Very encouraging video, Bro Michael.
John, Always good to correspond with you, my beloved Brother in Wales

I like "Printed Missionaries!"

My last post was part of a tract my Church has begun to pass out on the streets, this year .... even being taken by a woman going into our local abortion clinic, to read while she sat with her friend

Anyway this tracts continues ...

Yes!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 is reality, and Jesus proves this reality, because imaginary gods do not make and fulfill prophecy, work miracles even their enemies acknowledge are real, do not die on a real cross, outside of the walls of a real city, on a real day in history witnessed by real people, and rise from the dead and leave an empty tomb, despite real guards three days later just like they said they would.
Know this: Eternal Life is not merely knowing some wonderful things and stories about this Jesus; But knowing HIM who is the Son of the Living God, .....

and there is more

Wishing everyone a "Merry Christmas" that points us to knowing/loving the Crucified for us, buried and RISEN!!! Son of the Living God

As Wonderful
As Christmas is …
And make no mistake about it, the Birth of this child supernaturally conceived in the womb of a young Jewish virgin is immeasurably wonderful, that in the weakness of a baby GOD had come to earth to be our Savior, even as it is written:
8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:8-11
Yet this awesome stunning reality all too often gets buried in all the traditions, celebrations and gift giving men heap upon themselves for December 25th.
So, as wonderful as Christmas is, please consider It is Easter! not Christmas that is the focal point of Christianity; QUESTION: Is Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God? Did He die for our sins on the Cross? Is He risen again from the dead? Will He ... come again in great power and authority to judge the living and the dead, punish the wicked and reward the righteous?
YES!

the troubler of Israel
Brother John UK Sola Scriptura Man
Interesting choice of words and the Biblical Narrative is telling; and the .............. verbal exploits by some

Elijah is falsely accused by Ahab the real "troubler of Israel with his wife Jezebel of being the troubler of Israel; and God wasn't just using Elijah to shut up the heavens where there was no rain (God's approval on Israel in their hateful idolaterous state but to bring the truth into Israel (with repentance and a fresh outpouring of much needed rain) who had been denying the horrid reality of their sin going along with Ahab and wicked Jezebel; if anything Ahab and Jezebel would have loved to shut this genuine saint of God up permanently

Here is a verse that applies:
"Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things."
Romans 2:1

Interesting, they practice the very same things they accuse others of, interesting indeed.

Maybe they should read:
"Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?"
Romans 2:4

You profess to hold to the teaching of Spurgeon, but do you really? Have you listened to him preach on John 3:16, or on the Blood

https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=580185849

Dear Bonny from Scottland, I plead with you be honest with us and especially with yourself, as it seems you hold more to the teaching of men like Pink who in my humble observation preach God hates everyone but the elect (or as another poster commented, the Elite) which I take to be only "Calvinists"

So, if you genuinely embrace teaching of Spurgeon let us indeed see that in treating others as Spurgeon did; but if you bow more to the teachings of those in the camp of Pink please do not bear false deceptive witness and only pretend you embrace the teachings of Spurgeon

Dear Scottish lady, I fear that it is you, not the imperfect John UK Sola Scriptura man is the one embracing a twisted loveless towards sinner Gospel that strips sinners of God given hope to be saved

Dear Bonnie
I know at the moment you are corresponding with John UK Sola Scriptura man; I think I also could safely say, you are a bit prejudice against non-Calvinists and have a difficult time listening to (in my words here) just about anything they say.

So, please do listen to your own words ....
Are you hearing yourself "preaching a gospel" of Jesus may or may not love you and expect people to put any kind of saving trust in "this Jesus you are preaching" who might not love them in the least? And this is good news to sinners who desperately need forgiveness and reconciliation with God?

Have you heard yourself argue against John's Biblical position, by the way a position much more inline with Spurgeon's preaching;

Yes! the Sacrifice of Jesus is available to whosoever believes because it is truth for God so loved the world, the whole world not just the elect world ... otherwise it could not be offered to whosoever, could it

And Yet! It will only be effective to those who believe the Truth.

Oh! Are you a Baptist then?

Do you fellowship with non-Calvinists, Spurgeon did; having some wonderful fellowship with Bible believing, Jesus loving people like the Evangelist DL Moody

By the way if memory serves me there were certain Calvinist he didn't fellowship with and who wouldn't fellowship with him ... Wow!

Do you have testimonies of conversion in your Baptist Church? Here is one that wonderfully show the Love and Sovereignty of God in Salvation and the good fruit being genuinely brings about

So let's have no more of these false accusations, please. It does your argument no good, and causes you to break the commandment, "Thou shalt not bear false witness".
Brother John,
Several posts back I asked, 'Why are we even having these discussions?' Probably for a lot of reasons; probably one of the worst is Satan is out to spread discord/strife among brothers (see Proverbs 6 and how the LORD hates this and how it is an abomination to Him) and one of his most heinous weapons in this evil work is ..... religion.

For what it might be worth, and IMHO here
Religion: proof texts the Bible
Faith: believes the Bible

Religion bears flesh/carnal/ungodly fruit and shuts up the Kingdom of Heaven from men
Faith bears the fruit of the Spirit, the first listed is Love, the Love of God for/towards everyone
Faith preaches Jesus Christ, who loves us, died and rose for us
Faith preaches believe in Him, a real living Being

Religion talks about Him but reduces Him to some kind of "thing" and preaches its "beliefs" and often despises people of genuine Biblical God Loving Faith

Religion can often be cunningly antinomian
Faith shows its love for Jesus in obeying Him and seeking to obey Him, of sanctifying Him as Lord

7. And when He does, REJOICE, follow Him in Believer’s Baptism, and unashamedly belong to Jesus. PRAY! Read the Bible every day, be saturated in and with His words, and do what He tells you. Pour out your life to Him in your praying and drink in His pouring out of His life, His Salvation to you in His Answers and Presence in your life. And make it a priority in the new life He has given you to go and tell others the Truth about Him so they can believe and be saved too. For it is the will of God that the Gospel of His Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.
Psalm 64:10, Matthew 28:18-20,
Mark 16:14-20, Revelation 22:17;
Romans 10:13-15;
Matthew 24:14

Honestly these are substantial claims that will radically affect your life and your relationships with other people, and what matters are they True or Not. Is God really more important than anything or anyone else? Be encouraged you can personally know Him. Please honestly investigate and find out the Truth for yourself. It will be so worth it! Amen.

Thank you all for your patience

Romans 3:10-23, 6:23
3. Yes! Romans 10:11-15 is foundational in an understanding of fulfilling the Great Commission:

This is will have to be in parts
But the following is taken from a tract my church uses in street evangelism; beginning:

Knowing: God has spoken, and the Bible alone is His Holy Written Word
2 Peter 1:16-21

Knowing: In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth, He owns and is sovereign over everything, all living things, and every living creature. Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-5; Psalm 24:1

A Telling of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

1. It is the will of God, to be GOD as GOD in every part our lives, not just “church” on Sunday morning. That our hearts would be open to Him and that He would share in our lives with us and that He would fill our lives with His life; God as God not just in the best of times when everything is good but also in the very worst of times and circumstances as well.

2. All of us despite our best intentions ...

First different presentation may indeed give different flavors of converts
Prosperity False Gospel - I am coming to get rich
others - to fix the problems in my life
others come - because I have to; I've been forced to, only to save one's skin from hell
others - to make me better than other people
others - to be saved from sin & now willing because I love Him to live for Him who loved me first when I was a sinner and couldn't really love the person I
was

Kind of like the motive the sinful woman must have had who wept over Jesus' feet, washed them with her tears and dried them with her hair

Honestly, why are we into this discussion

Whose approval do we need over our theology? Man's or God's

It seems to me at this time, if we are more concerned with God's approval, He not our "debate opponents" will be the focus of our faith, our love, our living and we will tell people about Him

As a comment here, I don't particulary like Kev (Kev you probably already knew you aren't one of my fondest friends) but if he was actually preaching out on the street what was posted 12/3/17 8:14 PM I won't object and I would be thankful for anyone who was born again through God using his labors. I would still disagree with him on his spin on the Sabbath; but then it is coming to know Jesus, not keep the Sabbath or not, that is the issue in Salvation, is it not; and God is quite capable in His Almighty Sovereignty of dealing with each of us as individuals whereby we His children can love Him & others from a pure heart in a good conscience and in a sincere faith

And taking Bonny's comment none of us has to play Holy Spirit and Lord over another's conscience and faith; and free us to encourage those truly born again to continue in the faith once for all delivered

Bonny, I hope you have watched the brief clip of Paris Reidhead, whose "10 Shekels and a Shirt" is one of SermonAudio's Must Hear Starters; or you may not understand my comment here:

Listed among things the LORD hates and that are an abomination to Him in Proverbs 6 is: "and one who sows discord among brothers."

Would you consider Paris Reidhead, a non-Calvinist a brother? Would you value him and his ministry? Basically do non-Calvinists have any place in your life as brothers and sisters, do you love them, would you lay down your life for them?

Please don't get angry but I read so much about "The Arminians" as if they are at best some kind of diseased inferior Christians, who must be converted to Calvin at all costs; and if they don't Calvinists need to drive them away.

Bonny, does not Scripture tell us to judge not? Would this include labeling someone wrongly? Would it not be far more important to discern/know someone by their fruits (love maybe) if they know Jesus or not?

Would it be cruel to give someone a false assurance of salvation because they intellectually believe and are zealous for 5 Point T.U.L.I.P. Calvinism but have no testimony of God's sovereign dealings with them to bring them to repentance and faith and give no profession of having personal faith in Jesus Christ, just in things about Him?

Here is a brief 8 minute clip "Come and He Will Set You Free" by a non-Calvinist taken from a sermon titled: So Great Salvation

What do you think of it?
Does it meet your approval? or not?
Would you think it is worth sharing with others?

I hope it is a blessing to you.
