Amen, Carl from Greensboro, reminds me of what Jesus said to the seven churches in Revelation, even they were held accountable for the good or bad they did or did not do or say. My friend and I have said that the Church has a responsibility to cry out against sin no matter how politically unpopular it is. How can a Church be a light to the lost if it tries to be politically correct?? To not offend.

I really can’t tell you exactly what a mentor you have been to me on here with your wisdom on what I actually needed to hear rather than what I wanted to hear always. I was so intimidated at first but soon learned to relax and enjoy the fellowship. We don’t always know exactly how our words will affect someone but God does and so uses us to our surprise to be a blessing, encourager or even a light on whatever is needed to prune away the dead parts to bring forth even better things as you mentioned. I really needed to hear this and so much appreciated it. Love and blessings.
Lurker, I totally agree, God has to have a sense of humor to put up with us. 😁 A merry heart really does do good like a medicine. And honestly I can read some of your posts and feel better. There are others on here that lift our spirit and teach us things, I never thought about like Penned and many others on here. Love and blessings.

Hi to you Kev, I too have to look at myself as well because as I said I have not been the perfect poster either and let my emotions take over as well. You have a kind spirit and that is so important for a Christian to have. We can disagree but still have that love for the brethren that John talks. Well anyway, that’s my feelings. I don’t believe exactly like my best friends. It’s just a spiritual matter that God keeps working on me. Blessings,Kev. God used you all as an encouragement and may I do the same as well.

Hi Dr. Tim, thanks for the encouraging words and kindness shown to me on here. The fun things said that make us laugh and seious thoughts as well. No matter what I still get in trouble with friends here because they are razor back fans in Arkansas and Long Horns in Texas. I live in Texarkana on the Texas side have family on Arkansas side and a heart for the Crimson Tide guys . Now that can make a person more nervous than a cat in a roomful of rocking chairs! Have a blessed day.

John Uk, I so appreciate your comments and have been encouraged many times by them even when it may have been pricked, which is another way God can teach us important lessons that we just need to learn. Feel free to help me as you feel led.Love and blessings to you dear brother.

Lurker, I really appreciate your kind words and I get encouragement here with your comments as well especially when things get ‘prickly ‘ as Carol said. I chuckled at some of your responses and felt better for that. Laughter does good like a medicine ( somewhere in Proverbs) Makes me think God surely must have a sense of humor. Sometimes I think that I take myself too seriously!😀 Again thanks for helping me out on here to do just that. God was patient with Elijah while he sat under the Juniper tree until he was able to move on. I have been under that same tree more than once.

Carl from Greensboro, again you have ministered to my spirit and been an encouragement to continue on. I keep being reminded of what you spoke of and that’s when the disciples told Jesus of a man casting out demons in the name of Jesus and rebuked him because he wouldn’t follow them. Jesus said to leave him alone for whoever is with me is not against me. So thankful you used that to remind me that I was indeed here for a reason and to carry on. God has used you once more, dear brother to bring blessings and encouragement and comfort to my spirit.

Carl from Greensboro, for what it’s worth your comments have never failed to be edifying and a blessing to me personally. Like this one on this thread for example, with all kinds of voices speaking yours rang the truest for me. The comments made by the Author of sermon audio has made me especially upset as he has said that he is actually biased by his comments. I feel totally alienated from most of the posters and keep hearing these words Christ said to Paul,” why are you kicking against the pricks??” In other words I am only hurting myself .by continuing on. I leave a few friends that I love and enjoy but not enough to continue on.

I watched the funeral of Billy Graham and was moved to tears,I looked over at my husband and he was wiping tears as well.He has never talked about salvation and prayers and yet he watched everyday of this?? Maybe Trump being there encouraged him to watch but maybe my prayers, it doesn't matter because the Spirit of God was there and a seed was watered.Amazing Grace at his funeral, still touching lives.Franklin Graham spoke of what his father said once,"I don't understand all of what the Bible says but I believe every word it says."He brought to them that life is short and heaven is real and where will you spend eternity at the end of his eulogy for his dad. Then at the end Just as I am was sung as it always was at all his crusades.

Watcher, if you’re saying that what I posted is works then you have to take a black marker and mark out so many verses that have to do with works after you are saved. Good works because you are saved. Sermon on The Mound, James 1&2 actually the whole book. I know your works Rev2:2 Their works follow them..Rev.14:13, according to their work Rev 20:12 You say the way you believe will send you to hell. So in order to go to heaven I have to make a choice to believe as you do?? I can still sin because all my sins have been forgiven and no repentance is necessary. I would be very worried if sin followed me like a shadow. You have the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you. You will bear good fruit if you abide in the vine. By the way, it is works when you have to believe a certain doctrine because that’s exactly why Christ was hated by the Pharisees and others. He had a better way and they just didn’t get it. They clung to their way.

Watcher, a better question.. would you have been among the ones that hated Jesus because his beliefs were not what they believed?!! Actually you are against Christ when you condemn and judge another man of God. By the way how many people have you won to Christ? Why don’t you get busy with sowing seeds of the gospel or watering seeds already sown and get rewards for yourself, laid up in heaven where moths, rust can’t destroy and thieves cannot )steal. Remember Jesus said when you have done it unto the least of these (his followers ) you have done it unto me.
And as quite Christian said in his comment we all have “feet of clay “ we do the best we can with what we have been given to do and with the strength given us through Christ to accomplish it.

God doesn’t need or even care what people on this forum think, feel or say about Billy Graham . As important you think you are on here does not mean one thing to God because He has of now welcomed Billy Graham into His kingdom with these words,”Well done, good and faithful servant;you were faithful over a few things,I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.” God spoke these words to me and I looked them up in Matthew 25:21 for those who knew and loved Billy Graham . Rest In Peace Billy.

Being a Christian wife and mother I see how feminists is not what God wants a woman to be. I embrace my femininity as a wonderful gift of God. I like being taken care of and protected. Yes, the feminist movement have been behind the Pro Choice issue. There has been a blurring of the sexes today as never before . There’s scripture fore telling this as well as the increase of knowledge before the coming of the Lord. Unbelievable how technology has increased in this last century. Keep your lamps burning saints!!

The church of my in-laws did not believe you had to speak in tongues, to them it was simply another spiritual gift among others. Why would Paul say to desire and seek the better gift of prophecy to be used in the church setting rather than just at home as a prayer language. The other things bothered me. No make up, hair not cut or jewelry and all this came from Their interpretation of what different scriptures said. The time they used their jewelry to make the golden calf while Moses was getting the Ten Commandments on Mt Sini. Jezebel painted her face and looked out her window trying to tempt a man of God. Hair is a woman’s glory and covering for her head. The more I studied the and the more light I was given I knew these things were not wrong because my mom was a much better Christian than me or my in-laws and if she didn’t make it into heaven one would. I was shown a lot more but want get into that. I am letting my light shine right where I am at, blooming where He has planted me. My pastor former Catholic from a Catholic family, called to preach and go to seminary after he married and had 3 kids. First Baptist.

Hi Dr Tim, I see you can bring out some good thoughts on here as well as funny things 😊 I bet your maw taught you these deep thoughts. By the way what part of the woods did you come from? My grandpappy lived in Atlanta, Ga until he passed on You ever been to Savanna to the Paula Dean’s Restaurant?? Keep up the good work, friend ,proverbs says a merry heart doeth good like a medicine.
Thanks for the good thoughts John and encouragement.
I understand where you are coming from free pass and that love is agape love and pertains to enemies as well and how do you know I don’t have that love for even those who mistreat me. You don’t know who I pray for or what it feels like to be called names. That’s God’s Love, Agape. I do not have philo or friendship love because we have to set boundaries in our as to who we let in to save ourselves a lot of pain and suffering. I have a burden now for my granddaughter who is involved with a boyfriend that is abusing her. There is also Eros love between lovers. Agape love for those who don’t deserve it and forgiveness from the heart and not seeking revenge. A relationship has to do with two people working on it together, forgiveness takes one, you as for yourself so that no root of bitterness springs up in your heart to trouble you. Since I have be

Wow, Adriel, that’s exactly how it is with tongues clear as any body could say it. When you have an experience with God you understand exactly what has happened and can remember it and the feeling as if it happened last night, but if’s hard to explain it to someone that has never been there. Like explaining a painful toothache to someone who has never had one. I was not happy in the Pentecostal Church because of different things and felt God’s leading (can’t explain that either but Believe Me I know I when it happens). Thanks for the post and the Lord is pleased as well.

John Uk,I would love to be shunned as well. More peaceful that way. I remember how intimidating I felt when I first posted on here and the reason I even started was reading Christopher as he spoke of his depression and since I have battled that myself I gave a word of encouragement. No response and much later I put my big toe in to test the water and very interesting responses that time!!😳 Steve R asked the moderator to have me removed and another responded to him in another post by telling the moderator to please remove Steve with his catholic rubbish. But through it all have found some really kind friends to put up with me and my oddity and understand and love me in spite of my differences in doctrine. And have been blessed as well and as a Christian love the brethren very much.

Yes, I agree totally. We show Jesus’s love when we show love to our brethren in spite of our differences. You may see something different than I do but to me it’s not important enough to break fellowship We all have feet of clay even the most godly. We will all answer to God for our own sins or failings or whatever.I really hope I get to see you all in heaven some glorious Day and the way the world is going now it may not be much longer!
