" Abigail,
Since you love to quote The Word of God, it also says:
"Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection". 1 Tim. 2:11

Why don't you quote the rest of the context? The churches do not teach or heed these Scriptures. Verse 15 should read, "notwithstanding she shall be saved in birth control", because people do not want their children, in fact, they hate and murder them. Moreover, she shall be saved only if she continues in faith and charity—otherwise, she will lose her salvation—countering once saved, always saved.

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array. (1Ti 2:9)

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. (1Ti 2:10)

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. (1Ti 2:11)

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. (1Ti 2:12)

For Adam was first formed, then Eve. (1Ti 2:13)

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. (1Ti 2:14)

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. (1Ti 2:15)

You would be wise to get saved Abigail, and humble yourself before a Holy God who can stike you down as a false witness and teacher on this site.
You are leading a lot of weaker brethren into sin on here and need to repent and come unto the true saving knowledge of Christ. You cannot teach a false, heretical doctrine on here, and claim to be in the state of sinless perfection.
You remind me of reading Pelagius who was confirmed a heretic. This is serious heresy, and you need to repent."
_____

The Word of God tells me that blessed am I when my name is cast out as evil for righteousness sake, and to rejoice and be exceeding glad, for great is my reward in heaven—for so persecuted they the prophets which were before me. Jesus Christ was persecuted for His words of truth and we should expect to receive the same. The disciple is not above his Master.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Mat 5:10)

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. (Mat 5:11)

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Mat 5:12)

The Article states:
"At the center of the debate is one passage in which Jesus calls Judas "daimon."
According to the National Geographic translation, "daimon" means "spirit."
DeConick, however, maintains that "daimon" should be translated to mean "demon," and that Jesus literally calls Judas a demon.
_____

Jesus Christ chose Judas Iscariot as one of the twelve knowing that he would betray Him. Yet, when Jesus sent out the twelve giving them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease, Judas Iscariot was granted the same power as the other disciples (Mat 10:1-4).

Judas Iscariot was a human being like any other person. He was a thief (John 12:6); He yielded to his own lust and greed and for thirty pieces of silver was used as an instrument of Satan in the betrayal of Jesus Christ.

The word "demon" is not found in the KJV. At a certain point in time Satan entered into Judas Iscariot (Luk 22:3; Joh 13:2) and put into his heart to betray the Lord.

Jesus said Judas was a devil (John 6:70), but He also called Peter "Satan" (Matt 16:23). Jesus was not saying they were the devil or Satan incarnate. He was addressing the evil spirit that was controlling them at that time.

Jesus did not go about searching for sick people to heal, but He healed all that came to Him for healing. He is the Great Physician. He saves, heals, and delivers. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise.

Mat 8:16-17 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Lol!
Great debating tactic.. deny that there is an issue, but insist on the counter point!
Wow!
Tell me Abigail, have you ever read the many verses to the intent expressed in 2 Peter 2. 19b viz. ".. for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought into in bondage.." Or the Lord Jesus in John 8, "...Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin"
Is a servant free? Is one in bondage free?
_____

There are salves and there are servants. Servants have willingly accepted their position for the reward they receive. Servants of sin love the pleasures of sin and therefore willingly continue in sin. A man is overcome by his own lusts and passions and willfully indulges in sin. No one is helpless in their actions unless they are demon possessed.

The remedy for sin is the Cross of Calvary. Praises unto our blessed Lord and Savior.

And far fewer than those who do not believe in election of any sort and preach a false gospel.
Does that answer your question?
_____

I am not aware of what the Arminians teach but the saints do not teach that one is only slightly sick and that Christ is just giving a helping hand. That is merely sarcasm from your camp. Preaching the Gospel of Christ, i.e., His teaching, death, burial, and resurrection with the subsequent new birth and infilling of the Holy Ghost is not a false gospel. You are confused and willfully deceived.

"But why do you suppose that the Lord can work something in believers to will and to do his good pleasure without violating their will but not in unbelievers?
Tick tock... Let us see if they can respond in the next 1000 years..."
____

The whole world is in chaos because God does not violate the will of man but has left man to his own inventions. God does intervene at times, violating the will of man in answer to the prayers of the righteous, but most of the time man does his own thing and God lets him choose his own destruction.

The preaching of the Gospel is the means by which humanity is drawn by the Father. Jesus said that if He be lifted up, He will draw all man unto Himself. When the love of Jesus Christ is shown through the preaching of the cross, it is the power of God unto salvation.

The will of the saints must be brought into subjection of the will of the Father by submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We know that if we pray according to His will that He hears and answers our prayers. The indwelling Spirit works in believers to will and to do of His good pleasure. The believers cooperate and participate by submitting their will and doing His good pleasure.

Why is election a challenging doctrine? According to the "election" doctrine, either you are elected or you are not. I wonder how many think they have been elected only to find out they were not on the day of judgment! And how many will they have condemned to hell (with their words and minds) that were God's chosen elect?

" Abigail, 1st John 1:10- 'If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us'"
_____

Lyn, I have not claimed that we have not sinned. All have (past tense) sinned and come short of the glory of God. The NT is very clear that we are to stop sinning. The wages of sin is death. Teaching a sinning religion is very evil. Those who maintain we cannot attain unto sinless perfection do not strive for sinlessness because their belief forms a deadlock and they feel justified in their sins.

Rom 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

17 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

19 …yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

1Jo 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

3:8,9 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for

Monkey see, monkey do—they probably aped the students!

Isn't it amazing that intelligent humans are intrigued by such foolishness? The ungodly are not so but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away (Ps 1:4).

"Abigail if we attain perfection we would no longer need the Lord Jesus Christ."
_____

Wrong, Jago! How little spiritual understanding sinful people have!!

If we have not the Spirit of Christ dwelling within, we are none of His.
The Spirit of Christ within, i.e., the Holy Ghost, keeps the saints pure by leading and guiding in all truth. He provides a way of escape when the saints are tempted. The Holy Ghost is the power of God that gives unction and strength to perform the works of God that the saint is called to do. In ourselves, we are helpless creatures. Our strength is Christ in us, the hope of glory.

Paul said, and his words should be the testimony of every born again believer—I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, and yet not I, but Christ liveth in me, and the life I live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.

I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me.

" Abigail, We are to aim for perfection, but we cannot achieve it in this life, we are still in the flesh.
_____

Preachers and teachers embrace the popular teaching of today that we cannot attain perfection. Jesus Christ said, "Nothing shall be impossible to them that believe". Wouldn't that include holy perfection? He commanded that we be perfect as our Father which is in heaven is perfect. His loving admonition is for us to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. The reason people are not attaining perfection is because they refuse to be filled with the Spirit and walk in the Spirit. The Spirit leads and guides in all truth and does not lead in sin and error. Those who are born of the Spirit overcome the world, and herein is the victory, even our faith. The Lord's prayer states, "Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil". It is a very foolish and serious matter to justify sin and promote wickedness by refusing to believe and follow the Lord Jesus Christ. People love the world and the things of the world and refuse to give them up to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. One can't become spiritually perfect while wallowing in sin. Most people don't believe it because they don't want to believe it

The NT teaches sinless perfection. The reason people are not perfect is because they do not want to be perfect—the price is too great for them to consider. People will not search out holiness and righteousness and consequently they are ignorant of them and counter with "No one is perfect, nor can one be perfect".

The article states:
“It is mainly because the churches are not regulated,” adding: “All other areas of work are regulated to some degree. However this is not the case in churches so you have these ‘Mickey Mouse’ cults popping up all over the country.”

______

Although there are many cults worldwide, Churches regulated by secular governments is ecumenism. The whole world is teaming in this effort and uses extreme cult-like behavior as a leverage. The true Church will not fall under their guidelines regardless of consequences.
