The Supreme Court knows that fraud has been committed, but they refuse to do anything about it.
The only thing that occurred today was the confirmation of the crime that was committed.

I once was a store manager for a well known company. We had to allow thieves to pass all points of a possible sale before apprehending them in order to prosecute them.

By law, this had to happen in order for other things to occur. We always offered the thief to surrender the goods and we would only place a trespass restriction on them. Stealing a presidential election has a bit more involved with it though.

“ It is interesting ”
I'd say they never departed from Scriptural patterns simply because they were never there to begin with. The RC never had a foundation built upon a Scriptural basis but did create their own from what essentially boiled down to a remake of the traditions which the likes of Pharisees God had judged. Hence the reason to use Latin, a language most didn't understand to read the Scriptures and then speak in the common tongue the works of self righteousness.

Mike or anyone else,

Deut. 1:10 The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

In several places throughout Scripture God provides similitudes (Hosea 12:10) such as the above "Stars of heaven" which I came across during this search for the usage of the term star.  While I agree that the phrase depicts a large number, why is that phrase not available to be continued to be used as the same descriptive term for this same group throughout the rest of Scripture? And yes there are many different terms like in Jeremiah 24 The Good and evil figs also being a figurative term given to the same two groups.

Jer 24:5 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.

So if the Stars of heaven and the figs are given descriptive terms that serve as  similitudes (Hosea 12:10), which happen to be the same groups. My question would be why would we not look for those terms elsewhere?

Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

See Isa. 11:15 for "Mighty wind".

God used persecution to motivate the early Church to get off their blessed assurance and go out into all the world to preach. Maybe we should look at what WE have been lacking.
Or it could just be that the end times are here.
Zep 3:9
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.

I think persecution came as a result of God putting His word into a language they could understand, that being Greek....and 1500 years later English.

Once the people were able to hear by the word of God(Rom 10:17) speak to them in their own language and not continue in the Modernized Hebrew which the priests spoke from but gave instruction in Greek from their traditions(The vain jangling, bewitching Paul spoke about) built of men, did the persecutions begin because the people were being lied to.

The very same thing occurred from 1526-1560 when the English language revealed the truth in the language they spoke, not the Latin readings and then English teachings of traditions of men.

What we have been lacking is settling for what men have concluded in commentaries before us as the truth so more focus can be on filling pews and meeting budgets.

Mike,
As I have been looking though Scripture, I am seeing that there are mentions of star and\or stars which may be on par with the wheat/tare description in that Both look the same at appearance on the outside. Not settled on that though. Still an open matter.

I did come cross one other interesting mention in Joseph's dream about his eleven brothers bowing to him to which he called them stars.

Gen 37:9-10   And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and **the eleven stars** made obeisance to me. And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

The 12 brothers of Jacob are what make up the 12 tribes which in the dream Joseph spoke of as being 11 stars and he would make the 12th. There's only one other mention in Scripture on 12 stars and that is in Rev 12:1. Again just making observations on not conclusions as of yet.

I will keep looking and sharing but I'm open to hear any thoughts on this or any finds you may have.

Those for whom is reserved the blackness... don’t quite add up to guiding lights. They are not sources of light at all.
Great observation. I agree. Here's the deal. Not all stars are the same. The ones Jude mentions are the same ones Peter does here.

2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Then there's this one.

Num 24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come **a Star out of Jacob**, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel

Num 24:19 Out of Jacob shall come **He** that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.

Here's one not of God.

Amos 5:26 But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, **the star of your god**, which ye made to yourselves.

The same term "star" is used, and both are guiding lights in a sense. One is of God and one was man made(wormwood).
Rev 8:11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood.

Great topic to discuss Frank. I agree mostly with your comment, but I've come across too many biblical definitions to not ever have eyes and ears open and hearing what God is saying. Here's what I mean.
We have a biblical warrant to put things to the test. How one is to go about doing that though is,IMO, given in 1 Cor 2:14. Take a term and search from cover to cover the usage, gender, context etc. Then look at the timeline of the events spoken of containing that term by the cross references which lock in the subject and the context for us.
If a possible understanding is arrived at, leave it unsettled until Scripture either continually validates it from cover to cover or rejects it due contradictions. If there are contradictions then we have arrived at a false conclusion because there are none in Scripture. None. Scripture does interpret Scripture for us which is what Paul demonstrated so eloquently in 1 Corinthians 9 regarding the Oxen mentioned in Deut. 25:4. That picture gets painted by Paul for us which demonstrates(1 Cor. 2:4) what Paul's hermeneutic is. Simply put, It's Scripture interpreting Scripture.
I will share what I find on star/stars and let you and Mike be the judge. Fair enough?

Agree with your thoughts on this, Frank. We also could ask where else in Scripture are angels presented as taking the form of bright lights in the sky?
Here's one example of what your looking for.

The term "wondering stars" is a metaphoric descriptive term for the angels which kept not their first estate (verse 6)

Jude 1:13
Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Frank, I see I didn't post the answer to the question which you asked for. The answer is righteousness.

Its either HIS which He promised to write on hearts (Jer31:33) or the Isaiah 55 reference which describes the labor which satisfies not. Those that rely on their labor are the antithesis of being in Christ.

They would be antiChrist like those spoken of here by The apostle John.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there *many antichrists*; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Sorry for the confusion and I'm not trying to debate you so don't feel obligated to respond. All I asked was a question and a place to look that discusses buying and selling like the Revelation. I didn't say anything about doing way with a mark either, so I'm not sure where that thought comes from.

Seems reasonable to me that understanding What the currency in God's economy is would be instrumental in coming to an understanding.

What is the currency in God's economy?

Is it not spoken of in Isaiah 55:1-2?

The three prevailing understandings all have flaws which have been pointed out by those who defend one of those three in particular. There's plenty of sermons on the subject on SA that defends one of the three by debunking the two remaining ones.
So, to me, that opens the possibility of them all being wrong.
