Yes, unfortunately, Boris Johnson, did bow a little to his two scientific and medical advisers, and has mandated the compulsory use of masks (with a few exceptions) on all public transport in England, and in all hospitals at all times and in all places there, not just intensive medical areas, in England. Thankfully, he didn’t bow completely, so masks are not compulsory in the streets and in the shops, though strongly recommended. This order does not apply in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, which have actually had stricter lockdowns than England, but haven’t yet mandated mask wearing anywhere.

I have an overactive sinus condition, and probably could get a medical exemption, but doctor’s surgeries are a very fraught experience these days, so I have to put up with grievous discomfort every time I take a bus or train. Perhaps I shall have to try a long day trip across the border, possibly to Wales, though it is a long way away, and they still have a very strict lockdown!!!

What vaccine are you talking about, Mr Lincoln? The vaccine floated by Bill Gates, with the indelible id tattoo, or even more ordinary vaccines being worked on which are descended from aborted babies!!!

By the way, according to your own US law, (I am not clear what the situation is legally in my own country), pharmaceutical companies have total immunity from any criminal or civil prosecution if anything goes wrong with their vaccines. I understand that only government or health agencies can be sued civilly if anything goes wrong, if they require or mandate the vaccine, but the proof hurdle is extremely high, and very expensive and difficult to establish legally.

Yes, the much vaunted “conservative” justices have indeed proved to be a disappointment. I believe there were “conservatives” on the Supreme Court in the 1960’s that threw out prayer and Bible reading in the public state schools, and I also believe in the infamous 1973 Roe v Wade decision. The Chief Justice that made the casting vote in Obergefell (redefining marriage) was also supposed to be a “conservative”.

Now this current “conservative” Chief Justice gave the casting vote on continuing church worship bans in California, and now worse still, he has been joined by another “conservative” judge, Neil Gorsuch, who have sided with the liberals, and redefined sex from male and female to who knows what, and actually passed a law, which judges are not allowed to do, by hijacking a civil rights law way back from decades ago, and actually totally changing its meaning, to something the original legislators never even dreamed of. The other “conservative” judge, Bret Kavanaugh, also appointed with much controversy by President Trump, did vote against this thankfully, but gave a rather weak sounding judgment. Only the two remaining and truly conservative justices, Justice Alito, and Justice Thomas, gave a good, robust strong judgment, upholding your constitution and the proper rule of l

At first glance, this may look like a typical “seeker sensitive” type service. I have watched a little of it, and will watch the rest, (I can speak Spanish, so I understand what is being said). While I don’t agree with the method, I actually understand what the pastor is getting at. I didn’t know too much about the lockdown situation in Argentina, (I know a little more about neighbouring Chile, as I do sometimes pray for the country).

It seems that there is, like as in the USA, and here even in Britain, an absolute hypocrisy and anti-Christian sentiment against the churches, sadly aided and abetted often, by the church leaders themselves and their complete acquiescence to what is going on.

It seems that in Argentina, the sit down bars, restaurants and cafes are fully open, (that is not even the case here in Britain, except for takeaways), but churches are still severely restricted, with very strict conditions (here in England, now only open for private prayer, no services allowed at all). No doubt Argentina also had virtually unrestricted BLM protests, with no “social distancing” taking place. This is indeed disgraceful.

Perhaps the “Black Lives Matter” protestors ought to turn their attention to this terrible slaughter of thousands and thousands of black lives (by other black people), there in Nigeria, where Boko Haram, Islamic State, and Muslim Fulani herdsmen are killing, kidnapping, raping, burning down villages and torturing their captives. They even practice slavery. I still think of Leah Sharibu, kidnapped as a 14 year old girl, not released because she was a Christian, and now at 16, probably before then, forcefully “converted” to Islam, married to one of their commanders, (and who knows what daily rapes, beatings, etc. she may have to endure), and now apparently pregnant with his child, with no chance of ever seeing her family again, and a supine wicked government that does absolutely nothing to deal with this lawlessness.

Perhaps “Black Lives Matter” need to investigate the organised abortionists, who following their white, eugenicist, founder, Margaret Sanger, who believed in “superior races”, target black areas, and kill black babies in the womb in their thousands!! On these issues, they seem very silent indeed!!

Wales has generally had a stricter lockdown than England, and their main non-food shops, are still not open. Churches in England are now open for private prayer only, but not in Wales.

One Catholic priest in Wales who married a couple in the “traveller” or gypsy community, that actually have strict chastity rules, unlike mainstream society, was threatened by his own church with discipline, because he went against this ban on marriages.

In England there is still a ban, but outside civil marriages, without any reception, may be allowed in England from July, I believe. Unfortunately, that might not yet apply to church marriages. This is where there is absolutely much hypocrisy by church leaders, in not insisting that church marriages should take place, even if there is a limit on the number of people attending, and the now usual “spacing out”, and sadly the ban on any kind of reception afterwards.

The absolute hypocrisy of these two leftist leaders, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is astounding.

They allow, nay they encourage thousands and thousands of angry demonstrators to rally, shoulder to shoulder, (what happened to the sacred “social distancing” rules), and even turn a blind eye to riots and burning down of businesses already shut and close to bankruptcy due to the coronavirus lockdown, while at the same time getting their police department, (which actually they are defunding because of supposed “institutional racism”,), to harass Orthodox Jews, during their funeral services, and lock them out of parks, removing their children forcefully and threaten their synagogues with permanent closure.

Evangelical Christians, meanwhile supinely go along with this hypocrisy, keeping their churches closed, (we must obey the government at all costs to prevent coronavirus), and sadly it has been left to two traditionalist Catholic priests, (not actually affiliated to the official RCC), and three Orthodox Jews, to challenge this wickedness in the courts, and risk leftist activist judges turning down their call for true justice!!

I did just pass a Catholic Church which had its doors open with stewards at the doors. I suspect the Anglican ones will take later, as the two Archbishops of Canterbury and York, ( the latter, a semi-liberal has now just finished, and ready to hand over to a very radical liberal), and the woman bishop of London, wouldn’t even allow priests or vicars to stream their services online from inside the churches until recently when one or two vicars protested, and they were then allowed to stream the service live from inside the church!!

As for churches, my own is not live-streaming, but the pastor has now begun to record and put on SA a Sunday morning and evening sermon, as well as a special recorded sermon series from his study or his vestry. I still watch the live Sunday webcasts of Metropolitan Tabernacle which is conducted by one of the two pastors with live prayers, readings and sermon, and pre-COVID19 lockdown recorded hymns and organ. It is always amazing to hear the invisible “congregation” suddenly appear, and stand up or sit down, and then suddenly the empty echoey church again after the hymn!!

Churches are now supposed to be open for private prayer only. I haven’t noticed any of the Anglican (or Catholic) ones open yet, as their bishops have gone along with the lockdown narrative completely, closing their churches before the government did, and presumably opening them a long time after the government gives permission, possibly in July, for in person services. As for “Free Churches” that don’t open anyway outside normal services, and most particularly the truly evangelical churches, there has been a deafening silence as to reopening, and I fear they will meekly accept whatever strict conditions are laid on them by the government. Mask wearing will probably be one of them.

I actually have an overactive sinus condition, and now masks are compulsory on public transport in England I find these things insufferable and very unpleasant. I am certainly not going to wear them in church. No baptisms, communion, singing, very likely to be the rule for church services, no doubt. Evangelicals in Britain will meekly submit, and China with its nasty virus has won!! It has closed the churches in the whole world, not just in its own country!!

Yes, I am a little puzzled why SA has shunted the news away from the front home page, hiding it behind technical news. I do hope this has not been done as a fearful reaction to the BLM and LGBTQI protests.

I have been somewhat alarmed at how true solid evangelicals, are rapidly following the already compromised “neo-evangelicals” in hiding Biblical comment and true debate, and beginning to endeavour to be a little “politically correct” in the face of atrocious and concentrated leftist propaganda, particularly as you gear up to the November elections.

Already the supposedly “conservative” justices on the US Supreme Court have handed important decisions to the left. One very respected evangelical leader who has consistently refused to open his church during the lockdown, was prepared to do so when President Trump said that churches should open, but buckled before a liberal justice in Communist California, saying “this is the law of the land”. No, it is not the law of the land, it is unconstitutional! China has not only closed its own churches, it has succeeded in closing the churches in the West as well!! Christians now cower in fear before the LGBTQI and BLM movements as well. Very sad indeed!!

Although this is excellent news for many women who were afraid that their private space would be invaded by biological men claiming to be women, parents afraid that their children would be punished for politically incorrect comments (but scientifically and medically correct), if a teacher or another pupil “changed their gender” or “transitioned to the other gender”, sports women and girls who would train hard and keep off all drugs in vain, only to see their prizes snatched away by powerful biological men, stuffed with opposite sex hormones and strong bodies, but claiming to be women or girls, or churches afraid of being sued if they didn’t change their toilets, endangering their female congregants; but there is a sting in the tail.

Unfortunately to appease the angry LGBTQI crowd, who are furious at this common sense and biologically correct measure, our PM is sadly throwing them the bone of banning “conversion” or “reparative” therapy, meaning that folks, perhaps many of them abused as youngsters, would be banned from receiving helpful therapy or counselling, to get away from unwanted LGBTQI desires, or to leave that lifestyle. I am not clear yet if PM Johnson’s bone will only apply to children and minors under 18, or if it will be across the board for adults as well.

This shows that it is not just evangelical Christians, or so called “right wing bigots” who have fallen foul of this politically correct fascist nonsense. Artists, traditional feminists, even left wing occultic authors like J K Rowling of the Harry Potter novels, conscientious teachers, doctors, and so on have been black balled, threatened, thrown out of their jobs, businesses, universities, and so on, because they will not bow the knee, and because they defend the fact that a man is a man, and a woman is a woman!!

The same wickedness is going on as people are sacked, expelled and threatened because they do not accept the global warming and the BLM movements!! The globalists, and countries like China, Iran, Turkey, Russia, and other dictatorships are laughing at us in the West all the way to the bank!! And they even succeeded in getting us to ruin our economy, and close our churches, and keep them closed!!!

Of course BRF is right in that we can pray anywhere, and of course we do not need a building to do that. However, I suppose this is at least a symbolic opening of church buildings, though presumably mainly only Anglican and Catholic Churches will open, as “Free Churches”, with some very rare exceptions, do not open their buildings, except for services.

It will be what happens when in house public services are allowed in the church building that greatly concerns me.

It will not really be acceptable if most activities of the church are banned, singing is outlawed, together with communion, baptisms, and any kind of fellowship, together no doubt with compulsory wearing of masks, combined with the fact that older and frailer members of the congregation are firmly otherwise told they are not welcome, and to stay at home!!

Dear Mr Lincoln, I for one am very glad that when I was a boy my school permitted distribution of Bibles by the Gideons. In my day they did use the KJV, which actually is a very good version, using the same texts that the Reformers and Puritans used. Never fear, nowadays, I believe that they use modern translations like the NIV, unfortunately based on the liberal texts of Westcott / Hort / Nestle /Aland.

As I understand your strange atheistic secularist system in the USA, (which, by the way, was only like that from the 1960’s, when two regrettable activist Supreme Court judgements were handed down, because of the activism of a militant atheistic woman, Madelyn Murray O’Hare), banning any kind of prayer and then finally Bible reading in public schools.

However, the other religions do get into the schools, and I am not merely talking about after school clubs, but actually as part of the curriculum. The atheistic societies and ACLU are usually conspicuously absent when this happens, only appearing if there is remotely Christian. Yoga, martial arts, lessons about Islam, meditation and mindfulness, along with subtle forms of Earth worship in environmentalism, even witchcraft and Satanism, are often a key component of curricula and after school activities in your public schools

As I have an overactive sinus condition, I have been grateful that masks have not been made compulsory in Britain until now. I would imagine they would be quite hot, sticky, insufferable and uncomfortable to wear for a long while.

Unfortunately, our PM has now bowed to the tremendous pressure from some of the medical and scientific “experts”, and from Monday 15th June, to coincide with the partial lifting of some of the lockdown on that day, with some very limited exceptions, masks are now to be compulsory on all public transport in England, and also at all times in hospitals (every area, not just treatment areas), though thankfully not in shops or other areas, as far as I know.

Because of my condition, I shall use a scarf that I can throw over mouth or nose, and take off immediately I leave the bus, train, hospital or whatever, which as far as I know is perfectly legal. I must also remember to take my leprosy bell, so I can shout, “Unclean!! Unclean!!”. The rules do not apply, as far as I am aware, to Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, though the governments there have very strongly encouraged the use of masks.

I was truly blessed in the late 1950’s, the 1960’s and the early 1970’s, to have a broadly Christian and even at times Bible based education, in both my main primary school, and my secondary selective grammar school, (both Church of England Anglican foundations), but in the state or public school system with funding by the LEA, or local council, (as was usual in Britain).

The RE in my primary school was actually based only on the Bible, even if the teachers were probably not evangelical, and so were the morning assemblies!!

The secondary school actually possessed a chapel, had a chapel choir, but again in my earlier years there was Bible based RE, though later on interfaith elements did begin to seep in. The second of the three chaplains in my school was an evangelical, and started a Christian Union. At age 11 in my 1st year there, (6th grade to you in the US), we had a Gideons presentation, and I also believe there was also a Bible distribution in another occasion of Bristol City Council (the funding LEA), in my primary school!!

Our British set up is a little different from the radically humanist secularist system of the public schools in both the USA and also in France, which has a similar emphasis.

The British state school system does indeed face many of the same secularist pressures of the United States system, and sadly LGBT etc., environmentalism, political correctness and wokeness are taught in the schools.

We have both state and church schools in England that receive public funding, and broadly divided into 3 types: LEA schools, run by local councils that are slowly dying out, as no new ones can be founded or built. The second type are academies, run by private trusts and corporations, including religious foundations, but with central government funding, and free schools, usually run by small groups or parents, with some central government funding, but still using the National curriculum.

However, it is still better for Christian parents to either homeschool (which is legal here), or failing that place their children in the few tiny genuinely evangelical Christian independent schools.

Tragically with mayors, governors, and in our case national governments keeping churches closed, while at the same time, withdrawing police and letting lawless mobs throw down the statues they don’t like, (thus bypassing legal democratic processes for removing questionable monuments, and thereby also whitewashing and altering history), and loot and destroy businesses (often owned by law abiding African Americans who have worked very hard to build them up), other important and vital issues are indeed being neglected.

Just as a single chief judge tipped the casting vote for “gay marriage”, and more recently over the church closing issue in California, this transgender nonsense could go either way, perhaps over a single casting vote in the court.

Grieving relatives at a funeral, genuine biological girls training hard and competing in women’s sports, children at school who are terrified of being punished for saying something politically incorrect, (but which is actually medically and scientifically correct), even churches having to relabel their own toilets, and women in refuges, cloakrooms, changing rooms, sports facilities and shops, and not feeling safe lest a biological man should burst in and disturb their privacy, could all be adversely affected by this coming court decis

The danger of all this in the localised federal system you have in the USA, is that as local Democrat and leftist cities yield to the mob, disband their local police forces, the alternatives for not look too inviting. There is some talk, I understand in some places of replacing the armed professional police with “community patrols”, something like those ineffective unarmed watchmen we had from the 18th century, in Britain, with I guess the not so local county sheriffs and state police filling in the gap for the more serious things. The unpopular federal authorities would also have to be more involved.

The reality is that militants and unofficial vigilante groups from both the ethnic black and the Muslim communities, as well as some other groups, would end up in taking over the day to day policing of certain areas, turning them into no go zones and no doubt their brutality and rough justice could well make the abolished police departments almost gentle in comparison. This is a very dangerous situation, and not at all desirable.

In some ways this reminds me of the 18th century here in Britain. Police forces as we know them today was an early 19th century innovation.

In the 18th century there was a great deal of lawlessness, particularly in the cities. In the country areas, the squire who usually owned most of the land in the village, also often functioned as a JP (Justice of the Peace) or local magistrate (more serious cases went on to the more major prisons, and the Court of Assizes with professional judges), while in the cities was a band of completely ineffective and unarmed. watchmen. There was major disorder and drunkenness, thieves, footpads and highwaymen abounded everywhere, but if they got caught, penalties were savage, the death penalty, transportation or imprisonment with hard labour being usual.

Tragically the churches were often totally dead, but praise to the Lord, the Methodist revival broke out, and those that were literate were exposed to the Bible, and also to the Puritan writers of 100 years or so previously.
