Trump is having a problem with the racial question, a lot of liberal and conservative Christians are trying to get past that.
You'll have to provide examples as evidence for that. Generality-speak doesn't cut it.

Hitchens, being dead, is no longer an athiest because now he knows better. Harris will eventually cease being athiest, as all athiests will.

Someone blaming what Christians do for their athiesm is particularly ridiculous, Jim. but I suppose desperate times call for desperate measures, right? Try again.

ps, if you actually believe what is stated in the first sentence, may I say you seem to have a real hard time living that "wide berth"

Bud Brown does a good job of pointing out the nonsense of Dominionists❗👎
You do a good job of distracting from the subject, which is concern from pastors about the election affecting their churches. (Not a compliment, btw) I don’t see in there anyone trying to force anything on anybody. If there is, do point it out. Or, do what you usually do, pick up another pasture patty, and sling it against SA’s door.

Yes the exception approves the rule!
Besides I mentioned another person who is approved by Republicans, and a woman, but she has a misfortune of having a Spanish last name.
Her appointment would do Trump much more help, but thankfully for that reason as far as I'm concerned, she wasn't picked--for obvious reasons.
Mrs. Barrett may have many admirable qualities, but being Christian isn't one of them.

Since the lady you are referring to is Barbara Lagoa, whom you named, you must certainly be aware she is also RC. So the only thing to conclude is, you disagree with Trump’s pick, not because she’s RC, but because Trump chose her. You’re easy to read, Jim. The implications you try to promote are to cause doubt, which increasingly you are unable to do. But keep trying, we need the entertainment.

I wonder how those footballers maintain “social distancing” while playing the game? Ah, but there is no limit to foolishness, is there?

Maybe. But then Buster Brown is white, and that would make him racist in Jim’s racist imagination.

He should not have picked the lily-White, Amy Coney Barrett, but if he had to have a woman, someone more like:
"In Miami, buzz over Cuban American judge Barbara Lagoa as potential Trump Supreme Court pick"
https://tinyurl.com/y9vpmpox
It would have given him more points with a Latino community which he needs ❗
But then, as Christians we should not be very enthusiastic about having women judges, and the one that was picked has seven kids who she should be taken care of, though the Cuban American one has two.

Figures a lib like you would want to see a Supreme Court judge chosen on the basis of scoring points with a special interest group rather that on the basis of principle.

My wife took a plane trip recently. Mask worn during the flight was annoying, but empty seat requirement between passengers was pleasant. All in all, no complaints, but the dumbness of limited passengers and mask wearing in an enclosed space with recirculated air is also noted. Emotion driven business practice disguised as protecting health. A lot of that going around.

Or delivering it somewhere else. Which, I suspect, is why our governor Cuomo shut the State down, but continued to allow flights out of New York City to the rest of the country during the worst of it. He couldn’t be that oblivious.

Jim, you had to go back 4 years to remind us of old NY Times news. How sad. The only thing it shows is that this year’s effort is just another pre-election rerun of nothing. How about you think about whether Trump has done anything illegal, and if so, why hasn’t the IRS, who is no friend of his, come after him? But that requires reason, and you’re big on attempting to trigger envy and emotion. It isn’t working. It won’t work for you, and it won’t work for the NYTimes. Please try again.

I have often thought the reason why vaccines take so long to develop is because of safety. Now I admit that I have no background into this subject. I am not a doctor, scientist or an epidemiologist so I have no way to prove anything; it just seems so logical. But one thing I am pretty sure of is China doesn’t have to worry about safety or efficacy. They don’t believe in a personal God, so to them death is simply something that happens to all mankind. IOW, if their citizens die, it simply reduces the number of their citizens which to them is a positive thing; population control.
If they need more guinea pigs, they will force them to participate like they do with abortions.
It’s ok if you’re not an expert, Frank. Me neither. From what has transpired in the last few months, the experts don’t seem to know much anyway. You’re right about the time it takes to develop vaccines. I read recently that the fastest that one has been developed here was 4 years, with a typical time of 10 years. Opinion: This one will come relatively quickly, so that when Covid does what it will do anyway, and go the way of typical contagious diseases, the vaccine can be credited with making it happen.

More food for thought❗👍
Indigestion is more likely. San Francisco church goers should carry bricks and torches when they go. That way they’ll be left alone, maybe even encouraged. Certainly no threats from their sick government.

I just got back from fellowship meeting. We don't wear masks, never have done, we do shake hands and get closer than 6ft.
So Mike, do you accept the mandate at your church and wear your mask, or would you prefer to come join us, where we have freedom from those rules?
Who is deceived?
I would prefer what your fellowship does, John. For now I wear it for the weaker brothers’ sake, (those who are deceived into and presently think cloth masks do something) while dropping realities among the brethren, until such time that hopefully most will want to let the spirit of fear go back to the devil where it came from and where it belongs. Kind of like leaving tracts, in hope that some might be brought to recognize their need.

Yet, these dear brothers and sisters, just accept the mask mandates without quest
Sadly Chris, that's why it's called deception. There are Christians who think they cannot be deceived, and thus go along with it. Perhaps it's too uncomfortable to think about, such that the knowledge of deception is denied. This one is worldwide, so is seen as not possible, yet Scripture is clear that the entire world will be increasingly deceived as we near the end. As it was in the days of Noah...I'm not sure from where the difficulty comes. Do they think it begins with tanks and guns?

For a chuckle, in my church meeting, we are mandated to wear masks when entering, standing or walking, but not sitting. Many can see the foolishness, what with the ventilation system circulating the air, and I remind some that apparently Covid is required to stay 4 ft or more above the floor. Even Christians are willing to adjust to such goofiness, it seems, as long as comfort is priority.

No, in a sane world, they would be quarantined. In a deceived world the school would be closed, the healthy isolated from other healthy, small businesses closed, while big businesses, abortion clinics, and liquor stores remained open. Oh wait...

I wonder why a court that acts in contempt of the top law of the land isn’t held in contempt? Thankful there are a few good judges.

Frank wrote:
If the law says we should wear a mask when in public, then unless someone can come up with a biblical argument against that order, they should wear a mask.
So, what is the biblical argument against wearing a mask?
Hi Frank, for me it is useful to start with the understanding that executive orders are not law, but temporary rulings. Legislatures are the lawmakers in the context of thIs nation that God has allowed to come into existence. When governors or mayors continue so called emergency powers and attendant selective non medical rulings after the emergency passes, or in this case no medical issue exists, it is they who disobey the law. I guess the question would be whether obeying a criminal in his disobedience is biblical.

The pity we didn't have a black leader for President.
We had one during the Ebola outbreak, and the Swine Flu pandemic. His skin color didn’t seem to help, though. Pity.
