Lurker wrote: Right on the mark, Kev. God was lawfully married to both houses of Israel, lawfully divorced them both for adultery and betrothed Himself to another called from among the Gentiles. The Lamb awaits His marriage to His betrothed bride. Now that is not to say that all were cast off forever..... a faithful remnant from both houses has and will repent of her adultery and return to her first husband (Hosea 2:7) and they will be received in mercy. Not that difficult unless one has an agenda.
Exactly! The Bible is clear on the topic. Only if one has an agenda can they not read the clear text.
I didnât want some cheated on husband or wife who decided they wanted a divorce thinking they are in sin. The poor guy/girl has already been cheated on by a person with a hard heart. The hard hearted person was the adulterer not the one cheated on who wants a biblical divorce.
Divorce based on fornication is based more than on these two clear verses:
31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, SAVING for the CAUSE OF FORNICATION, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, EXCEPT it be FOR FORNICATION, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
God said He divorced Israel for adultery! Can you imagine God saying He was involved in something that is considered sinful?
8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of DIVORCE; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
To say there is any sin in divorce when a spouse commits adultery is like saying God sinned! The two verses are clear on the divorce when it pertains to ADULTRY.
Lurker wrote: Sure Kev, When I Am became a mortal man He became the fulfillment of the first temple. He became the reality which casts the shadow (Solomon's temple). After His death and resurrection He ascended to the Father as the new temple, which temple we who are "In Him" are. His crucified body is the temple and we are members of His body, His espoused, His habitation and eternal dwelling place as saith the Psalmist (Ps 132:11ff). So the first temple, mortal Jesus, can't be compared to the last as God did say He dwells not in temples made with hands. You are right, however, that both temples are a picture (shadow) of Jesus but the first (pre-Calvary) was mortal, corruptible (though He saw no corruption unlike the shadow) while the last is immortal, incorruptible and eternal. Hope that helps, bro.
Ok thanks Bro I will research what you said some more. I have never gave this much though. I only lumped both as fulfilled by Christ and interchangeable. Interesting.
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see FOUR MEN loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Christ was in the midst of the flames with His people and was the fulfilment of the prophecy that the Son of God would come in the form of a Man.
Iâd say there is prophecies that are connected with both titles given to Christ in which Christ fulfill them all. Christ was around before He came in the flesh as the Son of God and the âAngel of the Lordâ Christ was in the fire as the Son of God from:
âJesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.â
Christ the Son of Man was manifest in the flesh in time. Jesus the Son of God was from everlasting. â Hey Lurker about the temples. Iâd say that both were simply a picture of Christ who is where all the fullness of God dwells bodily as God like you said doesnât abide in Temples made with hands. Both pointed to Christ. Iâd also say abiding in Christ is also seen in this same picture.
Maybe you can point out where I was wrong a little closer so I can see it better.
Edward Bear wrote: And..so? What's the point of citing those verses? Can you give some exfoliation on them?
Iâd say the title the âSon of Manâ is referring to the âSon of Davidâ it corresponds to what Lurker was saying. Notice when Christ mentions the title the âSon of Manâ Christ mentions building the temple up in three days? This is more fulfilment of 2 Samuel 7 that one would come and build the house of the Lord which Christ is the Tabernacle of David. The genealogy of Matthew show the lineage of the Son of Man the Son of David and those who cry out to Jesus as the Son of David show Him to be the Christ and the fulfilment of prophecy of the one who would build the house of the Lord.

Heâs gone, let the rancor go as well.
How about this, when I stop seeing articles lifting up Billy Graham as âAmericaâs pastorâ I will stop giving a balanced and biblical perspective to the news feed.

How many will follow after the error of Billy Graham and his building bridges to Rome?
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
The apostle brought up dead peoples error in the NT, how long had Balaam been dead? Everyone should just led it slide by since he is dead and while everyone is exalting his life work? Not biblical at all.
Watcher wrote: "...go, and sin no more..." Exactly my point. Jesus told her to stop her sinning ways. Billy Graham continued on his path of easy-believism and universalism right up to his death. He did not come about, and turn from his pagan ways. There's nothing to show that he turned his back on his Masonic lifestyle...nothing. His fruit bears him out.
Exactly! Will God let one of His sons stay in sin and not chastise them which will lead to repentance? What does the word of God say?:
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye [email protected]@rds, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Did God chasten Billy when he denied Him on tv? I know I would of made a point repenting to the public. Did God chastise Billy for supporting Rome? The man was loved by the world as he told whoever he was in front of what they wanted to hear and got rich doing it. Can a faithful pastor be loved by the world? No the Bible says so!

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
Iâd say anyone who is a mason, catholic supporter would Fit these verses.
John Yurich USA wrote: It is totally stupid for anybody to state that because Graham was a Mason that he worshiped Lucifer. Graham was a saved Baptist who worshiped Jesus. There are a lot of Baptist men who are Masons and they sure don't worship Lucifer.
What does a leader of freemasonry say:
General Albert Pike, Grand Commander, sovereign pontiff of universal freemasonry, giving instructions to the 23 supreme councils of the world:
"That which we must say to the crowd is, we worship a god, but it is the god one adores without superstition. To you sovereign grand inspector general, we say this and you may repeat it to the brethren of the 32nd, 31st and 30th degrees - the Masonic religion should be by all of us initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the luciferian doctrine. If lucifer were not god, would Adonay (the God of the Christians) whose deeds prove cruelty, perfidy and hatred of man, barbarism and repulsion for science, would Adonay and His priests, calumniate Him? Yes, lucifer is god, and unfortunately Adonay is also God, for the eternal law is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without black,...

Angela Wittman wrote: Hi Kev, Thanks for the kind words. I agree that getting kicked out of that church was the best thing to happen to me and thank the Lord for it as I grew leaps and bounds in the reformed faith. I'm presently part of a local solidly reformed church with a very knowledgeable pastor. His sermons are posted here: Geoff Ingrum of Heritage of Grace Church. I'm in a good place by the grace of God.
Absolutely great news!!! You will continue to grow as you conform to the word of God. Not only was it great for you to be kicked out but it is also great for your new faithful congregation!!! I travel a long ways every week to meet with like minded brethren and what a blessing it is. I actually feel so renewed every week when I meet with my brethren to praise the Lord. Whenever I miss a week due to sickness and such I definitely feel it that week with my walk with the Lord. I hope you can take away from our conversation is that we might not know someoneâs motives for posting what they do. I myself actually have been staying away from SA because I dont like commenting but I felt led to stick up for what I believe. I think my responses should at least be pondered. Sorry if I came across as grumpy
Nete wrote: Really? I've actually come to appreciate John antagonizing bloggers. He really makes you think of what is really required for salvation. He seems to exclude everything except believing in Jesus Christ and what he has done. The responses he gets from his mantras is good for posters who are not able to distinguish between the opposing views on any topic. I must say that this antagonist seems to post in a manner hard to stomach. But I think I really see his purpose in doing so. Just remember that the issue is not John. It is the issue being discussed that is the main issue. John knows that it is Christ alone, through grace alone, by faith alone, for the glory of God alone. It is the BELIEF of the man with no additions. Right now he is causing posters to see just what Billy Graham believed and taught. Not that John believes what BG taught. He plays the role of the street dummy.
So the end justifies the means and it is ok to be a liar? You obviously think he is a liar because you called him a âstreet dummy.â It show the fruit this kind of converts bear if what you are saying is true!
Nete wrote: To both Frank and Lurker Seems someone has assigned you to sticking your nose into the devilâs pit to discover Rachelâs dirty laundry. Itâs sad you know more about her than Jesus, our Righteousness. Do people really need to know this about her?
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather REPROVE them.
I see your throwing stone for people following the word of God. She was just quoted as someone whoâs opinion matters so yes she should be exposed for what she is. Talking about righteousness, you should make righteous judgments before you judge these brothers in Christ!
@ Christopher yes giving oneself high-fives would fit under the part where I said deceitful. I havenât seen that though. Just one moniker that looks a little suspicious, maybe.
@ James I got the point that there will be some who are misguided but the point that needs to be seen is that Christianity has fallen so far that a person is kicked out of a church and persecuted for the word of God! That says volumes. The church has compromised enough, they need to stick up instead of constantly compromising in the name of peace. The best thing that could of happened to Angela is getting thrown out of that church to join a faithful congregation. I canât imagine a person with their beliefs coming to my church and being kicked out. Those people hated hearing the truth so much they kicked her out! I wouldnât assume these people are in fact Wheat when we are told there would be tares in the church. This mindset is why you wonât find many churches with sound doctrine, feeding the sheep they cater to the goats instead and tell them just what they want. You wonât fill your pulpits by the truth. Most of these pastors are either ignorant which says volumes or they know the truth and speak not according to the word of God to fill the pews and feed their own bellies.

Weâre all having a conversation about the fruit of Billy Grahamâs life and discussing what the Bible says. If someone wants to come on here and say we should be ashamed saying falsely we want to see âBilly Graham in hell, or were on the burn the heretic wagonâ, of course that will bring strife. Maybe the person should try to understand the others perspective before saying âshame on youâ casting judgement on us. Yes also you have John Yurich calling names as well.
I saw your last comment as one you should of skipped as it is a quarelsome comment John. Also the strife came before those monikers even started posting.
Angela Wittman wrote: I know some arminians teach that and as a new believer I believed them. But the good Lord led me to the devotional Morning and Evenings by CH Spurgeon which eventually put me at odds with my church leadership and soon had me forced out of that church. I believe the pastor is a Christian, though in error.
I tell you what Angela I have no idea where Billy Graham is me and my wife talked about it and we came to the conclusion that we had no idea where the man is. One thing is for sure is God is doing what is right to him on either the basis of what he deserves which all men deserve hell or He is getting an inheritance from what Christ has done. None of this should ever stop us from exposing the truth and proclaiming what the word of God says about theses matters. A death should be a real awakening that hell is real and it definetly shouldnât be assumed that Graham is in heaven with the Lord. Hopefully people will see him and get to know the Lord by reading their bibles. His death should be a wake up call what if he is in hell. I know if he was a faithful servant of the Lord I wouldnât be having this discussion right now. â Persecuted for the word of God from religious people is what your experience describes.
The message needs to be work out your salvation with fear and trembling to make your calling and Election sure, it definitely shouldnât be say this prayer after me and if you have said it then popishly declare that person as a member of the body of Christ! John is a fine example of what watered down preaching creates, instead of falling on his face for God to have mercy on him and give him a new heart he figures he is in because âhe gave his life to Christâ. I would suggest this sermon that another reccomded(salvation is of the Lord):
False Prophets Todd Nibert Wednesday, January 24, 2018
It was the daily featured sermon and gives a biblical explanation of how to view a false prophet. Make righteous judgement!
