The release of the four-page memo about FISA just shows you how even staff within the govt (in this case, the FBI), were actively working against him as candidate, and doing their best to work for Clinton.
Thus, the idea that the 'ship of state' is hard to change directions is even more true when you consider that key elements of the crew on the ship are opposed to any change.
The other memo that was made public was by the new director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, saying they were not going to 'push the envelope' any more. I suppose even more drastic are the changes at EPA.

Incredibly sad story, but then you have to admit, there are churches that would say nothing about abortion.
This item needs to be kept in mind whenever we read a study showing church membership has benefits...or another..more Americans going to church...and so on.
Just because a person goes to a church does not mean they will oppose abortion.
Still, they may be getting some of those health benefits, especially for those who live alone.

First, you shake your head, but then when you see the letter D, you know that politics has taken over personal opinion.
Anyone who thinks all politicians are the same, needs to focus on this case. The more Ds there are, the less chance any change will be made to the pro-death policies of this country.
Though he is an elder in a conservative Protestant denomination in a conservative state (I mean, this is not New England!), the fact that he is a Democrat is more important. And all Democrats must support abortion.
I happened to watch a news item about a new bill in Florida to allow state funds to pay for private schooling for kids that have been bullied. All the Dems on the panel were horrified that the State was going to help the victim, but not the school. They were supporting their friends in the teachers' unions.

It sounds ridiculous, but when you look at the studies, you realize that this may be a modern ailment that needs attention.
Of course, attending and belonging to a church fellowship that cares about you and that you care about others is a good part of the remedy. Even the Bible says that older women in churches should be teaching the younger women.

He sent one over the Japan that nearly hit one of their airliners. Their alarm system didn't work, and people worried later, how can we improve this. Needless to say, they also have no 'press 1 for English, press 2 for Spanish' choices, so now they are working on methods to translate vital info to other languages, before they host the Olympics in 2020.

I think I know already what the ancient documents will say:
Thou shalt have worship services at 11:00am Sundays and a Sunday School for children at 9:30am.
Thou shalt have Bible Studies on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.

I think all Democrats are alike when it comes to voting in Congress. They all voted against the tax reform bill. They all voted against the Supreme Court nominee Gorsuch. And so and so on.
Bottom Line: There is a difference between D and R. Not all politicians are alike. Let's give the R group a chance to run the country a while and see what happens.

This news will help make the real estate prices in Hawaii drop a good bit. Now even mainlanders can dream of retiring to Hawaii one day, once they have their Last Will and Testament in good order.
And I bet lawyers in Hawaii will get lots more calls for help in writing wills, since they know they will be the first state to have a Come to Jesus Moment when North Korea's Fearless Leader has a bad dream.

Plastic straws are a real problem for beach cleaning. I have heard of contracts written for beach concessions to sell food and drinks to prohibit the dispensing of plastic straws. They are just too hard to pick up with the equipment used to clean our beaches.
I've also heard that styrofoam cups are becoming outlawed in parks in some parts of this great state, the third most populous one in this great country.
(sorry to sound so negative here)

I wonder if the same 'doctrinal drift' occurs in other Bible colleges and institutes, and even with churches, missionaries, etc.
The same has been seen in foundations like the Ford Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation, which now pay for many projects that their founders would disapprove of.
Generally speaking, it's best to 'follow the money' to see how an issue plays out. Is someone's pension at stake? Then they will sign anything to keep it, but with their mouth proclaim something else.

Interesting to note this news is not related to last night's State of the Union address.
It reminds me that perhaps SA could do us a big favor by creating a new page called, "Our News" to have news items that SA posters would like to see, like "KJV Declared to be Most Truthful Bible Translation" and "Catholics to be Deported from US to Italy"
This would abide with the 'your truth is your truth' and 'my truth is my truth' motto that many people today live by.
I noticed this in the reaction on one network about the speech, where they mentioned things not mentioned in the speech. That's like asking someone to comment on the New England Patriots victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and they went on and on about what the Patriots did against the Miami Dolphins a month or so ago.

Seeing that this news item comes from WND--World Nut Daily--I am not surprised at what their extensive research has come up with.
In a way, this is good, and maybe they are doing us all a service by covering the item before any mainstream media channel can pick up on it.
I am loathe to give WND a hard time, since even the National Enquirer had their 'day in the sun' when they broke the John Edwards, former Democrat candidate for President, story on his love child.
Then we started to find out similar children fathered by such people as Jesse Jackson.
And "Christopher" has his hands full with a wife of that sort, and her friends. But you have identified a common idea--if you attend a church with a specific location, specific services, you must be a good person. A friend told me of his coworker who complained of the 'loose living' of the neighbor, who attended one of those churches.

How about financial misdeeds like embezzling? Would we want that guy to be on the Finance Committee or be the Church Treasurer? I'm sure churches today are running full police identity checks on all the people who are chosen to volunteer for one of these tasks.

Thanks, 'Adriel', for that news about oil-eating bacteria. I'll have to stop cleaning the bathroom so I can get them to take over the work.

So that is how it goes!
I've been telling people the joke about the oldest game in the Bible, which is baseball, because it starts with "In the Big Inning"

Nothing to worry about here. I just checked the Talkers website and saw that Prager's radio program ranks 36th place, so few people have ever heard of him.
After the first 5, I couldn't recognize who the more popular talk show hosts are.

I don't think there would be any story at all about 'healing begins with salvation through Jesus Christ' as mentioned in a previous post.

No, this "spiritual-but-not-religious" method is what gets people's attention and is the preferred method today.

I'm sure stories are told in the Catholic media telling of their 'healing after an abortion after praying to the Virgin Mary'
and in the Mormon media about 'healing after feeling a warmth in their heart'

I don't see any connection between this issue and Christianity. And, it's taking up space that could be occupied by SA's main news item--what the sodomites are doing today.

Good to see that SA is keeping the sodomy hopper filled up. I haven't seen too many news items about them, so I did have thoughts about how SA's mission focus was becoming lost.

This is certainly a good story, but I doubt CNN will be airing it to the thousands of people going through airport terminals today (their only audience).
And, with over 100 comments running so far, I knew that a few have gone down rabbit trails to discuss things that interest only themselves, not anyone else. Too bad they can't find a cozy coffee shop to sit down with their Bibles (the right version of course), commentaries from their favorite 'teachers', and hash this all out by themselves.
