]] Do you really understand how much Satan hates you?Turn to Jesus Christ today and be saved before Satan gets you forever: "now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2) KJV Romans 3:10 As it is written, "There is none righteous, not even one." Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:13 For "Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved."---NASB Romans Scripture grouping by Jim Lincoln |

CAB wrote: Read the Gospels. Jesus is the Creator of the Universe, come to earth as a man, to teach us, to die for us. To ignore the teachings of Jesus in favor of the demented ramblings of a murdering madman is purely wicked. Cab, who do you mean by "the demented ramblings of a demented madman"? |

John UK wrote: Dopey David, I am hopeful that although you obviously feel quite strongly about the doctrines you have put forward, you will nonetheless not feel the less of me for holding different interpretations of the various scripture passages, as I do not feel the less of you for holding doctrines different to mine own, realising, as I do, that you will have scripture warrant for each one of the seven, and thus I accept that you have come to conclusions based upon the word of God, and I would not seek to dissuade you from those secondary doctrines which do not affect salvation,... the way of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, in two words: JESUS SAVES We have heard the joyful sound.....et al 38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. 39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; (Acts 15:38-39)Paul and Barnabas didn't hate or disrespect each other when in major disagreement. They kept delivering the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's my policy too John |

Lurker 7. I believe that at the end of the milenium, the literal 1,000 year reign of Christ over all nations and peoples, there will be one final rebellion against God by some people on this planet. God will then crush that rebellion and from that point on in history God will never again allow any creature that He ever created to rebel against Him. I have left out many, many things concerning my beliefs concerning biblical prophecy yet unfilled: the Antichrist, the seven year covenant of the book of Daniel that will effect the jews of Israel in an incredible way to their detriment, the judgment seat of Christ when it occurs, the Great White Throne judgement when it occurs etc. etc. But I have outlined in regard to seven key points my beliefs. Lurker I respectfully and without malicious intent invite you to, Lord willing, do the same as regard to the seven basic points I mentioned. I also believe it would be of great value for John UK to state publicly his beliefs in regard to the seven points I brought up, after Lurker states his beliefs, if Lurker chooses to do so. |

Lurker4. I believe the rapture will occur before that "great tribulation" (pre tribulation). 5. I believe the Lord will return to earth and touch down on the planet and put and end to the "great tribulation" and then several judgments pertaining to the survivors of the "great tribulation" will occur. 6. I believe that after those judgements the Lord, Jesus Christ, will then set up a literal milenium, that is, a literal 1,000 year reign of all nations and peoples by Jesus Christ. ...One more point to go |

Lurker, I believe it would be of value to you and I and others who read this thread if you and I went on public record as to what we believe in regard to various Scripture prophecies concerning what is commanly referred to as the "end times".I will state what I believe in regard to 7 points, without going into reasons as to why I believe the things I do: 1. I believe there is going to be a rapture, that is, the Lord shall come and without touching down on earth will cause every saved, born again, person who is living on this planet to be caught up to meet Him in the air and then that group will go to heaven where various things will occur. 2. I believe that the rapture is imminent (the doctrine of imminence), that is, the time of the rapture while known to God is not known to us and never will be until we (the born again) find ourselves in the air with the Lord. Thus I and all other saved born again people should have the outlook that the rapture may occur before the next two minutes are over, that is, at any moment. ... 5 more points to go |

Lurker wrote: Thank you for your kind words, David...I've grown so weary of the same worn out arguments going on and on to no apparent avail that I thought it would be nice to discuss something different...Anyway, it's hard to make a good argument in 1300 characters so if you, or anyone else for that matter, want to discuss a particular point... let me know. God bless, brother. Lurker I'm similar to you in that I also am "weary of the same worn out arguments going on and on to no apparent avail" at SermonAudio. And I agree "it's hard to make a good argument in 1300 characters"I have felt that way for a long time. God looked at my weariness and began to shape my thinking as how to possibly remove that weariness. The thought occurred to me, what if I had my own website and invited people, men and women from SermonAudio who clearly have God given gifts to express themselves at my website. Testing the idea to see if God would open a door, a terrible battle with Philistines lasted over several days. Eventually Goliath's head came off: "Important Notice from CIRA dopey.ca is Now Registered with CIRA. Thank you for choosing to register a .CA domain name...As of 2014/02/21 (Eastern), dopey.ca is active in the CIRA registry." |

John UK wrote: ...Unfortunately, the Presbies have been told that they must maintain what they have been taught or they will be counted apostate and never get to heaven. This is why they argue nonsensical points instead of trying to understand what the scripture actually says. They are in a Catch 22 situation, and it will take a mighty work of God to reverse their thinking so that it becomes fully biblical. John, all "Presbies" don't "argue nonsensical points...", though some certainly do.One of the two greatest preacher/teachers I ever heard "was an ordained Presbyterian minister" who died in 1988. The Scripture knowledge God gave that man and the Spirit of God that the man displays humbles me when I hear him expound Scripture. I extremely enjoy listening to that man, who unlike many preacher/teachers knew what he was talking about, so much that I still listen to him in 2014. One of the ways I listen to him is by way of: http://www.wfax.com/ For people who would like to listen to the man I refer to and are not too lazy to do some work, copy the address I gave and post it in your webbrowser and when you get to WFAX check out their Mon-Fri as well as their weekend schedule. Your looking for the name J. Vernon McGee. |

Reformation: "Why do Baptists abandon/discard the OT?"Reformation, they don't all do it. One of the two greatest preacher/teachers I ever heard was a Independent Baptist who died in 1976. He certainly didn't abandon/discard the Old Testament. I listened to that Independent Baptist for years broadcasting on a station out of Detroit. I enjoyed listening to that man, who unlike many preacher/teachers knew what he was talking about, so much that I still listen to him in 2014. Only now I don't listen to him from a station out of Detroit, but rather I listen to him by way of: http://www.wfax.com/ For people who would like to listen to the man I refer to and are not too lazy to do some work, copy the address I gave and post it in your webbrowser and when you get to WFAX check out their Mon-Fri as well as their weekend schedule. Your looking for the name Oliver B. Greene, an independent Baptist. Note the time his broadcasts are on and when you have some free time that corresponds with when he is broadcasting give him a listen. But remember "two or three witnesses", that is, listen two or three times before you make a conclusion about Oliver B. Greene. |
