David L wrote: I wonder how much money was spent for that tacky "message." What was the point other than to irritate? How is this beneficial in any way? We are to speak the truth, the offense of the cross, in love. What a waste. Yes David, not exactly edifying. Kind of in your face. Sounds petty and mad. We are the ones, supposedly, with the peace of Jesus and the hope of Salvation thru His wonderful Grace! Not sure what Mr. Ham is going for, I wouldn't have wasted money on it. |

s c wrote: Barry wrote "...I actually read the book 'Silent Night' by Stanley Weintraub. Very moving book to read, especially if you like history..." If you really love history, you could read the Word of God! What's more beautiful than a candlelit service is the name of Christ. Please try to avoid dragging it through the mass. Hairy, mass mess! I do, in fact, read my bible daily and study the Word of God often. I do find time to read other things as well. I feel I'm very well read actually, including my bible. |

Mike wrote: I agree. Democrats or Republicans who act like this should be called what they are, which is not proper in polite company. But today it is a Democrat administration continuing wars. A big difference as I see it is, the war dead are counted daily by the media when a repub is sitting in the White House, and they are ignored while Obama sits there. Without personal research, who would ever know that during O's tenure, triple the number of dead has occurred in Afghanistan as compared to the Bush era? And it is O's admin that bailed out Wall St and GM, GE, etc. while letting sm business go under. Welfare to the rich now belongs to the Democrats. They figured out that the poor can't fund them. I disagree a little here Mike, the TARP start in october 2008 when bush saw the fruits of all those years of trickle down and no regulations on banks and too big to fail lending institutions. Nothing really has changed so it's on obama too. that is just the thing. Everyone that goes to washington is at fault. One party or the other, it's the same thing. the democrats did bail out the car companies in america, and the loans have been repaid. The money sent to the banks were a thank you for their votes i guess. |

John for JESUS wrote: I only wish police procedure was different. Maybe don't roll up on a suspect to closely and don't shoot to kill someone not wanted for murder, etc. Yes, you are right John for Jesus. I've noticed an itchy trigger finger on police more in the last few years. Not condemning the officer in Ferguson, they recently shot and killed a 12 year old in Cleveland for having a BB gun at a park. So many things could have been done by the parents to protect this child but the police drawing down on a 12 year old is beyond me. I think they need a little more training in a different area. |

Mike wrote: I do agree it is inappropriate for Republicans to ever want to be like your friends, the Democrats, who have steadfastly been in bed with the homosexual group. As to your CNN prognostications, they are just looking to dismiss what happened by saying things will be really different in 2016. Silly people. Maybe they will come out with more, uh, polling data to back them up. It all depends on the economy, people vote their conscious when the economy is good, they vote for their pocketbooks when the economy is bad. Fact of life in America!Yes, Jim Hillary did do poorly, people are sick of elections, election commercials etc. I believe she is the one to beat in 2016. The republican field is so wide open. I'm betting Mitt gets back in! |

S.Taylor wrote: Good, does this mean an end to abortion, obamacare, and same-sex marriages? John Y, says that the GOP is the party of Jesus Christ. That didn't happen the last time they were in power, we will see... |
