Isaiah 32:8.

Seems like the Bible (that "liberals" don't believe in) has good things to say about the word "liberal".

Broad generalities are a snare to the user.

"Scornful men bring a city into a snare, but wise men turn away wrath". Prov.29:8

It stands to reason that the percentage of women entering the military are more likely to be lesbians, just as it stands to reason that the percentage of men going into ballet are more likely to be gay. That may offend some. But I believe that the stats will back up this theory.

This shows the extent to which the Republican Party has squandered it's Evangelical support. They have betrayed it, used it, abused it and took it for granted. They thought they could wave the cross of Christ like they waive the American Flag and use it to blind people to an agenda that is less than noble. Is this a reason to vote Democrat? No. But it should wake up anybody who introduces the GOP into the Christian Creeds as an article of faith.

Yeah it's terrible when people twist Scripture and take it out of context to promote a political agenda. Isn't it James? James? James, are you there? Hello James!

Mr. Foxman gives credence to the old Yiddish saying that "when it comes to a battle between gelt and anything else, gelt wins every time".

The extreme Zionist lobby will swallow any insult, any offense, any outrage IF the price is right.

Here's a bulletin for you Daryl: The Jews don't recognize Jesus as God either. Let's see if you have the walnuts to vote against them. I had no idea that pollution from years of burning coal in Butler county had affected the brain cells of it's inhabitants.
Come east to Philadelphia young man. Perhaps we can get you a crash course on religious beliefs at Westminster Theological Seminary.

Dear Angela: You are allowed to preach the Gospel anywhere in Philadelphia, including the Independence National Park, which houses the Liberty Bell. I have engaged in open air evangelism myself. You are not allowed to cross a security line intended to protect the Bell and the tourists. You are also not allowed to harass people who have expressed a desire not to engage you in dialogue. Are you proposing that existing laws designed to protect people and property are to be waived for Christian street evangelists, while being enforced against everyone else in the culture?

If you are visiting a national historic site with your small children, and this is an area that has been warned by Homeland Security that it is a potential target for a terrorist attack, and a group of very forceful proponents of a religious nature get in your face and your children's faces, approaching the site more closely than allowed by law, you cannot say with certainty that because they are saying things you believe in, that this means they are not a threat. In fact a terrorist intent on heaving a grenade would cause less alarm if he were behaving like John the Baptist than if he were acting like Osama bin Laden. Now, get real! The Park Ranger's job is not to discern doctrine, praise the Lord, or condemn sodomy. His job is to protect the site, and the tourists, and the schoolchildren, and that's it. Don't turn these faithful public servants into anti-Christian gestapo. They don't deserve that no matter how much you like Mr. Marcavage's "in your face" brand of street corner evangelism.

Since 911 you can't stir things up at any of Philly's National Historic areas. It has nothing to do with Christianity and it is intellectually dishonest for WND to portray it that way. If it was a Moslem stirring things up, WND would have applauded the actions of the Park Ranger. Let's be fair here. This was a security issue not a religious one.

Mike: You left out some of the most infamous of the "false jesus'".
G.I. jesus.
Gitmo jesus.
Waterboarding jesus.
Zionist jesus.
GOP jesus.
WMD jesus.
Enron jesus.
etc. etc.
It ain't just the left that creates their own jesus.
It ain't just the Papists that create their own jesus.
Any manipulation of the Biblical Jesus for a narrow political or self serving religious promotion is creating a false jesus.

As Luther wrote in describing his famous trip to Rome where he became converted while walking on his knees, "There you can find the relics of thirteen of the twelve apostles!". That comment raised the Papal price on his head. But I don't think Amanda is selling the Great Reformer's head, although the current Pope would probably still like to buy it and place it on a pike as a warning to wayward Augustinian monks.

Let's see now, we blew up Japan and now they own Rockefeller Center and get most of our auto buying dollar. We crushed Germany and they own Chrysler. And now that we are fighting the Arabs, they are buying the Chrysler Building. I'm going to suggest to Governor Rendell of Pennsylvania that he declare seccessionary war on the USA. He can then surrender quickly and during the reconstruction period we can get some rebuilding aid, a visit from some Federal do-gooders and then be a richer Commonwealth than we previously were.
Maybe we can buy some New York real estate ourselves nad rent it out and cut our sales and income taxes.

Jim: For the record, David Brooks is Jewish. This is truly an excellent article full of truth. It shows that the troubles that plague our nation are NOT going to be solved by Republican or Democrat, but by a return to work, thrift, and most of all being content with having what we need and not constantly striving for what we want. Mr. Brooks would stop short of calling this a Biblical idea, but his complimentary application of the "Puritan legacy" indicates that he is at least on the right track.

From the tone of the article it appears that at least some in the SBC equate baptism with salvation. It also appears that some equate being a Republican with salvation. Maybe at the Republican National Convention the SBC can hold a massive baptism. That way they can save the sinner and the country at the same time. After all the Republicans will campaign that "God is on our side" either directly or by innuendo. Of course, we have the problem of the Jewish Neo-Con Zionist lobby at the Republican National convention. They may equate the massive baptism with the attempts of the Crusaders to baptize the Jews or drown them if they refuse. Ah, the perils of works based salvation coupled with political meddling in spiritual matters.

I apologize to anyone that I may have offended. Except the Bushes and Cheyneys and Royal House of Saud of course. Those three entities deserve to be offended vigorously and frequently for their deceit and chicanery.

Jesus said: "As it was in the days of Noah so shall it be when the Son of Man returns." Matt. 24:37.

"And the Lord shut him in". Gen.7:16.

You've got as much chance of e-mailing anybody as Noah had of letting those not elected into the ark.

John 6:40 "And I will raise him (a saved man) on the LAST day.
Ditto John 6:44
Ditto John 6:39
Ditto John 11:24

NOT 1007 years BEFORE the last day.
There are billions of days. But only one first and one last.

"For the HOUR is coming in the which ALL that are in the graves shall hear His voice, And shall come forth, they that have done good unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of the damned". John 5:28,29.

I guess Jesus did not consult with Messers Schofield, and Ryrie, and LeHaye. Oh well, I guess I'll go with Christ on this one!
