The Bible says nothing about religious organizations, (since there were not to be any), so I wonder how some come to the conclusion that the Bible addresses leadership of religious organizations (which the SBC is). Furthermore, the Bible shows no office of pastor but few have a problem has pastors.
There is nothing wrong with homeschooling your children, John. In fact it's a good idea. We have homeschooled eight of our nine children and are glad we did. If that means I "have a button" so be it. It may not be for everyone. There are many sacrifices to be made. But I applaud anyone who is willing too so so.
John 3:18 [18]He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Maybe we should build a wall around California and tear down their border with Mexico. Talking about border security but not doing anything about is typical American politics.
I have a question on the topic of racism. Why are so many people comfortable with the phrase "African American"? It sounds almost like a disclaimer. "Oh, they're not real Americans, they're African Americans".
Why aren't they just Americans like the rest of us?
No one would look at any device we have today and exclaim, "isn't it amazing that this just happened into existence." They know there were many people involved in designing and building it. Yet these same people will look at a universe that is infinitely more complex and make that very statement.
It seems like overpopulation and global warming are two concerns of liberals. They believe global warming is caused by co2. We exhale co2. If they would all quit breathing they would kill two birds with one stone.
I agree with you, anothermichael, and have often told people that Easter is more important. Christ's resurrection shows that He has power, authority, and VICTORY OVER DEATH.
Furthermore, what could possibly be more inclusive than celebrating the birth of the One who died for the WHOLE WORLD.
Ivan, these packages often contain personal care items (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, etc.). People may also be able to send books if they find them in the proper language, I'm not sure. But often just knowing someone cares enough to send you something, amessage of love, can make a world of difference. I may even soften someones heart for a future gospel message. At any rate, it's far from irrelevent.
This is a classic example of how twisted society has become. Volunteers are not supporting Samaritans Purse, they are simply helping Samaritans Purse minister to those in need. The message they are sending is, "I don't care about those children, I care about forcing everyone to agree with me."
This is a classic move by liberals. They think their choice should be everyone elses mandate.
